If I read this on here, I apologize. I think I read it on the soapcentral boards though. No time to read back through this thread and check!
There is speculation that Cane is alive and thinks Lily knows. That he put the info about faking his death in the letter that still hasn't turned up. Logically that doesn't make sense since we saw her mourning him in the morgue. But with Y&R, who knows?

that would make sense.
if he wrote it in the letter cane would have thought she would have seen it. he would have had no way of knowing it fell behind the desk where it still sits.
but what confuses me is that "IF" he is alive why is he popping in on her and not actually talking to her??
why go so far as to stand outside the window or stand in an elevator where anyone could see him and not say anything just smile and draw stupid hearts on the window.
thing is - i think they wanted him dead but since there's been since such an outcry they may have changed their minds and are scrambling to figure out how to bring him back so that it's believable - well.....as believable as you can get in a soap.

Victor testifies for Sharon, is questioned about the night Skye died as well as helping Skye fake her death

Adam takes the stand to testify, but the DA manages to make her look worse given that Adam is a "hostile" witness on the stand. Sharon gets wind of the negative verdict coming back, and flees!
Adam leads Nick and Phyllis on a wild goose chase as they try to find Sharon!
Hmm...I wonder if Sharon might change some physical feature about herself, and meet a soothing country vet on her adventures?

---Chloe and Gloria's crazy adventures land them in a jail cell. Hijinks ensue.

Soooo on daytime Confidential, they posted a blind item saying a show was about to go into a "lengthy doppleganger" storyline. They say all 6 remaining soaps are going to "bring it" in the spring and summer! One show will have one of it's most popular character kidnapped by the look alike.
I see everyone is already saying it's Erica Kane on AMC but could this pertain to Y&R?

The Young and the Restless, executive producer and head writer, Maria Arena Bell spoke with On-Air On-Soaps shortly after the official on set cake cutting ceremony celebrating the tremendous achievement of the series landmark 38-year anniversary on their soundstage at CBS. Maria shared her thoughts on the state of the number one rated soap, addressed concerns from the viewers as to why certain decisions were made involving characters and storylines, reveals why the decision to let Emily OBrien (Jana) go, and gives us a small preview of whats ahead in the coming months. Heres our quickie conversation with Maria!
Many fans are concerned about the state of Y&R. While the show is still number one in the ratings, there are weeks where the show is losing viewers, and there is concern about the loss of certain characters. Are you in the midst of a refocusing of the show and the characters that inhabit Genoa City?
MARIA: For me, the core characters are those classic Y&R characters that I love to drive story with. But its an every changing canvas of many, many people and many characters. You know story arcs come and go, and the life of a character can end and be very profound, and really powerful in storytelling. For me, my goal has always been to utilize the classic Y&R style with a modern twist. I live in the modern world. I think that for instance, in pacing and the way that storytelling is now, for me the show feels right. There is something engaging to tune-in to every day, and every day needs to be like a Friday. And, that is what we need to be to keep the viewers engaged and to get them to watch every day.
Are there cost cutting measures going on?
MARIA: There are always cost-cutting measures, and also some of it is to move more quickly in the studio and things like that. My main focus is to preserve what is so good about Y&R, and what the fans and viewers should not perceive as cost-cutting measures. It should be in things that dont impact them. The things that they really want to see are the great storytelling with this great cast, and their favorite characters. And, that is what is worth fighting to preserve on this show. When you sort of look at a lot of the other shows that have sort of lost their way, they also have lost some of their core characters, and lost some of what makes those shows what they are. I think Y&R is still quintessentially Y&R. We have those moments still. Just in the last arc of shows surrounding Eric Braedens (Victor) performance around the company and having the children cause him to do what he never wanted to do and his anguish, to me, that is classic Y&R storytelling. It has the boardroom, the bedroom, and everything in between, and that is what we are known for. So, I feel like we are giving the audience classic Y&R.
Was it hard to decide to have Emily OBrien (Jana) leave the show?
MARIA: I love Emily as an actress! She is one of the great young actresses on the show, and its much more about a character arc and a story point, and has absolutely nothing to do with her as a performer. She has always delivered and was always terrific. I am going to miss her very, very much. But again, its about the storytelling and storytelling has to keep moving forward.
And for Spring, what can you preview is ahead in Genoa City?
MARIA: A lot of romance some really shocking twists and we are going to be seeing some fun new characters hitting the scene. And you see, that is how it works in the soaps.
Of the 38 years Y&R has been on-air, and of the time you have taken over the reins of the show, what in your mind resonates as one of the best Y&R moments of all-time?
MARIA: That is so hard. You know, we just flashed to some air shows about three weeks ago of Jack throwing the chair out the window with Victor, and those two great titans having a showdown. And then the great, great moments we have had with Jeanne Cooper, under my tenure, just thinking of her playing Marge and playing Katherine and doing that funeral episode where she narrated. Just that moment of her, and seeing her humor, which we rarely get to see is so memorable. She is so funny. So that was fantastic. We had a great moment just a few weeks ago when you saw that it was Victors birthday and he had just lost the arbitration case, and in comes Nikki. You see that core relationship of the show of that love story that just keeps going on. And, Victor couldnt say anything, and she couldnt say anything, but they needed each other. Those are those moments. Its hard to pick just one!

Look, I'm not really a Jana fan but this woman, Maria, saying getting rid of her was about the storyline? Hard to believe when we have to endure NuMalcom and Sophia's endless yammering OR how about that bookie-gangster storyline with Keven and that creepy guy with the dog who won't harm women and who seems to be everywhere but Heather has still never met him nor run into him as the DA? What a load!! A fifth grader could write their storline sometimes. I watch for fun and it's much more fun with a DVR!!!

vance gave her clothes to wear - i'm guessing Nick let him or his assistant into the house since he would have access to her house but it just wanst' mentioned.

Ever since Cane was shot and killed on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, fans have been clamoring for his portrayer, Daniel Goddard, to return to the canvas for more than just ghostly appearances to his alter ego's widow, Lily. This may be the good news Y&R fans have been hoping for: Soaps In Depth hears that -- due in part to the fan support he's received since Cane was killed off -- Goddard is definitely not leaving the show, and will continue to appear beyond just figments of Lily's imagination! A spokesperson for Y&R states that Goddard remains a contract player on the show.

I'm guessing the show will probably air early May.
Aww what a sweet picture. See...you look at her in pictures like this and she is so adorable its frustrating that she is so nutty. Then again, I was a major Chloe hater and now she is at the top of my favorites list!

Genie Francis joins 'Young and the Restless' -- EXCLUSIVE

General Hospital fans, you may want to consider changing loyalties: EW has learned exclusively that Genie Francis, aka Laura Vining Webber Baldwin Spencer Spencer from the ABC sudser, will join The Young and the Restless as a series regular at the end of May.
Francis will play the mother of Ethan Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), who was declared dead outside his dads wedding last month and is now appearing as a ghost on the show. His sudden passing lathered up the fans, so the addition of Francis should reignite speculation that Cane will remain an integral part of Genoa City. (His ghost is expected to continue appearing through the month).
Francis will begin taping in a month.
The actress decision to abandon the ABC world and join Y&R shouldnt come as a huge surprise to Hospital fans, who no doubt heard what Francis said while appearing on Oprahs Legendary Soap Star Spectacular last month. Oprah Winfrey asked Francis is shed ever return to Hospital and she said, If there is a way to go forward with Laura and make her into what Id like her to be now, then perhaps I would do it.
I would like her to be funny and have a little bit of an agenda that might look a little bit vengeful, but it really isnt. I think shed have a plan, she continued. There is nothing in me that is willing to play a victim anymore. Im sort of done with the wounded dove in my life.
