First things first, Lame? How old are you, 12? Anyway, I don't introduce myself to people often. I don't ignore them, I'm just somewhat of a recluse. Not always a good thing, but just a personality trait that I have. Unlike you, I average less than 1 post per day. There are many threads that I just read without commenting. I guess if more people were rude, then I might say more, but they're not. I'm a 34 year old straight male in a thread with what I assume are mostly women. That's another reason I keep quiet. Since you are probably someone's wife, mother, and daughter, I'll end the petty bickering here out of respect for those titles you may hold. I have a wife, mother, and sister. I wouldn't want some anonymous man fussing with them on the internet and I wouldn't want my son to do it either.

OK, I'm back from the shortest Disney trip ever (left Saturday). I had to return on a sad note. My 93 year old grandaddy passed away early Tuesday morning and we arrived back home late Tuesday night. He's in a better place with my granny.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my BigMama (my granny) 13 years ago this Sunday so I can imagine how your family will be feeling this Holiday season. You and yours are in my thoughts!

Hi all - long, longtime Y & R watcher here (and I lurk on this thread every day). Most everyone seems very friendly - but if we all got 'spoken to' the way DaParkers did after his 1st post here, I doubt many of the other 11,000 some odd lurkers will step up to post either! I have actually come to rely on this thread a lot - over the years that I've been watching the show, there are times that I have to step away from it because the storylines really start to irritate me - like this Sharon/Adam thing. So I keep reading along with you on this thread, and I know when to tune in and enjoy again!

* Chloe shows up for the rest of her things, Kevin asks if she would still like to go to the Christmas play with him but Chloe doesn't think that's a good idea. Kevin gets pissed, tells Chloe to leave her key and not be there when he gets back
* Nick is actually nice to Phyllis despite the article she wrote, all he tells her is that she should have considered Noah and Faith and that Sharon is no longer his problem. Noah on the other hand, does tell Phyllis that she didn't have to be so vicious and that one day things would backfire on her
* Gloria confronts Jana telling her that she should stop sniffing around Kevin, he's not intersted but then Jana tells her that she and Kevin made love. Gloria questions Chloe who confirms it is true, Gloria is pissed that since Chloe and Kevin's friendship is over, "Crazy Baby Jane" is back on their lives
* Adam pays a guy to help him prove his innocence, the guy was working at the club the night Skye disappeared and gives Adam photos from camera in the freight elevator. Adam calls Phyllis with his proof, Phyllis isn't convinced. Jack finds out that Phyllis struck a deal with Adam and Sharon, he doesn't want anything happening to Phyllis and will watch her back from now on
* Sharon goes to see Faith in the Christmas play, she watches emotionally and hides as everyone leaves. Sharon speaks to the reverend about facing backlash by supporting a man everyone hates, but caring and forgiving him. Sharon doesn't know how much longer she can live without her kids. The reverend says he doesn't have the answer she's looking for, but it will come. Just then Adam arrives with a photo proving that he couldn't have killed Skye (The photo shows Skye hiding her face with an umbrella and someone with her (Victor). The time stamp proves Adam couldn't have killed her) Adam promises that Sharon will reunite with Faith

Next - Nick and Diane kiss; Adam shows the evidence to Phyllis; Billy tells Ashley that he wants to make Victoria happy

I have a Big Mama! She is 90, and I can't imagine this world without her. She is my only living grandparent. Still lives on her own, next door to my parents, and tries to run the show!

NC so sorry to hear about your loss its hard enough loosing someone we love but around the holidays it just makes that much harder.

AS Victoria said to Nick..."Congratulations, you have finally turned into our father"...was spot on. I wanted to slap her high five at that moment.

The writers better get her pregnant again and have her hold on to the baby...they would make such a great family. I dont want the writers to mess with that relationship...sure they can give them ups and downs like marriages have but not catastrophe after catastrophe...

NCState-I’m so so sorry for your loss! Today is the 4th anniversary of my mom’s passing and my birthday was a few days ago so I understand how bittersweet this time can be. I ‘m sure you know that faith and perspective go a long way in helping! I seriously hope they keep Victoria and Billy on the “Michael and Lauren path” of marital bliss!! They are such a great couple!! They are so thoughtful of each other’s needs… ....it just warms my heart!! …wait! oh no! You don’t think they are getting rid of Lauren or Michael do you??

Anyways generally everything I think has generally been covered:

Malcom sucks CHECK
Diane's hair was better on the other soap CHECK

Other than that I really really really hope they don't drag out the whole skye isn't really dead thing too long. I feel bad for Sharon, she knows he didn't do it and is standing up for him (why she has to sleep with him while standing up for him I don't know) but is losing everything over it. It sucks. Why can't they have her stand up for something and be happy for once?

Good news for fans of Maria Arena Bell’s style of storytelling on CBS’ The Young and the Restless: She’s been named executive producer on the daytime drama, EW has learned exclusively. Bell was named head writer of the sudser in March 2008 and will remain in that capacity as she takes on greater responsibility, which includes leading the writing team and overseeing all creative aspects of the show.

The Young and the Restless has been the No. 1 rated daytime drama on TV for more than 22 years and is in its 37th season. Last week, the soap – which is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company, in association with Sony Pictures TV – finished in the top spot among adults 18-49. (The No.2 show was Days of Our Lives, another sudser from Sony that airs on NBC).

Previously, Bell wrote for The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
