Last Minute Booking...and got an upgrade

So I'm super excited! I booked 3 days ago to sail next week. I was browsing Costco travel, as one does, and saw this sailing at a VERY nice price plus the Costco gift card. Lots to get organized but we got the major stuff done in about 3 hours, including check in. We did get a 1:30 PAT but I thought it might be worse than that. I'm renting a car to get out to the port so I'm hoping that we can get in the terminal early when the shuttle drops us off. Would be nice to have a little time to look around...never managed that before. My DD is a crew member and is off on medical leave. She mentioned sailing someday as a guest, so when I saw this I grabbed it. I'm sooooo past due for a vacation and DD has plenty of free time right now. I think I'm more excited than she is but I guess that has more to do with my exhaustion level right now...had to cancel my spring vacation to take care of DD. Anyway, the booking was for an inside GTY and we got a lovely surprise upgrade to an ocean view and it's midship. Perfect!

I've got my magnets ready, will pack today and work for a couple more days.....then away we go!

The Magic. Would love to have done the Wish but it’s a lot of hassle for us get there. We don’t live in the USA. Typically I will only go for a 7 night cruise and a few days at WDW. This is a 5 night and I decided…I need the break (high stress job) and it just seemed that everything was in alignment to put it all together. So we will see how I feel about shorter cruises. TBH, I’m not huge on cruising in general but that might be because when we go it’s with the purpose of seeing DD doing her thing. We end up on her schedule so it’s not very relaxing. I think this time going for no other purpose will really make up my mind.
