Lily, yes I did get tickets to see Clay! Luis got me about 30 rows back on the floor! He done good considering there was no presale at all (that anyone knew about at least) There are still tickets available but only in the upper sections... for $32 it would be worth it no matter what though.

My current one is now not only giving me battery trouble (although I have two batteries now so that helps) but it is freezing all the time... crappy phone! I am up to 109 pages - but I am sooooo burned out...... and I still have a HUGE bin of photos to get done!!

Good morning all. When I wake up the morning after physical therapy, I think of your Liz and your next surgery. I don't envy you, but am praying for great results. You have been a great source of strength for me during the past 10 weeks.

Hmmm. 10 weeks. Maybe that's why my ankle is aching this morning. It was almost exactly 10 weeks ago this instant that I fell on a patch of ice. And today it's going to be nearly 90 degrees outside. What a difference a couple of months makes.

I'm off to see my surgeon this afternoon. One last (???) xray of my ankle and leg. And perhaps finally the permission to dump the crutches and the aircast (aka storm trooper boot). And permission to drive and to return to work. And official permission to drive (so Sue will stop yelling at me for driving for the past 10 days).

John, I do hope that all goes well with your surgeon today. I can't imagine waht the last few months might have been like for you.

Todd, the Clay tickets are for August 11th. It's a Weds night at 7 PM. I will be busy with concerts just about then too (okay only two but two great repeats!!!) I think with all the fees and everything it was $32.50 total. Not bad and Fair admission is included too with that!

Good morning all! Busy day here yesterday and just never found time to come play. Had high hopes when I got home from choir last night only to find the cable was out again!! Too tired to try to mess with all the cords and plugs to use the dial-up and it's still out this morning. Wonder what it is we are paying for?!

Glad to hear Ethan has settled back down a bit, Tara. Hope the next couple of months are not too bad on you with the heat and all. When is graduation, now?

Pam, I to the scrapbook master!! You are positively amazing to have done so much so quickly!! I think I might be burned out by 109 pages, too, though. Stinks about DDs graduation being moved and the announcements now being wrong. At least it's wrong for everybody in the senior class!!

Heard about AI on the radio this morning. Apparently the wrong person got voted off? What a load of **apola--just reinforces my decision not to watch.

Sorry about your fence troubles, Todd, but can totally relate! Went to put up a fence around the backyard and found that the yard was made up of "clean fill". We ran into chunks of concrete in addition to rocks!! What a pain.

Nancy, your pix are wonderful!!! DD is just beautiful and looks adorable with her braids! I bet you two are often mistaken for sisters, too!

John, hope your visit with the doc goes well and you are finally set free!! I am sure this has been a long and frustrating ordeal for you. Just don't push yourself so hard that you end up with a set back.

Thanks to all for the well wished with my mom and my surgery! I got my mom's ticket all squared away yesterday and they only charged me $20 to change it! So, if anyone needs to fly with an airline that is cooperative....USA3000 would be my choice! My dad says that he wished they flew all aover becasue he jsut loved flying with them. And though this flight mess up happend somewhere on our side of things, they were happy to change my mom's flight witht he differance of the flight and not the changing fee! Thanks USA3000!!

So, my mom will be in tonight! We go to O'Hare to pick her up at 11 pm Greg said he would go get her so I cold get some rest, but there is no way I am going to sleep tonight...so we will both go and get her.

Surgery is scheduled and confirmed for 7:30 am tomorrow. Should be about 2-3 hours! No general, only a nerve block and however much sedation I would like!!! Well of course I will be VERY sedated!!! I think that we would all agree I NEED to be sedated!! Anyway, I will give Beth's cell phone a call when it is all done and over with.....and Beth if you don't mind....could you let everyone know that I am just fine and ginger peachy when you get a chance? Thanks!!

John, good luck with your appointment today! Wishing you the best in getting your driving priveledges back and no air cast or crutches! In the past I have ALWAYS driven with my cast or my cam boot or what we lovingly refer to as roboboot! It has NEVER been said that I clould not drive! Well this doctor seems to think very differant than all of my other doctors....and no driving for me for the next 10 -12 weeks!!!
I am not sure I can take that kind of torture!!! I may have to sneak on the driving thing too!!! Sounds like you are healing up nicely!! Glad to hear it!!! Thanks again for the well wishes and knowing exactly how I am going to feel!!! Somehow it is comforting to know that someone has walked in your shoes at one point and time regardless of how uncomforatable they might be!! Thanks again!!

Todd, thanks for the giggle! Mom will be here tonight...we pick her up at 11 pm....and she leaves at 5 pm on Sunday the 30th...so I am thinking since O'Hare is such a big airport we should have her there at least 3 days before her flight leaves.... Oh this is gonna be a long two weeks and not enough drugs in the world are going to help!! I know that sounds awful, and I really do appreciate her help.....but sometimes the help is more trouble than it is worth...does that make any sense? I am so glad her and Greg get a long so well!! Pam, you are a scrapping fool!! Only 109 pages.....ONLY 109!! I don't think I have done 109 in my entire life!!!! Actually your little scrappin madness reminds me of when me and my sister scrapped a scrapbook for my Grandma's 90th birthday party! We went to the party during the day which was 3 hours away from my house. All of the counsins, aunt, uncles, and anybody you could imagine was there...so we had cameras of pleanty! My sister took a bunch of picks...like 6 or 7 rolls and I had 4 and we got home and had tehm developed in an hour! My sister had to leave for Florida in the morning so we scrapped all night! It was so much fun to do that with my sister!!! We had a great time and my grandma cried when she got her scapbook! No we weren't all elaborate, because we didn't have the time....but we did what we could with the time we had.....and it was embellished appropriately....and well loved. It has all of my grandmas living siblings, kids, grandkids and great grandkids in there! My aunt also told me when grandma is not around....Kim and I get the book back! I think it is so neat to have that book with everybody in it! There are also some great 4 and 5 generation pictures too!! What a treasure your daughter is going to have!!! Let us know the tally when it is all said and done!!! Good luck on getting that done with "minimal" burnout!! She is going ot be so surprized!!
