The Young Avengers: A Very Avengers Holiday (YARP Part 6)

OOC: When Nova was at private school some years ago, she became best friends with Samantha (Sammie) Hoskins. But she caused too much trouble with her newfound partner in crime that her mom took her out of school, and Sammie stayed there, so they lost contact up until Sammie shows up in New York. The only problem is that Sammie is working for HYDRA, and her assignment is to take out the YA, starting with Nova because Nova is the "weakest link."

OOC: LOL if you only knew, it gets so much worse.

On a general timeline the plan was-
1. Nova and Sammie run into each other after Nova gets into a fight with a team member.
2. Sammie gains Nova's trust and they become friends again.
3. Nova introduces Sammie to the team, and they either love or hate her.
4. Sammie continues to manipulate Nova until she drives a wedge between Nova and the team.
5. Nova leaves the tower after finding out Sammie is leaving again, ends up getting kidnapped.
6. Nova is taken to a HYDRA base somewhere, smashes her phone so no one can find her.
7. The team arrives to the HYDRA base, likely with Maria Hill and Director Coulson, where there's a huge confrontation and Nova nearly dies.
8. Sammie survives.
9. Nova becomes haunted by the experience.
10. Nova starts to see Sammie everywhere she turns.
11. Sammie taunts Nova from the shadows.
12. Sammie corners Nova in an alleyway somewhere, causing Nova to fight with her, resulting in Nova axing off Sammie for real.
13. Afer Nova tells the team what happened, whether they witness it or not, she is forced to confront her emotional issues that she keeps buried.

And that, my friends, is how complicated this plot was.

OOC: That is very complicated.

Okay, so here's my thought: we've talked vaguely about the future, on what happens after the time skip, but what we really need to do is sit down and talk about/plan what we really need to do. We need to have goals about where we want our characters to be. We need to have a timeline. And we need a timeline in which we know where everything fits. So we decide what has to happen and anything else that we want that might be fun can be fit in if possible.

OOC: Sounds like a good idea. I'm just a but hesitant to put anything super set in stone in case of change but losing some of the fun of discovering things later on. While we can share some things I think others should be kept to just us.

So after the time hop we are going to senior year?
It'd be second semester and they are getting into colleges and such. That means it's the first half of 2016.
That August is the Olympics. Rio 2016.
That's when Jay will propose to Hope. Their wedding will be Christmastime of that year.
They'll start college. September 2016
For those on track and getting a Bachelor's Degree they'll gradate May 2020
Tokyo Olympics is 2020

Back to the college thing it'd probably be easier if they went to one or two colleges near each other. They could do dorms or buy a horse nearby they all would live it. A lot of college students rent out rooms, my dad might do that actually.
I'm assuming Hope and Jay will get their own place after the wedding?
Same for anyone else getting married during college?

I really don't see Jay going to college, he's definitely not the best student. But I don't think he needs it. He'll live near the others. Ideally he'd move near the archery training base in San Diego, but I don't want to separate him from the group. After Hope finishes college,

I may have Clint and Nat move to San Diego after Rio. It'd be better for Clint to train others. He's just having a special task to train Jay personally. But even know he's going to do a lot of business trips.

You know, maybe a lot of them should end up in Southern California? There are a lot of science jobs for Hope. And Stark seemed to live there again in Iron Man 3. I haven't forgotten about Britain tho with Hope and Jay wanting to move there.

Jay is going to do archery for a while. Luckily with that sport you don't have to retire early. You can't live on that alone tho. But Jay's so charismatic he'll double as a commentator and do a bunch of commercials (Phelps made SO much money off commercials) and I may have him transition into being a full time actor. I think he'd have a blast with that.

Evelyn is a bit harder to plan for. I'm not sure what I want her to do yet. But Like I mentioned earlier maybe with something with design, or a government official being a translator. I could see her maybe marrying Mike, but it wouldn't be super soon like the Hope Jay thing. She's going to college to get a bachelor's, probably a master's too.

OOC: It can be a bit loose, I just want us to be organized and on the same page.

Yes, I can see them having a house.

That sounds good. Yeah, Silicon Valley and all that, probably a good place for them. They probably don't need to truly live there, but with all the money they'll earn they could probably buy a summer house there.

I think that's a very good set up Jay. And Hope will make off with tins of money too so they'll be good to go.

Hope will get some sort of Science degree. It'll be at either MIT, Harvard, or Stanford. MIT is basically top in everything, so it will likely be there, but Harvard has a top biology program and Stanford is a huge school for doctors. She'll probably do riding to pay for college until she gets her doctorate, and that's when she may stop riding for anything more taxing than recreation.

Mike will originally try for army, with Conrad and maybe Raven, but that won't last long. Mike will then get into college on a sports scholarship, football or baseball, and choose either a political science, history (in which case he will likely end up a teacher), law or medical degree. He'll play professional ball in whatever he does for about 5-10 years, then get injured to where he can't play anymore and then retire. I can see him marrying Evelyn, but it's not the same as Hope and Jay where I can't imagine them being anything but married. He'll probably end up running for president and becoming America's youngest president.

I'm not very sold on Raven's future, but the way I see it, I've only got a few options -
  • Raven dies. Very soon.
  • Raven lives, but doesn't go to college and is a SHIELD agent and assassin for the rest of her days.
  • Raven lives, goes military, and has a successful military/black ops/CIA or FBI/SHIELD career
  • If Raven's meeting with her old band goes well (as in they don't hate her and forgive her) she abandons everything, never goes to college, and rejoins the band as Carmen Murray again and is a rocker all her life.
  • Maybe, a very slim maybe, she actually tries to live a normal life with college and job and everything
Conrad, I'm still feeling him out, but he'll either has an Air Force career, join SHIELD, be an actor or musician or go to college and get a degree. I'm not sure what would be best for him. Computer science? Medicine? Veterinary sciences? Teaching?

OOC: Yeah totally I agree.

Dude I love Boston/Cambridge (MIT and Havard). My dad is from there and I was born a hour away. Stark went to MIT. The area around Stanford is so beautiful. My aunt's buried near it. All three would be good.

Thanks I'm happy with Jay's set-up too. A second house in Cali sounds good. And I still think I'll have Clint and Nat move there eventually.

Sounds like a good plan for Mike. I agree with the marriage thing. I think Mike and Evelyn would be a happy couple but it's not a destiny need thing. Then again I don't anyone can be like Jay and Hope lol.

Those are all options for Raven. I don't think you should kill her tho.

Those would all work for Conrad. Or commercial pilot. You know Conrad better than I do.

OOC: True, pilot would be good for Conrad too. I don't want to kill Raven but I can't rule it out.

OOC: I agree for Conrad. Don't kill Raven. Just give it some time I think it'll come to you.
OOC: The way you said that makes me think that you already know what I should do about Raven and you're waiting for me to figure it out.

OOC:
Its obvious what the Asgardians have in their future. They're just gonna go back to Asgard and rule.

June, I think she's just going to go work at SHIELD and then die in her 20s.

OOC: I just don't think she has a future, nowhere near as much as Raven does as an agent. I don't really care about June all that much anyways and I wouldn't know what to do with her otherwise.

OOC: Too bad I care about her. You cloud just have her live out her days happily as a SHIELD agent. Maybe meet a nice agent boy.

OOC: LOL

OOC: Gee what's up with death? haha. Poor June :(

OOC: I was being serious

And aw Bri, I'm sorry. Maybe if we'd done things differently, had different characters, or if Noelle would show up more often...but there's nothing we can do. I don't think anyway. Is there?

OOC: No it's just is funny how you were so mystified and took it way further than I did.

OOC: Yeah :)

Natasha: She came back downstairs.

Jay: Everyone was finishing up and cleaning up their plants. Jay headed to the fridge and took out carrots and put them next to Santa's cookies. "It'd be just rude not to leave the reindeer's a energy booster. They'd get angry at Santa, and really shouldn't be fed cookies."

Hope: "That's so thoughtful."

OOC: It's okay. I just don't think I'm as attatched to my characters here as you two are. It's not a bad thing. I like my characters in CA more than these ones tbh, it's kinda like how Perry feels but the opposite way.
