Yeah the weekend is half over! I am very happy about that!
Busy, busy, busy as usual! So much to do in so lilttle time. Sounds like there are some nice Mother's Day Plans out there. I still think Beth, Lainey, Suzanne and Karen have the best idea though...Have a great day to all the Mom's, soon to be moms, wanna be moms, yaya sisters and Todd! Not much new since last I wrote, so I will just say hello. Hey Nancy....if I send you oats.......

I have too many!! I put the 9 pounds I got yesterday away and saw that I have another 9 pound box there too.
I think I need to hint that I need something else next time.

Well, the morning dawned bright and but it has clouded over and started precipitating Oh well, keeps the grass green!

Yes, Nancy, I got all packed on Sunday--except for last minute toiletries and my jammies which are in the washer as we "speak" Your cookie recipe sounded positively delish so I printed it out immediately! Will have to try them soon!! 9 lbs. of oatmeal??!!!!

Amanda, I'm so sorry you won't be joining us at WDW this weekend I thought it was a great idea!! But I understand about not leaving the girls---I would have a hard time with that too. Good luck with setting up all those meetings and with your interview! I've done that before--no knowing for sure if it was something I wanted, so I decided to just let it be decided for me.

Tara, nursing on the go is sooooo convenient! When I had my son (25 years ago!!!) I had a Gerry pack that had a nursing bib and all. My MIL came to visit and when we went out to dinner, ALL of us were able to eat at once!! LOL!!!! She was scandalized, of course!

Rose Mary! Hope today is better for you with that computer system! Oh, the joys of having a 12 year old DS and the need for a summer overseer (NOT a babysitter!!). I feel for you, my dear. Been there, done that and DON'T wanna go back!!

Yippeee!!! Sherry has a day to herself!!! Enjoy every last minute of it!! And if you manage to get to the pin meet this weekend, please give Lily and TC hugs from me!

Laine, I can't believe you aren't packed yet! PLEASE don't forget clean undies!! Are Lito and Larissa coming along? I told Dizzy and Buzzy that they have to stay home this trip, but that I would bring home presents for each of them. I was thinking that some of the Mr. PotatoHead accessories would be perfect!

Suzanne, you're right.......normally I don't like ducks. Had to make an exception in this case How can you NOT love that cute little yellow fuzzball??!! Looking forward to seeing you at WDW--can I commission you to mail some postcards for me AFTER I leave?! It's a surprise for some little princesses I know who will be making the trip the end of May!

Morning, almost afternoon, everyone!

I have to get off of here in a few, the master bedroom is my project for today--what fun.

Lainey, feel free to PM your cell number...I've got Beth's. Haven't packed here, either, but the boys usually get new shirts for the trip and I haeve 5 each...the toiletry bag is always ready and the wdw backpack is right by the door. I LOVE not having to worry about film anymore!

Beth, I will be glad to do postcard mailings! I thought that we'd only stay on property 2 days, then stay in Lakeland while househunting. Ed says he wants to stay on property the whole trip. Reward for doing all the hard work of finding a house will either be Wishes or Illuminations every nights, lol!

Tara, my first encounter with the sling was the same way. Tried again with Kevin and I pretty much wore him for two years! The funny thing was that he'd work his leg out of the bottom while nursing-there I'd be, in the supermarket, nursing and shopping and that foot would be kicking up a storm!

Nancy, I can send you an overnight oatmeal recipe that calls for dried fruits in it. I bought a box of steel cut oats to make it because it sounded so good!

Rose Mary, I hope your day at work goes smoothly for you!! Poopy systems are always a pain in the neck. ALthough I admit, your comment about leaving your DS at home makes me wonder... is there a 'magic age' where this is okay to do? I was just thinking that I was babysitting in 8th grade at least... no flames, just thinking about it... you know how did I magically go from being too young to being old enough to watch other kids...

Amanda, I totally understand about the weekend... with Mother's Day it is hard for many to get away. I hope all your meetings go well and your inteview goes well too.

:thewave: Yes, this is “The Year of Vacation” for Ted and me. Our April vacation was a gift from a friend. (We are truly blessed)
We leave on the 16th for our yearly family vac. I think it is the last one that DSs will be going with us. (That is what they are saying now…who knows)
We leave on the 29th for our free trip to Cancun—staying at DVC exchange compliments of Interval International. We won this week while on the DVC Member Cruise! (We are so lucky) Actually have more this year. July and Dec. DH and I get to use up all our vac weeks in FL this year! We got APs and will put them to good use.

Kristy, hope the beach was fun!

Nancy, I’ll be thinking about ya this weekend too. You sure have some stress coming on (ILs included) Hope the return trip can be scheduled so DH can take them back. How convenient, then you can schedule in a “spa” time.

Have laundry, dishes, office work and supper facing me and then it's off to Scouts later tonight. And don't forget the Bachelor is on as well!! Tomorrow is SURVIVOR!!!! Only 2 episodes left. I would really like for Rupert to win!!!!

Went to Kohl's to look for a gift for my mom and just ended up buying her a GC for MD. She has everything she wants, so it is so hard to shop for her. MIL wants $$ so that was easy!

DH & I went to Red Robin for lunch, then stopped at a few other stores.

P-nut-hope that fire stays away from you. Miserable when it's smokey like that. Year before last when they were having all those bad fires in Fl. went to Old Towne w/my sister's and we couldn't even stay and shop is was so smokey. Luckily we've had some rain but, we have already had a couple fires.

Nancy-How do you store all those oats? Well, good thing is if you eat enough your cholesterol will be good

Went shopping for a bit after work. Couldn't find anything I liked How come there aren't any cute "regular length" pants out there? Everything cute are capris and I just don't feel right wearing those to work. Yet I don't want "dress" pants exactly.
Guess I'm just too picky!

Off to find some trouble to get into.

Their fries are yummy!!

RM......the oats are in boxes. 2 big boxes and I have them in the hall closet.

Sherry our closest RR closed down too... not even sure where I can find one again in the area. I liked them and they were always busy... I guess they just had bad management or something.

Rose Mary, I hear you on the pants... also not only do capris not feel appropriate for me at work, they also look bad on me. I have found dockers in dark colors seem to fit me better (the stretch kind look great at work... have tons of those)

Woo Hoo for Elaine! That's great news, OKW owners. Now you'll be in Fl even more so there'll be a better chance we can hook up! Oh and as for your early ? re: the "magic age" a kid is mature enough to stay home alone I'm not sure. I mean he walks home from school now and is here about 2 hrs before I get home. And he has been home for a whole day by himself. I think my big thing is that he needs to get out and be active. I don't feel comfortable leaving him home and allowing him to go out and play while I'm not here. And if he stays home and inside all day I'm afraid he will eat me out of house and home and he is already overweight. So, that's my dilemma. Oh, and I'll have to check out those stretch dockers.
I normally can't wear dockers 'cause they don't fit my big rear end right but, the stretch ones might work.

Nancy-No I didn't get the link . Was Dizzy being naughty?
