What a cool photo :goodvibes

Looks like a beautiful place, have they lived there long? Or did you live there and then mobe to Fl? I know I'm nosey :rotfl2:

I agree with Lessa paintballing sounds like fun but also way too painful  :rotfl:

the beach shots were gorgeous. I love sunsets.

the departing plane shots were really cool. I thought all electronics off. I would have yelled at you. :rotfl2: I follow every rule on a plane.

*gasps* Z, you were on the 4th page! :scared1: BLASPHEMY!

Hee.

Your photos of PR are amazing. What a gorgeous place. :cloud9: I hope I get to visit there one day. The beach looked like a little slice of heaven!

Glad to hear that you had such a wonderful visit with your family. The paintball looked like fun! Maybe the next time my brothers go paintballing, I can convince them to let me tag along.

Hope you're doing well, and I look forward to your next update whenever that may be! :goodvibes

Hi all, sorry I haven't updated lately. March is usually a crazy month for me and this year was no different.

Sorry I haven't updated, I'll try to get to that this week and thank you all about the lovely comments on the PR pics. It truly is a beautiful island and pretty much my entire family lives there, give or take a few cousins so it's always good to catch up with them.

Anyhoo, I went on a cruise last week, but am back now and will try to finish up this particular trip to move onto the next one and the ones after that.

Thank you all for following along you guys are the best!:grouphug:

Thanks Scott!

:rotfl: I love travelling, if I won the lottery that's the first thing I'd do. Is it a wonder I love the WS at Epcot so much? :goodvibes

It was a really nice cruise, it's always fun to get away. The great thing about my job is I work 3 days at night (Fri-Sun) and have Mon-Friday morning off and the cruise was a Mon-Fri cruise so I didn't have to take any time off from work. It went to Key West and Cozumel, which I've been to; but it was a free cruise so who am I to say no. :teeth: It was still a lot of fun and I got to experience a different cruise line.

Anyhoo, just getting back into the swing of things so will try to get an update up later today.

You didn't have to take time off work! That's great, can't wait to read all about it :thumbsup2

When we last left off our Foursome was headed on over to Universal Studios. We had pretty much finished off IoA in about 4 hours with the loverly ExpressPass.

Some pics on the way to Universal:

Yani’s BF spotted a bakery and decided he wanted a cookie and something to drink so while they went into the shop to get their stuff I took a seat to rest my ankle and people watched and caught this lady. This is how not to sit with whatever that thing is:

CIMG2632.jpg

After the snacks were bought we proceeded to ride the movies. The first stop was Shrek 4D.

Here’s a funny poster from the queue:
CIMG2633.jpg

There were more (sort of like the ones from Philharmagic), but I missed them.

The pre-show of this is really long and unfortunately the pre-show MC was really boring and I was falling asleep from tiredness and his monotone voice. Usually the MC is funny, but this guy sucked or maybe I was cranky. Either way it felt like forever before we were actually let in to the theater. It was nice, not something to do every trip, but it was fun.

On our way out we spotted this:

CIMG2634.jpg

Unfortunately that darn lady walked right in front of me when I snapped the pic.

After this it gets kinda fuzzy but I know we rode Twister and Earthquake utilizing our loverly ExpressPass (which actually came in handy on this side) and then made our way over to ride The Mummy rollercoaster.

CIMG2635.jpg

Yani opted out again so we left all our crap with her and we bypassed all the suckers with the ExpressPass and were soon fleeing from the Mummy. The queue in this is fun because they have tv monitors all around with “behind the scenes” with Brendan Frasier (mmmmmm) and how the set was haunted. It’s really funny.

After the Mummy everyone was pretty hungry and there’s a great pizza place so we all stopped and grabbed some lunch. I had an ice cream because we still had CS DDP credits to use up and I was planning on eating after we finished up US.

More fuzziness on what we did, but I’m pretty sure the next attraction we rode was Jaws.

CIMG0510.jpg

Jaws is almost like Jungle Cruise, but with the Jaws storyline; the boat captains are really funny and corny like the JC ones.
We passed where the old Back to the Future ride used to be and saw signs for the Simpsons ride that would be taking it’s place, so that’ll be cool to see when it’s done, then headed off to ride E.T.

CIMG0527.jpg

CIMG0529.jpg

CIMG0530.jpg

It’s so cute and the theming of the ride is done really well, although they need to refurb some of the animitronic models.

We decided to watch the Fear Factor Live show and that was cool. We waited awhile for it and Yani’s BF was going to participate, but they had just closed the casting. So we chilled in the shade for the show. It wasn’t as bad as the show because they didn’t have to eat weird stuff. If the show were like that I would so do it, but the whole eating of bugs is just gross.

After Fear Factor we headed over to Terminator 2 3:D. This show is pretty cool, but it’s a bit outdated now and really needs a refurb or replaced with something newer.

Everyone decided they wanted to eat again and I got kinda mad because we had just eaten and we had the DDP credits that we would be using very soon because we were almost done with the park. I reminded everyone of this, but apparently they were too hungry to wait and bought more food. Whatevah! (sorry had to steal that DM). I was a little mad and I think they kinda got annoyed with me for whining about using the CS credits we had left.

After everyone was done eating….again. We only had 1 thing left which was the Men In Black ride (think Buzz Lightyear ride). It was really fun and I don’t remember having ridden the ride and we had a blast shooting at all the aliens.

That was our last ride of the day and we were pretty much done with US. The Express Pass came in real handy in the shows we were able to use them on, since not all the attractions on this side of the park use it.

We did some last minute shopping (mostly in the bakery) and then piled back into the car and headed over to DTD to use up our credits.

DTD was a madhouse! We eventually made it over to Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwhich. I really wanted to try EoS, but none of the sandwhiches appealed to me so I wanted WP, but the line was ridiculous! The EoS line wasn’t any better. We wandered aimlessly around for about 10 min. then I just decided to get in line at WP whose line had significantly dwindled down. We ordered our food and took it to go and ate in the car on the way back. I told Yani I was too tired to drive home and she was too, so James ended up driving. We ate our food, it was ok, it wasn’t very warm so I was a little disappointed. Yani & James didn’t eat because they were full (naw really)! I ended up falling asleep and woke up 3 hrs later when we got home.

We survived 6 parks in 4 days, but were totally exhausted from it. It was fun being with my friends and sharing Disney with them and not having any drama or breakdowns or anything. We had tons of new memories and good times and wanted to go back almost as soon as we got home. Yani's BF never saw the Disney magic and was lured by the dark side of US/IoA, but that's ok at least he got to experience the parks and I understand that Disney isn't always for everyone.

So that concludes the August trip....finally.

Up next a quick trip for the MNSSHP & F&W festival. popcorn::

I am looking so forward to going to US. I have not been in over 10 years. still can't decide if I need those passes. :confused3

great pics.

your cruise sounded great.

:rotfl2: u got yelled at for taking redneck pics. :lmao: :rotfl:

You're going in September right? You could probably do fine without the passes. The worst rides for wait times are The Hulk & Spiderman and Twister and Earthquake at Universal. But in September the Universal ones are most likely walk on and the other two don't have too bad a wait.

Thank you the cruise was great.

Yeah, they don't really condone rednecking the pics, I wonder if I'm the first to have done that.  I blame it on the flash, I think they must've seen the flash and caught on. I wasn't able to redneck 2 pics, but oh well. At least I got the ones I did. :teeth:

Great pictures, even if it is of 'that other place'! Good to see the world traveler made it back safely from yet another adventure.

It's nice that you had a good time and have a lot of good memories to treasure. That's one of life's nicest gifts!

How do you think US and IOA are the first week of June. I'm thinking about going for a day and I really don't want to spend the money on the FOTLP. We will probably only have one day to go.

Those FP's really helped and why were they always so hungry???? So did you use up all your dining credits?

So what trip is next popcorn::

Thanks MeMom, it's good to be back!

This is so true! I really like that quote MeMom! :goodvibes

Oh I really don't know :confused3 I'm sorry.

For some reason I always end up at over there in Aug/Sept. I've gone in mid April and it wasn't too busy, but that was back in 2001 so don't know how much the crowds have changed. We went in early April last year and IoA was super busy since it was Spring Break time and US got busy in the late afternoon, but that was because of the Mardi Gras thing they were doing. Usually if you get to either park early the crowds aren't bad, after 2 pm it starts getting busier.

Those FP's really helped and why were they always so hungry???? So did you use up all your dining credits?

I have no idea why they were hungry, I guess they were tired of eating fancy Disney food and were dying for fast food (burgers, pizza, hot dogs). :confused3 We were able to use up all our dining credits though.

I'm gonna try to start the Oct trip for MNSSHP and Food & Wine Fest. I uploaded the pics last night.

Stay tuned! :)

I do like the other place. I so wish I was in driving distance of WDW, I'm jealous!

Can't wait to read about the next trip!
