The Wyndham Palms Resort & Country Club.. tell me about it..

We found an amazing rate for there, about $339 for 7 nights, so I'm thinking this is the place we will be staying. BUt just wondered a few things.. How far from Disney is it? What about sea world? Are the rooms toddler friendly? Are the rooms nice? What about the pool? Good or bad things about this place would be appreciated!! We've narrowed our choices down to just a couple and this one is in the lead, but want to make sure it's great before we go ahead and book!!!

edited to add: are there any decent but cheap resturaunts nearby there? Just tell me whatever you can about the location.. LOL

There was a very comprehensive thread on it if you do a search. I loved it. I liked it so much I was considering buying, but I decided to go with dvc instead. It's very close to disney about 1 mile from the mk exit and about 20 minutes away fron universal. There are zero entry depth pools, but we never got to use it b/c we on the go all the time. They're adding on and building more to it, but we never heard any construction even tho it was going on right across the street. We got the 2 bedroom dedicated and it was huge. I loved having two bathrooms and the ease of putting dd to bed while we had some along time. It's right off of a main road so there are plenty of places to eat, but avoid the Ponderosa!! Blech!!!!

Where did you get that rate and when are you going? The best rate I could get was 599.00 for a 2 bedroom in October.

That particular price was for Sept or Oct (various weeks to choose from) and we are active duty military, we got it through a military only travel network.

Ooops, edited to add: there were also various prices for the days we are looking, but for a 2 bedroom before taxes it would be less than 400 for the week.

Thanks for letting me know. We do not qualify for that rate but I'm glad that they offering it to military personel. I hope you enjoy your trip!
