Oy.... no less than 10 crashes today, with almost all of them while flying. I had really hoped to play tonight but the crashes outweighed any fun I might have had.... We were supposed to do a guild run of Kara tomorrow night - just for the achievement - but I can't see it happening if it stays this buggy.

There were some funny ones today. One of those obxious earthquakes hit Ironforge and crashed the whole world server.

In ICC, the raid leader threw up a ready check and clicking yes booted about half of us out of the game.

Rotface disappeared into nowhere we we had him down to about 5% on our first attempt, so we had to take a second go at him.

And then when I tried to respond to something in guild chat it told me that I wasn't in a guild.

Here's hoping tomorrow will be more stable!

I logged in last night to discover that three or four alts were gone.

I suppose, if I played them more often, I could say more than "Huh, I wonder where the pally and rogue went."

If you put your plan on hold, after a certain amount of time, anything under level 10 gets automatically deleted.

I am disappointed with the way Hunters are now. I used to have a blast playing mine but now it's a huge bore-fest. I hate spamming SS for focus, my cat no longer holds aggro and no disengage until 78 really can put the hurts to you. I am really sorry I paid for my 6 months because I think I am really done with it.

That's not it. My account has been active (but I have only been logging in for quick checks a couple times a month), and these were something like lvl 17 and 24 (give or take). Nothing I couldn't redo in an afternoon or two, really. It's been some time since I melded with WoW anyway - might be a good excuse.

(Okay, DW probably won't buy the "But honey, I need to get this rogue up to lvl 20 tonight!" to avoid anything on the Honey-do list. )

ETA - They're back, as of a couple minutes ago. Might delete a couple of the alts anyway.

IMO, the game is better without as much balance, especially on a role playing server. Granted, this is a FRPG, but I bet some people don't mind being a little less powerful. I do all kinds of things to make my character different, including not following the "perfect spec".

I know it is silly, but I do it to be different than everybody else.

If anybody else is having major issues with the game crashing, I may now have your answer... update your video card drivers. I kept getting error message #132 and I clicked the help button in the game... the red "?"... and I typed in "crashing"... and they gave me the info I need to go to Blizzard's support site.... I typed in the ID SOLUTION number, and found out that it was most likely a driver issue.

So, I installed a new driver, and was able to play for 2 hours with only one crash, whereas earlier today I was crashing every few minutes - literally.

But here is another bad part of the patch. I am the top officer in my guild. So, when I try to talk in guild chat, a message comes up saying that I am not in a guild, though the guild tab show that I am in the guild. So, I can't chat in guild chat right now.

Finally, I think I am starting to understand Holy Power, which is critical for pallies... but I think it isn't working right. My one spell says it generates 3 holy power when I hit the NPC with a weapon... but it doesn't always happen even when I can tell the weapon hit.

Are you running an NVIDIA graphics card? They always seem to be problematic with WoW. I've had to update drivers and disable the PhysiX feature on my old one and on DH's computer, which was why this time I looked specifically for a computer with an ATI card. And for some reason, that seems to help. I haven't had issues, but I had to update the drivers again on DH's machine.

The guild chat bug seems to be an off-and-on thing. I'm getting it any time I crash or have to alt+f4 shutdown the game, which is happening a lot because of the not leaving combat glitches. When I log back in, it says I'm not in a guild. I have to exit the game normally and log back in, then I get my guild chat back.

Right now I think a lot of mechanics aren't quite working properly, and it is hard to tell how much is learning curve on the changes and how much is patch bugs. I suppose only time will tell, really. These big patches always mess things up for a while. I suppose we should be glad they're getting at least some of it out of the way now, rather than dealing with all these things and the Cata bugs at the same time.

I would definitely check your card and maybe see if you can up your ram. I was just playing for a few hours oh so sad... any how I didn't have any problems till game restart.

Nah, RAM is good... 4 gb and 1gb on my card.

Only issue I'm having is the lag in Dal. Everything else is running smoothly here. Looking forward to getting some heroics in this weekend!

So, I might stop playing now. I tried signing on today and a message came on about tools updating, and then I got some connection timeout message, and now the program won't even open.

I absolutely will not reinstall this game. In the five years I have been playing I must have reinstalled about a dozen times... not doing it again.

I have had a few buggy issues, but nothing really bad. Sounds like you are having an issue with your computer. Do you have curse client or a ton of add-ons? I would for sure try and find someone to help you figure this out. Visit the forums and ask some others for advice too.

Well I have been messing with this patch now for 4 days...The verdict? While I love some of the class changes, I hate others. I also hate how the game is not functioning as intended..

- The "cog wheel" bug. Seems anytime certain toons click on a mage portal, lock soulwell, or anything that changes to a cog wheel, the game locks HARD. I have been kicked out of no less than 5 random dungeons because of this.

- Unable to turn in quests. I have a hunter that I am working on, and I have not been able to turn in a whole group of quests. My ticket is escalated and awaiting. I have 2 other toons that are doing this as well so far.

- Getting logged off after landing from a flight path if you are tabbed out. No one sits there for those 10min flight times, we all tab out. Well if you land and are not in game, you get DC'd.

Those are the big 3 I am dealing with. I must say my Fury warrior though is kicking some SERIOUS butt right now, as is my Boomkin.

I figured it out. It is my security program - Kapersky 2010. It really hates Blizzard's downloader even though it asks for permission to allow the download. I turned Kapersky off, and the tools updated, and all was OK... then I turned Kapersky back on.

I've noticed this as well. I usually farm on Facebook during long flights and when I click to go back to WoW I'm usually dc'ed.

Overall, I'm pleased with most changes. One thing that I'm not happy about though is the major mana suckage that my ret pally is dealing with. I have to drink or eat between just about every fight now in heroics.

That one is killing us right now. We've got three people in our 10 man group that can't use the transporter in ICC without crashing. Lock summons haven't been working properly either; some party members register as invalid target for whatever reason. And forget about mage tables or health stones. Those can DC half the group.

Hopefully they get some of these things fixed quickly. The response time on tickets right now is insane, though, so I'm not expecting a whole lot.
