slo’s MONDAY 9/15 poll - Matching Bathroom Towels

My DD22 was in town this past weekend with her very pleasant BF, and when it came time for him to take a shower, I chuckled to myself that the bathroom is lavender & purple and the bath towels are blue. The bath towels are not displayed, they are kept in a linen closet. At one time, this bathroom was blue, but that was a long time ago. I have no bath towels that match the bathroom, and I just don’t care - they are blue and one random yellow one (I have no idea where that came from - LOL!). I know many people would never ever have nonmatching towels. I probably should buy a couple purple towels for when a guest is here, but I never think about it until it’s too late - LOL! So, I’m curious today, if I’m the only one with a mishmash of towels. So, let’s talk bath towels today……

Do your bath towels match your bathroom?
If yes….do all the towels match, or just certain ones?

For Me…..The purple bathroom, that I mentioned above, does have matching hand towels only. The master bathroom has no matching towels and I’m ok with that. The Mickey Mouse bathroom does have matching hand towels only.

Matching always - it’s not so much that they match the color of the room but they go with the room my towels are color coordinated for the bathroom for each bathroom and the hand towels are coordinated to go with the rooms too And they’re only swapped out for holidays the bath towels remain the same but the hand towels are swapped out for holidays And the rugs must match too Lucky for me most of my bathrooms are painted in the same color schemes so all the towels will work with all the bathrooms And all the rugs work too So I have about three colors I can use and all the bathrooms

Our house has two bathrooms. One is the main bathroom with mismatched towels. The other is a small bathroom that was remodeled when the kitchen was remodeled. That bathroom has matching towels.

Ours don't match. I like a thinner bath sheet, DH likes thicker, normal-sized bath towels. Our towels are pretty much a mish-mash of what we've purchased, liked, and kept over the years. The ones we don't like, or that wear out, end up at the local animal shelters.

The towels in DD's bathroom, which is the main bathroom, are mostly character towels. DD is almost 32 so this is a me-thing. I am not quite ready to part with my friends Mulan, Belle, Pooh, etc.! I keep the towels in a closet, so it's not so my immaturity is not so obviously in-your-face!

Both my bathrooms have matching hand towels and holiday hand towels but our bath towels are all the same but don’t match either bathroom. I also use one of those super absorbent hair towels and that matches nothing.

Mine are a big mish mash. I care about condition, not color. The ones I use most for myself are very old, but since I color my hair I don’t care. I would not give these towels to guests to use. They are either beige or turquoise. The ones we bought when we moved into this house are either pink, blue, or ivory. They are in much better shape since they are newer, so that is what guests use. Our bathrooms are all white with white tile and white vanities, so at least I don’t have to worry about a color clash. The bathroom throw rugs are pink in one bathroom and beige in the other.

Don't much care if the towels match. That said I did just buy three matching hand towels at JCP to go with the bath sheets I had purchased during a previous sale.

Most of my towels are blue, they used to match a bathroom, then we moved. The towels are still good, and the don’t match our current bathrooms.

Our towels, washcloths & hand towels are all the same color, but I didn't buy them to match the paint color/decor in the bathrooms. I just like all the towels to be the same color
Now the dogs, they get leftover/old/hand me down towels and those don't match! Luckily they've never had a problem with that!

All walls are tan, so everything matches, because all colors go with tan.

Not quite sure how to vote based on the choices. Each of our bathrooms has a set of matching hand towels and bath towels on the towel bars/hooks. Grey in the main bath, yellow and purple in the ensuite. For actual daily use we take a towel and washcloth out of the linen closet and over the years they are a great variety of mismatches.

All the towels match. We use the position on the towel racks to know whose is whose.

No routine matching towels. Marie has different holiday ones for throughout the year that she puts on a towel bar. They are not bath towels but rather the smaller hand towels I guess. Nobody uses them, they are decoration I think.

Daily bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths do not match. I only know that 3 big white hotel-like bath towels are mine.

And I have no say on towels, except for my 3.

Okay, so yes, I have matching towel sets (bath, hand, washcloth) for each of the three bathrooms. But they're only for when we have guests over. We got rid of a LOT of towels when we moved. Our bathrooms are pretty neutral. I guess they're more matching the guest bedrooms that the guests would be staying in, than matching the bathroom.

We do have two sets of teal green towels that don't match our current bedrooms, but they're nearly new, so we use them as extra if needed.

Each bathroom has matching color towels to the bathroom that hang for looks or hand drying. None of these are for showering.

For showering the entire house has one color of towels ~ white. Totally interchangeable throughout the house. Easy to wash and whiten. They are in cabinets or stored rolled in rack by shower.

I have one hanging hand-towel. It's beige so I guess it matches anything, but it doesn't much matter. All of my actual towels are white. Someone gave them to me. I am not picky about such matters.
