Oh boy YaYas going to the World this weekend! We leave on the 16th and DH already has his stuff set aside. I guess he is ready!

Sherry, I hope to see you this weekend. :)

Tara, I just checked on line at babydepot.com for bottle warmers. They are not too expensive. You might try to find that at a baby store near you. Great idea Elaine!

Pam, I hope DS's ankle is ok. That does hurt for sure.

Deena, I didn't reply to your PS question because I wasn't sure what some of the abbreviations meant. It took me a while to figure out. Elaine responded, then I got it. I like what she said. That being said, I think you are packing a lot into your time for sure. Hope you have fun.

Everyone else, I don't mean to be rude; I gotta go though.
Later YaYas...

Thanks for input. I like that Bottle warmer. That looks cool! I may have to invest in one. The coffee pot was my thinking too. Dave...I hadn't thought about putting it in the sink. Deena...I used the microwave some with Jarrod and we were always VERY careful to do it for a little bit at a time.

boo...hehe I didn't even realize that I had written "quick post" and then proceeded to type a book!

I'm going to go search babies r us and see what else I want!! hehehe

hi to all. I wish I was going to WDW now! I think I am just ready for a vacation. hehehe!!!!!

more later,
tara

Hi Jeannie...I love the way yoy think! You always make me giggle!!!

Sherry, hope you are having a fun filled week! Do you get the summers off from babysitting...or do you end up with more kids? You must have nerves of steel! I don't think I could handle that many kids for more than 5 minutes! You must have the patience of Job!!

Todd, where have you been hiding? Cutting grass or eating cookies or watching TV? We miss you!!! Come play with us!

OK, I am off and running!

Huggles to all!!!!

:wave2:

Hi all...

I have smooshed toe today! I think my toenail will match the lovely colors of my flip flops, lol!

Yay, other ladies are getting goodies...forgot to mentiont the cool tshirt and other stuff Nancy sent. At dinner tonight, Kevin asked if he could have some candy out of the 'yaya surprise box'. Too funny!

Tara, no microwaving...kills nutrients and creates hotspots. Coffeepot to heat water and then put the bottle in a bowl with the water. Breastmilk heats a lot quicker than formula! If you don't have a baby sling, I'd suggest one...you can nurse Ethan and walk around. If you want a nautical themed Boppy, let me know---getting rid of baby stuff here!

Liz, great job on the exchange! I think Todd got sucked into the chair in front of that HUGE TV and won't leave.

Lainey, I have a few siblings that I'd rather forget! Looks like it probably will be a Sunday night meet at Illuminations-we're going to get a later start than originally planned.

Nancy, that recipe sounded good...tart and chocolatety. Got your kleenexes ready for this weekend?

Bethie, you're gonna have a massive sugar rush when I see ya if you eat all that candy at once! Love Dizzy's tiara. Gee, I remember a certain yaya saying she didn't like ducks!!!

Boo, how's the registry coming along? Any help on other cookware needed? :)

 to all other yayas! I'll ketchup again tomorrow.

Suzanne

The cookies were excellent. Didn't need any help with testing ;)
Off to DH's work tomorrow, so I don't test anymore!!
(they sent me 9 pounds of oatmeal tonight, so guess it will be lots of cookies with oats for awhile :teeth ).

No time for kleenex at graduation.....got to man the camera!!

Yes, busy.....got to clean to get ready for company, pack and get a head start on packing for DH...we get back Sunday, he leaves for CA on Monday.....hoping that means he can take his family to the airport!! ::yes::
And then I can play all week!! I'm sure ready!

Elaine and Beth.....ya packed yet?? :hyper:

Morning all!

Yay! Rose Mary got her shirt. :bounce:

Great packages have arrived for Beth & Suzanne. :bounce:

Lily, I might just stop by for a sec to say hi on Saturday. :wave2: I'll do my best. :teeth:

Liz, I babysit summers, too. I take one week off in July and that is it. I wish I had more kids right now, but I only have the one for now.
Sorry to hear you can't make it to John's meet. :(

Pam, glad to hear your DS is OK.

Gotta run and get DS's ready for school. No boy to watch today! WOO HOO! :bounce:

Good morning everyone!!! I think I'd rather be at home in bed right now :p

Nope Liz, still not packed yet. What am I thinking? That I will get it done tonight or tomorrow night ;) Really though, I have a small bag always packed with my bath stuff so I just need to add the clothes :) That doesn't take too long though

Ouch, sorry about your toe Suzanne! I hear you on your siblings... I feel that way from time to time, but keep reminding myself that she is family. Sunday sounds good!!! Do you have my cell phone number? That way you can call whenever you get in and see where we might be :)

Nancy, good luck getting everything done this week... I hope you can take some time off after this weekend to relax :)

Enjoy your day "off" Sherry!!!

Morning all! Did Nancy make cookies? How did I miss that

Sherry-Wish you were close by. I could provide you with another
sitting job for the summer. ;) Altho', we couldn't call it that, of course. At 12 he thinks he's old enough to take care of himself  . Guess I will be passing him around to family over the summer!

:wave2: everybody! Must get busy at work. Hope the system isn't as poopy as it was yesterday

Just a quick check in.....

No trip for me this weekend, to hard to be away from my girls on Mother's Day! Todd and I will hopefully go biking with the girls Saturday morning and to dinner with some of my siblings in the afternoon. Sunday is breakfast with IL's, church, cemetary, time with Dad, the off to visit IL's for a while more.

Have too many meetings to set up and an interview (same company), which I don't know if I want the job or not. Hopefully the choice will be made for me by whether or not I get offered the job.

Nancy...made Pampered Chef Celebration cookies last night, they also have oatmeal and cranberries in them...good thing they are going to my Dad's tonight, because I ate too many last night:rolleyes: This is why I try to only bake once a week.

Looking at the exchanges is giving me some ideas. Have to shop this weekend.

HI all!

Suzanne...I do have a sling, now I just have to figure out how to use it!! hehe I tried with Jarrod but I was always afraid I would drop him. I think I'm going to use it on the air plane for when he is not in the car seat (for Ethan...not Jar!) I did find three or 4 different bottle warmers online, now I need to go to the store and see which looks like it would work the best and take up less space in the suitcase. I liked the ones that had an auto shut off. That is my fear with the coffee pots...that I will forget to turn it off. don't want to be responsible for destroying a hotel!

Thanks for the pics of the exchanges. I have several things but I need some more little things and now I have some ideas!!

Trying to figure out what to do about Mother's day. Like Amanda, this is my mom's first mother's day without her mother. So we want to make it special for her. Just don't really know what to do. It doesn't help matters that next tuesday is her mother's birthday as well. my brother and I are trying to think of a nice restaurant to take her to.

Anywhoo...gonna run and look busy. I'll pop back in at lunch!

tara
