The WL/DCL/BCV Extravaganza! Trip Report - UPDATE 1/29 NOT FINISHING THIS

Great update!! You took some nice animal pictures! And I think you're right, all big cats ever do is sleep

EE is so so so much fun. I could ride that all day everyday! Was the Yeti working??

So excited to see what comes next!

I don't think Beverly is meant to be drank like a normal can of soda. I think it's only supposed to be something that cleanses your palette between courses. There should be a warning on it! That being said, Joe didn't think it was so bad either. :scared:

I looooove the Lion King. I saw it 3 times when it first came out in theaters. I have the soundtrack (on cassette!!! :rotfl:) and I know every song by heart. I even had a Disney magazine, I forget what it was called but it was on the smaller side and they came every month, that had JTT on the cover and the whole issue was about the Lion King! I have yet to see it on Broadway but my sister has and she loved it.

I've heard that about Beverly...they should have a warning!! I wonder how well it works on cleansing the palette. Because I'm one of those people who doesn't like to mix flavors in most instinces and I like HAVE to take a drink in between say my chicken and my potatoes. I can't go directly from one food to another...although real palette cleansers might be more of a course thing? :confused3 I don't know, I'm not really a fancy eater!

I had the lion king soundtrack cassette! But now I don't even own anything I could even play it on. Boo. :sad2: OOOHHHH JTT what a hottie! That's so funny. Did you ever see they had Lion King trading cards? Yeah they were WAY cooler than those pokemon ones and my parents had the whole set. Some were kind cool. I wish I could find it and look at it!

You got some great safari pics! And I LOVED EE too...I wish I could've just ridden it over and over. They are like drugs to me. I have some and I just need more, more, MORE!! :rotfl: I love them. The themeing was so great!!

PS...sorry for rambling, I had halloween candy for breakfast. You see, I didn't have time at home and there's a bowl of candy set out here and I just indulged a little...so I apologize, I'm just a tad hyper this morning! :rotfl:

I did what our tour guide told us to do and put the camera on a sports setting since we were moving. I was surprised by how well they turned out! :)

Yup, the Yeti was working!

I think it's meant to be between courses. I think that's what certain flavors of sorbet are used for too. I've had that served to me at weddings in between courses. A glass of water works fine for me! :rotfl:

I never saw the Lion King trading cards. My trading cards consisted of NHL players and the New Kids on the Block! :lmao:

EE is AWESOME!!!! We meant to go back and ride it again but never got around to it...

:rotfl2: No apology necessary!

You're lucky the yeti was working! All I saw was that shadow projection! Lame!! And I didn't make it back to EE either. So sad. I even had FPs for it!

Water works just fine for me too. If I had Beverly between courses, I'd need water after that anyway!

I think I had some Backstreet Boys trading cards...:lmao: Boy bands were definitely the way to go.

Wow!!! You've updated so much!! Great job :thumbsup2 WL looks absolutely gorgeous. I think we might want to try to stay there next time we go. :goodvibes I think we're "big theming" people. The more themed the resort, the better! Your breakfast sounds fantastic, and the pics are cute. YAY for practically walking on EE and for seeing lots of animals on the safari. I can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

I've heard if you like AKL, you'll like WL and vice versa. I think they were both designed by the same person so it makes sense. I fell in LOVE with WL. It's even more beautiful in person and it just really feels like you're tucked away in the woods of a national park. Until you get on the boat and see the Contemporary in the distance. ;)

Oh I LOVE big themeing too!! Or I should say extreme themeing because the "big" themeing at the value resorts doesn't impress me as much as AKL or WL or any of the other deluxes!! I need to rent points and it'll be magical! :wizard:

I lived in a log house for a good deal of my life, and I REALLY think we would love staying there because it'll feel like home :goodvibes

The only value I've been to is Pop and I love it there. That being said, it in no way compares to a deluxe resort! But really, you can't go wrong staying on Disney property!

It's just so relaxing to come back to WL after a long day in the parks. I hope you get to stay there someday!

Love the Kilamanjaro pictures, espcially the tiger ones they are so gorgeous :)

Thank you! I was happy they turned out so well.

Well folks, we're going back to the World in February. We hit a withdrawl almost immediately after we came home and decided we needed to go again. We're taking a late Valetine's Day trip 2/18-2/22. Basically a long weekend, Thursday to Monday.

I haven't even begun to think about planning it with writing this TR and having just gotten back from our Sept trip. I'm still burnt out from planning that! But I just realized they're going back to the 180 day mark for ADRs in the upcoming weeks so I need to figure that out soon!

I don't know whether to start a PTR for that trip or just inject it in here a little bit between posts. Probably the latter.

So...ADR suggestions? I think I want one in each park or at a resort close to the park. DHS is already decided because we had an ADR at Sci Fi for last time and never made it because of everything that happened prior to the trip. So we're going to make a lunch ADR there. Suggestions for the other parks/resorts?

teppan edo for epcot
le cellier (cant remember if you made it there this time or not)

I was thinking of teppan edo. Le Cellier we did this past trip. It was amazing.

What's Sanaa like? I'm not sure if I'll like the food.

great food, not too spicy, we had the tandoori chicken (gary) and shrimp (me). had the best rice pudding i've ever had in my life, coconut and vanilla rice pudding, it was DIVINE!!! i wanted more!

I'll have to look at the menu. I always end up picking out the restaurants. Joe goes along with anything but I'd like a little more input from him!
