The Year of Disney Trips: ***Update!!!! 8/20/08****

I sat on the bed to check out the pictures I had just taken of the room when I hear a PLOP, PLOP, PLOP sound. I couldn’t figure out where the noise was coming from and start looking around the room and then I feel a water drop on my arm.

What the heck?

I look up and see this:

OMG! I look down at the corner of the bed where I had just been sitting and I see the water PLOP onto the bedspread and sure enough it was soaked. Good thing I didn’t actually sit on that area.

I called Yani and told her to not unload anything else from the car because we had to switch rooms.

I called the front desk and told them the situation and they told me they’d handle it. So when Yani and James got back with loaded the car back up with the stuff we had brought down and headed back to the front desk. I tried my hardest to get an upgrade for our inconvenience , but the CMs at ASMo were not playing along. So they got us a new room and issued us new cards in the same area, but the other building and this time on the third floor. So we drive back to our new room:

Which looks exactly the same as the old one minus the leakage. We did a thorough inspection before actually unloading all our stuff and once it was cleared we were ready to go.

Where did we go?

Why did Yani have to go to the gift shop?

What’s my added plan to the itinerary?

Ewwww, on the water leak and the soaked bed but I guess it could have been worse. I was expecting you to have found some gross personal item left in the bed or something like that. I read a report, maybe Fauntleroy's where they found somebody's foot scrubber in the bed.

Although that did pass briefly through my head when I posted last night. I hope everything is well @ POR, but the room will be thoroughly inspected before settling in.

Well Janet was correct (sorry DM), we were headed to a water park!

It was early when we arrived and it was about 10:30-11 a.m. after settling in and James wanted to go to one of the water parks, so I decided Yani and I should tag along with him. The only thing is, Yani forgot her bathing suit so she had gone to the gift shop to buy one.

So since we had visited TL in April we thought it only logical to visit BB this time around.

The weather was perfect and we were soon on our way:

Our first stop, Summit Plummet:

I failed to find, let alone ride Crushin’ Gusher or whatever it’s called at TL, but I was definitely going to try out Summit Plummet. Yani was so not trying this one, so James and I made our way over to the ski lifts and were transported to the top of the mountain.

Then we climbed the stairs and waited to plummet.

I was a little nervous because it’s really high up and it looks like a literal vertical drop.

James went first and then I went.

OMG!!!!

I didn’t even have time to scream that’s how fast I zipped down that thing!

It was so fun and scary and fun, but once was enough for me.

I made sure my bathing suit was back in place and as soon as I stood up I had a severely sore bum. I guess the speed of sliding was too much and I bumped along in some areas.

We continued touring and got on some more slides. The lines weren’t too bad and I think we were able to do mostly all of them with the exception of like 1 or 2 slides. There were a lot of British people at BB that day too. Jo do you guys not have water parks in London?

We decided to end the day by going on Teamboat Springs. It was really nice and relaxing and fun. Here’s our Photopass pic:

After TS we headed on over to Cross Country Creek and just bobbed our way down as close to the main entrance as possible.

We were all hungry and stopped by Avalunch to see if there was anything there we might like to eat, but the line was super long and nothing looked very appetizing so we decided to grab food at the resort instead.

We got our stuff out of the lockers and headed back to eat, rest and get ready to party.

I never did Summit Plummet nor will I. My bro did it and he said it really wasn't fun. It hurt him. No thanks. I love Teamboat Springs!!!!!

never been there and really have no desire for the water parks.
Biff did till I told him it was an extra park admission, I knew Mr. cheapo wouldn't go for it then.

Ack! At least the "wet spot" was water and not something else! I would have been all kinds of grossed out!

The water park looks like so much fun - I'm thinking of putting it back on the itinerary for August now.

Hmmm....a leaky ceiling is not too good! At least you discovered it before you climbed into bed for the night! Sounds like the room change was painless. Too bad they didn't go for the upgrade though!

You are so brave Z, the reason I don't like tube slides is because of all the bumps where the pieces are joined together!

With our weather? What do you think We have a place called Center Parcs which is a holiday village they have an indoor water park but it is nothing compared to BB or TL, our pools also tend to have a slide or 2 but not much! Why do you think we spend so much time at the water parks
