Good Morning YaYa's!!!!!

WELCOME HOME JENNIFER!!!!!! We missed you!!!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!!! What happened though that made it only almost perfect??? Nothing really bad I hope.

Would someone consider being my diet buddy? I really need to lose weight before our trip in July. I have about 40 pounds to lose and 21 weeks. Thats a pretty safe weight loss of two pounds a week so it is doable. I would be happy if I even got close to goal. Im just terrible about sticking to diets and exercising.

Well off for more coffee to wake up.

Karen, I am probably a terrible person to be a weightloss buddy because, well I just am. Actually I am not working on losing weight until after I see my doctor Tuesday. Plus I think you look fine just the way you are. If no one here can be a buddy, try that WISH board. Some seem to be very supporting there

Hi Karen, I'll be your diet buddy if you need one. Haven't weighed myself yet today, but as of yesterday I lost 7 lbs. Hopefully with the treadmill now up and running I will do better. But hey, I'll take the 7 lbs (no, no, not take, get rid of!) Jodie gave me some really sound advice, so I'm sure she will help. And Sherry too! And Sketti! And Beth! And GP! There's lots of us here for support. And Bonnie got a treadmill too!

Ahhh, like you said Pam, kindred spirits we are. If I had a daughter I would do the same thing, and I would be in the house laughing my butt off as I did it!

DH is going to his brothers house to "jam" today (DH as you know plays guitar and his brother plays drums). I get to do laundry, cook my broccoli, work on my project for a little while and go "walking" (I told DH last night "I'm going for a walk", and he said "You're not going out for a walk in the cold this late at night!", and I told him "no, I going for a walk upstairs!")

Cool, Shep and the family are coming to the meet! More great people for me to meet in July!

I don't think I can swing the YaYa meet. It's deadline crunch week, plus DS leaves for 14 days to New Mexico on July 29th and I don't want to leave his last week at home. (Yes, I admit it - he's my baby!! )

Jodie I do lurk on the wish board but they seem to be certain diet oriented like WW or Atkins. I just want to do my own thing. I dont do well with structured diets like atkins...which made me very ill when I tried it....and I dont have time for the meetings that go along with WW. I think I will stick with you all here. I dont want to get bogged down in the word diet. I want more of a lifestyle change so that I dont gain the weight back again once I lose it. I think losing weight will help a LOT of things especially my stomach. The extra weight I carry is not good for the reflux I have. I would also love to look GREAT for our 20th anniversary trip.

WOW! Nutsy thanks for all the eye candy. Hubba hubba. Although, I am old enough to be the mother of some of them, but...

Last night was HORRIBLE. I was up with my boss literally all night, rebuilding corrupt files. The last patch/fix started running at 5:30. She sent me to bed then, but of course DS was up at 7. I stayed in bed til 8-ish, but to no avail. I think tonight will be an EARLY one!

Off to forage for some brekkie. And coffee, must..have..coffee..

Ok, so DH is off the hook a little. Seems he has been saving up for this repair and neglected to tell me that as well. So he handed me most of the money this morning for the repair. I only have to come up with about another $75, much easier!

Woo Hoo!!! Sounds like we are going to have a great time at this meet!

Bonnie runs across the screen, flings the coffee away, and brings Deb one of those nice cozy comforters from one of those Heavenly Beds, tucks her in, and sings her a lullabye....

I could always bring my laptop to the meet. I can't say that I have any dial up access but if someone has out of town numbers through their access I could use that on my laptop After all, this is part of the reason why I bought a laptop... so I could travel with my computer
