After the quick change in clothes and some drying off in the bathroom we proceed to the next area of the park.
We cross a little bridge and come upon this:
and in the middle of the bridge the music changes to the Jurassic Park theme song. I am in my own little piece of heaven humming along with the music. JP is my absolute favorite movie and we even made a special trip to IoA when the movie was released and they added this section to the park.
We head on over the River Adventure and soak in the themeing. Here’s some of it from when I went with my cousins.
We show our UEs at the ride entrance, even though we really didn’t need them but we used them anyway and were soon boarding our boat. This ride is pretty loud and I guess the closest I can describe it is like Dinosaur, but without the jerkiness. But the ride does take a pic of you and of course being the Focker that I am I decided to once again represent & was able to redneck the pic:
There’s a nice restaurant here and I asked everyone if they were hungry, but they weren’t. I was thirsty though and there’s an awesome little bar in this area called the Watering Hole hidden in a corner so we hit that up and had ourselves some nice frozen alcoholic girly drinks. Yummmm!!!!
After our little rest stop we continued to the next area called the Lost Continent. More excellent themeing here too. Some pics from the cousins trip:
There’s a little roller coaster here (think the level of maybe Barnstormer) here called The Flying Unicorn, but we didn’t ride it. Ok, moving on. We had another roller coaster to conquer. We were headed to my favorite ride in IoA, Dueling Dragons.
Ok here’s how this ride works, it’s two roller coasters as one. There’s two sides, Fire & Ice and you choose which line to ride in. Then both sides take off side by side, but split only to meet up again at different points throughout the ride, it’s awesome. Usually there’s a little competition between the sides, but they both pretty much end together too. Oh and the queue for this ride is one of the best I’ve ever seen (but I've never taken pics of it

).
Of course we had our UE’s so zipped right through it, even though once again there really wasn’t a line. So we ride Fire first and as soon as we get off, we take a shortcut to get back in line to ride Ice. Both absolutely awesome!
Yani was waiting for us at the gift shop across the ride entrance and we browsed the shops. There’s a CS restaurant here and a bar; we ate here in April, but the food wasn’t too impressive.
We continued through the Lost Continent browsing some shops since there are many and were just in time for a showing at Poseidon's Fury.
Unfortunately this attraction didn’t have UE so we had to wait about 15-20 minutes. It’s a really inventive show, but not something to do every time, but the ending is really really neat. I won’t ruin it for those who’ve never gone, but if you’ve been on it you know what I’m talking about.
After the show we were done with the Lost Continent and proceeded into Seussland. Unfortunately there’s not much for us to ride and the only ride we were willing to ride had a super long wait time, the crowds all seemed to be here. Here are some pics of the area though:
My cousins and I met these guys
With that we finished up IoA and had plenty of time as we headed on over to Universal.
