Sketty survived.

I forgot to mention the highlight of my weekend. We met one of Chris's friends and his mother for the college weekend. We had decided to let the boys, both 18, to have a room and she and I would stay in another. We thought this would be good to give them a little freedom. Well, when we got there, the are had experienced some power outages and they still had emergency guests so we couldn't get adjoining rooms. So they wanted to keep us on the same floor so they upgraded one room at no extra charge. Didn't she and I feel funny when we walked in and we saw 1 king size bed, and a two person whirlpool surrounded by mirrors and two robes. We had the honeymoom suite. We started laughing. After picking ourselves off the floor we decided that we were adults and could handle this situation. Well, it worked out perfectly because I couldn't sleep laying down and I spent most of the night in a lazyboy reclining chair because of drainage. I finally laid down around 5 in the morning.

This will be one trip that we will remember......

Elaine don't beat yourself up over eating the ice cream. It was a one time splurge. You are a Ya Ya and ice cream will not affect us.

Sherry I just finished the walking tape and I LOVE IT!!!! It is so easy (no complicted steps) to do but you FEEL the workout. There are no moves that require alot of coordination. I havent even opened the Richard Simmons Tape I bought I might just return it and get one of her other tapes.

Well, the honeymoon was wonderful. Thanks for asking. We both had winter pajammas complete with fuzzy slippers. We looked at each other and just started laughing. Of course it was the best night sleep that we have had in years. NO ONE WAS SNORING!!!!!!

Well, DD is calling me. Seems something got into her and she has cleaned her room. I haven't seen the carpet in there since last September........ Hope I don't have a heart attack...

Well, ya'll convinced me.... I found a walk in clinic and went in today. I was getting progressively worse with every passing hour. I had to suck it up and drive the 30+ min. drive...not too bad, the dr. visit took all of 15, but the wait at the pharmacy!!! Oh my gosh!!! FOREVER!!! An hour and a half later, we were still wandering the stupid store! Amazing what you decide you just have to have when you're stuck at a Walgreens waiting for your drugs. I came home with the Pilates work out video and work out bands, hair spiking stuff, (time to experiment!) Dad's Root beer cough drops, (sounded too fun, couldn't pass those up) and a Bubbles PowerPuff beanie Monster Baby just had to have. I have a strange teenage son, don't I? Dr. asked me how long I'd been sick, told her I was on my second week... she said: YOUUUUU need antibiotics!! She started to give me Phenegren/Codeine....told her I'd been taking it and it's not touching this cough, soooo I ended up with straight Phenegren and a second bottle of Hy...uh... Hyc... crud.... can't remember... liquid Vicodin anyhoo! Woah... and I thought I was loopy last night on the Codeine... this stuff is.... well.... effective! Weeeeee!!!! Soooooo... thanks for encouraging me to go in today ya'll.. I guess I really needed to...and now maybe I'll actually get some sleep. Two hours a night for 7+ days straight isn't really working for me anymore. I'm reaching that overly tired emotional stage now...not good.

Betty, I loved your Honeymoon Suite story!! ROTFL!! Too cute!!! Ya know... I've never stayed in a room like that... just once, I'd really love to!

GP, your recipe sounds absolutley wonderful!!! Could someone that dislikes bell peppers substitue with Jalapenos or pepperocinis in this recipe?

Karen had a good weekend!! I'm so glad Karen! That's really wonderful!! It's so encouraging to me to hear all of the changes that you're all making, and everyone is truly doing SO WELL at it too! That's fantastic. I haven't exercised in almost two weeks, and I feel awful! I'll be so glad to get back into my regular routine.
