Sherry.....lots of PD for your nephew. There's been three infants here in NC that died from the flu....so it's great that the doctor made sure he was checked out further.

The movie was WONDEFUL!! Can't wait to see it again with DH.
There was a lack of a certain elf but SO good just the same.
It was sad to see it end.

Thanks for the prayers & PD. My nephew does have the flu. They are keeping him in the hospital until he can eat. He refuses to eat anything. He's only 19 mos. so you can imagine how hard it would be to make him eat.

DS's concert was so cute. Started snowing on the way there. It was super cold too. Brrrr!

Fast recovery PD for your nephew, Sherry. It is so hard when they are that young and don't understand what's going on.

I have an early day tomorrow, so I might not make it here until evening (my evening ).
Going downtown Seattle with a friend to look at all the store decorations, etc.....and NOT have to do any shopping ourselves. It is so much fun that way.....well, except for the traffic getting there and back

DH just finished the jewelry box, so thought I would share some pictures. They don't do it justice though. It is beautiful!
The other one is the same except it has red lining (which we decided we like better).

the top....looks so nice!

Opened up...there is another drawer on the bottom that has bigger sections...and there is a secret compartment too The section to the right is the ring holder (you just can't see the lines very well).
Can't wait for DD to get it!

Nancy your dh did a grat job on that jewelry box. It is beautiful. on the countdown here--only today and tomorrow left for school. I will so glad for the break. It will be heaven to sleep in a hour or 2 longer in the morning. A little break from spending 20 minutes trying to get my oldest out of bed. He is a bear in the am--do not speak to him or even look at him
Thanks everyone for the cards. I went to the house that we are now paying for but not living in yet and checked the mailbox. Had many cards in there and a neat deck of playing cards.

Mornin' YaYas!--Busy night last night here. Room painting was done, so it was rug cleaning (DH) and then move the 2 desks and all the "trimmings" in. Reconnected 'puters and went to sleep very tired.

SIL in town tonight fr Fla. I don't know how she will keep warm. It is very cold here. At least we didn't get as much snow this time as others.

Okay...no one to copy and paste their catchup so I have to do my own!!

Prayers and pd to all who have the flu, sinus infections, and the general blahs of the season (or to those who know folks that are described above)

The jewlery box is gorgeous!! Congrats on the job project. Glad the tree is decorated. Woo hoo snow for those who want it. Boo hiss for those who don't.

Glad folks are getting christmas cards, just open your mail box and imagine a really cute card signed: Tara. I'm doing virtual cards this year.

Life here is good. Woke up this morning nice and early so I could get the Krispy Kreme doughnuts for my Special Ed. dept. meeting. Meeting was at 8am, mom wrapped the present to exchange (a stealing christmas exchange). I bought an extra dozen chocolate glazed doughnuts for Jarrod's class. So I fly to his school, throw him and the doughnuts in the classroom. Back into the car to see the little gas light on, fly to the gas station to fill up and get some cash for the drink machine today. Arrive at school, see another sped. teacher and say, "please tell me the meeting is at 815 and not 800!" She says, "What meeting?" I respond, "You know the sped. xmas party!" To which she so eloquently replies, "You idiot that was yesterday...you apparently missed it!" Oh damn do I feel stupid now. Here I am with 2 dozen doughnuts, a set of wrapped candles and no place to go. So I leave the gift in the car and take the food to my classroom, where I can't get in b/c there are 4 of us to one room and only 2 keys. I am not one with a key...so I must wait and feel really stupid for missing the party by a full day! (Hope everyone can find the humor in this that I did...It is really funny..now!)

Supposed to snow here tonight and tomorrow. But they are always promising us things that don't happen, so I'll wait to see if we actually get it or not.

Okay, Matilda says she needs another doughnut, don't want them to go to waste. More later!

We looked all over for boxes and couldn't find any that were made well AND in price range.....so we made them! (like that we? ).
Now to get him to make something for me
Been waiting on my DVD holders for over 2 years!
