The Woman Report- Update 4/24 Final Thoughts p. 74

Linnie, that countdown calendar is awesome! :worship: Can you tell me how to make one like that (keeping in mind that I'm ... uh ... craft-challenged!)? :rolleyes1

I'm glad you all enjoyed the room - I'm kinda sorta a bit worried about staying at ASMo, but I'm so outnumbered it's not even funny!

Looking forward to your next update :goodvibes

I might be considered "craft-challenged" too, so maybe you can post some of your talents here????:flower3:

Linnie, I loved the latest installment. You really know how to describe your family to us. The visual of the popcorn every where was great!! I can't wait to read more popcorn::(in honor of your family) :thumbsup2!

Thank you! To be honest, I just free-hand draw things. I just looked at a picture of some of the rides and tried to copy them as best as I could. Sometimes Buzz makes fun of my pictures (in a nice way) so last fall, I got a bunch of clip art pictures off the internet and used those instead of drawing. That was really easy!

Here's an update for you:

Buzz sleeps... A LOT! ::yes::

Totally true!!

All I do is just draw things with a pencil, then go over it with a Sharpie. I use pastel chalks or the grease crayons, fill in the pictures, then rub them out with a kleenex or q-tip to get the color right. Although on this picture, I got lazy and just used markers. I used to teach so it's basically like making bulletin boards, which I loved doing!

Did you see our countdown calendar, David? Here's a link:

Craft-challenged countdown calendar

It takes no craftyness at all! All you need is a few trips to Home Depot!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

That is awesome! What comes from Home Depot though?

Great pics Linnie - the calendar looks cool :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes It was a fun one to do, but to be honest, I knew what the roller coaster was, but had no idea what the other 2 things were that I drew. Turns out that sun thing was a ferris wheel and the other thing was a crazy ride that takes you up and drops you kind of like TOT, only it's outside.

Thank you! We're definitely a quirky bunch. I was watching Biography last. They were doing a show on Gene Simmons. He said his family wasn't exactly typical. Uh, I think we could beat him on being a fairly odd bunch. My family especially-Buzz always called my family "The Addams Family." He was kind of right! Lots of nuts on my family tree!! Gotta love 'em! They keep life interesting. :thumbsup2

The best thing about my family is that some of them are so weird-they're always doing crazy stuff that makes Buzz and me look pretty normal next to them!! We're definitely not the "talk" of our families! :cool1:

The Mickey Head paint chips. I think we made three trips to grab enough for our countdown. When we did it the first time, I think I started at 60 days or something like that. Unfortunately, some of the numbers got thrown away. So, I had to start at 35 this time. Can't wait until I can put them back up again for our October Ip-Dip trip! :cool1: :cool1:

OMG I would have freaked over the spilt popcorn, only cos I'm so tight I wouldn't have wanted to waste any :rotfl:

How scary about the car trunk (getting better with your strange American words :thumbsup2) and Buzz should have been a gentleman and gotten out!!!!

Can't wait to read more as I don't really know much about DL!

Seriously, you ROCK! :worship: Do you think you could post a really close-up picture of your calendar - yep, so I can copy the formatting :lmao: Never mind Buzz making fun of your pictures - for pete's sake, he still wears the stretchy shorts!

Tight? :confused3 Don't you spend like 15 nights per year in WDW? :rotfl2:

Hi Linnie - I'm joining in the fun! I mostly lurk over on Buzz's never-ending TR. I love hearing about your family adventures! I've never been to DL so this will be an exciting new adventure for me. :goodvibes
