The WL/DCL/BCV Extravaganza! Trip Report - UPDATE 1/29 NOT FINISHING THIS

I love love LOVE your pics of MNSSHP! I love all the silly pics of yourselves as you wait for the fireworks! :goodvibes Looks like you had so much fun! I was kicking myself because I didn't go on HM during the party. Thats hilarious that the cm told Joe there weren't any donuts inside! :lmao:

And these all were pretty much me when I saw our mutual friend Sonny!
:cool1::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2::banana:

Love him!!

Oh and I totally forgot about SATC2 coming out! I'm super excited for that as well!!

We have this hobby of taking goofy pictures of ourselves while we wait for fireworks/shows/parades. It kills the time! :)

Sonny rocks! :rotfl: That was the first time I had ever gone to Cosmic Ray's and I loved it! We'll definitely be in there again during our next trip.

I don't know if I'm crazy about the plot lines that have been leaked for SATC 2. :headache:

First of all, Garden Grill is family style. It's really, really yummy though!

YAY!!!!! I LOVED your MNSSHP update! :thumbsup2 Yalls shirts are too cute--and I'm sure it was way more comfortable than walking around in a huge costume. Isn't the parade the greatest?! I remember loving it so much. We'll go again when we have kids. Your room pics are so pretty! I think we'd really like staying there. And thanks for the bug ferry tip! :thumbsup2

The menu sounds yummy! Do you sit with a bunch of other people or is it just with your party?

The MNSSHP was INCREDIBLE. Definitely the best out of all the parades they do. Loved it!

You should definitely try to stay at WL! I think you would really like it. But beware the ferry! :rotfl:

Great wrap up of Day three! MNSSHP looks like it would be so much fun. :goodvibes I'm glad you had a great time. So what were some of the best costumes you saw? It had to be so warm that night. We are planning on attending though nothing is definite because the 2010 dates have not been released yet but it is traditionally offered when we are going.

Oh, btw, we have a pretty good list of dining choices solidified for our trip. We definitely have DD's birthday figured out. I have been playing around with the :surfweb:dining reservation system using April as our dates--everything I have tried for is opened! I was shocked but I do not know how many obsessive planners out there besides DISers who are ready at 180 days out to make reservations. ;)

MNSSHP definitely was a lot of fun. I would absolutely do it again. Let's see, a lot of kids were dressed up as Mario and Luigi which was super cute. We kept seeing this one couple dressed as Aladdin and Jasmine. Their costumes were so good, I'm surprised people didn't mistake them for CMs. We saw families dressed like the Incredibles, a lot of Jack Sparrows, and one little girl was Cinderella and her father was the prince. So cute! People go all out.

It was really warm that night! I think it may have almost been in the 80s!

I think you'll get everything you want. Not many people besides us know where they want to eat 6 months in advance! :rotfl2:

Goofy pics are always winners!! :thumbsup2

I loved Cosmic Ray's too!! I can't believe I didn't see Sonny when I was there!! :sad2: Lucky he forgave me and we're like bff's now!! I'll definitely catch him next time, since I want to go back too!

I didn't know they had leaked plot lines!! I've seen a couple pics...I need to go research. :surfweb:

Apparently Stanford and Anthony are getting married. :sad2: I thought they hated each other.

Today is Epcot Day! Joe's favorite park. :) And the last full day before our cruise!

We got up bright and early, grabbed a quick breakfast at Roaring Forks, and made it to Epcot shortly after opening. Eventually I will make it to every rope drop. Do you know I've never seen the MK rope drop show? :scared1: I know! A few years ago I made it to AK for opening but it was so crowded I couldn't see anything.

Anyway, we headed over to Soarin first to get a fast pass. Since we had some time to kill so we headed over to Nemo. I really don't understand why people don't like this ride. It's so cute! I love that they have the Nemo characters swimming around with real fish at the end. Brilliant! And the Seas pavillion is so much better than it used to be with the Nemo theming! I love it in there!

We walked around a bit, I'm pretty sure we went on Spaceship Earth, this being the first of our 6 (yes SIX) times on this ride. The ending cracked us up. We smiled at first but started making goofy faces as the rest of our trip progressed. I really wish we had taken pictures of the screen!

Then it was time for Soarin. This is Joe's favorite ride! We didn't have a super great seat, 2nd row and the very end. Oh well. That ride is still cool from any angle! And I love that Puddy does the video. :lmao:

After Soarin, we headed over to Journey Into Imagination. Why they couldn't just leave this ride alone, I'll never know. It's cute but I liked the Dreamfinder better. We were done with that in about 10 minutes because there's never a line! We headed over to Honey, I Shrunk the Audience but another show wasn't starting for about 20 minutes so we decided to leave it for another day.

Self pic in front of the Imagination Building fountains!

A nice CM offered to take a picture for us after seeing us try to take one of ourselves. :rotfl:

We had a 2pm Le Cellier ADR and walked around a little bit to kill some time. We headed over to Test Track and scored a fast pass for the 4:30-5:30 hour and I'm pretty sure we went on Spaceship Earth again...

DSCN0830.jpg

We also wandered into Club Cool, where Joe said he didn't think Beverly was all that bad. :scared1: We both really liked the Mexico one, the apple gives it a sparkling cider taste. It's yummy!

Finally it was time for our ADR! Orginally, I couldn't get anything for this restaurant. But I guess people cancelled and I got an ADR about a month before our trip. Thanks for the heads up, Karen! :thumbsup2

I was so excited to eat at Le Cellier because I don't think I've ever heard a bad thing about it. It was fabulous! We split the appetizer trio to share which was the Tomato Stack, Lump Crab, and Cheddar Cheese soup. Delicious! I got the Mushroom Filet Mignon and Joe got the NY Strip Steak. We both got smores for desserts. Those things are gigantic!! I definitely did not finish all of it.

After lunch we had some time to kill before our Test Track fastpasses so we walked through the innoventions buildings and went on Ellen's Universe of Energy. I love Ellen and the whole Jeopardy thing is funny but man, is this ride long! I don't know how kid's don't freak out on this ride because their attention spans aren't all that long. That killed quite a chunk of time!!!

We still had a few minutes so we strolled by Mission Space.

DSCN0833.jpg

I love the decor of this building but I don't like the ride. Spinning doesn't usually bother me but I don't feel right after riding it. Joe hates it so this is one that we skip!

Almost time for TT but not before we could kill the last 5 minutes with self pics!

Weird shot of the Innoventions building, monorail track, and SE.

There was a little bit of a line for the fastpass side so I kept myself busy.

TT is an AWESOME ride. So much fun! Why is it the only ride picture that you can scan to fastpass though? They should do this will ALL of the rides!

It was time for a little break from Epcot. I had a surprise to tell Joe, after all! I kept pestering him about walking over to Fantasia Gardens to play mini-golf so we headed out of the WS exit and over in that direction. He wanted to take the Boardwalk side to walk over but I made him take the Y&BC side. :rolleyes1

As we were walking around the Beach Club and Stormalong Bay, I asked "Do you like it here?" and he said "Yes, I've always wanted to stay here." I responded with "Good, because we're staying here after the cruise!" He was so excited! His face lit up and he kept saying "Really??" :) I guess I picked a good resort! :thumbsup2

Time for some mini-golf! We picked the "fun" course and breezed through it. It wasn't very crowded. Joe beat me, grrrr. Some of those shots are pretty difficult!

DSCN0854.jpg

On the way back over to Epcot, we took the Boardwalk side this time around. At this point in the day, I think the sun was getting to me. I had a headache and felt a little sick to my stomach. We stopped at the Swan to lounge in a hammock for a bit to see if I felt better after laying down.

Resting helped a little but didn't make me feel much better. We were supposed to meet up with some DIS cruisers at Jellyrolls but I wasn't really feeling up to it and text Karen to cancel and apologize. We ran into them on the Boardwalk right after I had sent the text. Sorry guys! We headed back through Epcot to get a bus back to WL to just hang out for the rest of the night. Bummer way to end Day 4 but I didn't want to feel sick for our cruise tomorrow!

That's right, Day 5 marks the start of 3 nights on the Disney Wonder! Can you handle it? ;)

day 5 and a 2/3 hour wait to board still to come! :rotfl:

Apparently Stanford and Anthony are getting married. :sad2: I thought they hated each other.

WHAT?! That's crazy. Is this going to be like what the movie is based around or just a small part? Because that'd be pretty annoying if ALL the movies were somehow based around a wedding! :sad2:

Anyway...why didn't I know you were surprising Joe with Beach Club? Silly me! Did he know you were going to have more days after the cruise or was it all a surprise? That's so awesome!!

I loved the whole Seas area. I just wished I could've had a longer ride in the clammobiles! I do think its super cute though! :cutie:

Isn't Test Track the best?! That's like my favorite ride in Epcot!! Soarin' is awesome too...we didn't get very good seats our first ride this trip either. That's okay though...you are right, there aren't really any bad views!!

I think that's hilarious that you went on Spaceship Earth SIX times!! :lmao: It is pretty amusing. I don't think I really paid attention to any part of it...I just wanted to see my future!! I think I will laugh the rest of my life before that ride because my mom thought my dad and I were tricking her to go on a super scary roller coaster and she didn't believe us until a CM told her it was slow and calm! :rotfl:

I think that may be a side plot of the movie. I've also heard Carrie may have a kid. And Smith is in it again too so who knows if he and Samantha will get back together. We'll find out in May I guess!

Joe knew we were staying two nights after the cruise but we had originally booked ASMo. I got a sweet TA rate on BCV and upgraded without telling him. He knew we were staying deluxe but didn't know where. He was super excited when he found out because he's always wanted to stay at one of the hotels so he could go to Stormalong Bay.

I think I have most of Spaceship Earth memorized. The best part was when she says 'this unknown Egyptian pouding reeds flat.' I knew she was describing what he was doing. Joe thought the guy's name was Pounding Reedsflat. :lmao: We just kept laughing hysterically at the video at the end because we picked different choices each time. Love that ride!

The MNSSHP was INCREDIBLE. Definitely the best out of all the parades they do. Loved it!

You should definitely try to stay at WL! I think you would really like it. But beware the ferry! :rotfl:

I went when they had the old menu, but we loved it!! I hear it's even better now. :thumbsup2 You just sit with the people in your party--It's all you can eat, but they bring you what they think your party will eat to start with. And you almost don't realize you're moving until you look up and the scenery has changed! I agree--the parade for MNSSHP is awesome! And I told Michael I'd like to try the WL, but I think we're going to stick with the AKL (at least for our next trip) because we just loved it SOOO much!

Great update!!! I really like the self-pic in front of the fountain. And woo-hoo for getting an ADR for LeCellier! :woohoo: AWW! Joe looks SOOO excited to be at the BC :yay: I love that you told him before the cruise. I'm sure it gave him something more to look forward to! :thumbsup2 Sorry you weren't feeling well, but I hope it's all better by the cruise day!

Jenny, things look great!! I'm so glad you enjoyed MNSSHP!!

I am so ready for the cruise!! You know I've been waiting for this for like a year  WOOHOO!

Yay for the cruise report!! I hope you had a great experience on it. I am hoping to convince DH to go on one in May 2011 before I start my Ph.D.

I'm glad Joe was surprised for the BCV! I thought you were going to wait until after the cruise to tell him?

Wow...I guess we will find out!! How did you like the first one? I really liked it. I saw it in theaters and thought it was hilarious because everyone started cheering when the music started!!

Okay...I wonder how I missed the surprise for Joe!! That's cool though!! I know I'd rather be at BCV than ASMo!! I'm glad you got to surprise him!! I love surprises!!

Pounding Reedsflat!!!! :rotfl: That's hilarious!! It really is a funny ride. I enjoyed it!! We probably would've gone back on, but we just got on it on the way out!! I bet you guys got some good futures!!

It sounds kind of like what they do at Hoop Dee Doo. Just drop buckets of food off at the table. Sounds good to me! :thumbsup2 I totally didn't realize it rotated until I read the description of it on the DIS. I'm really looking forward to it!

Joe was SUPER excited about BCV! He couldn't wait to get on the water slide! :rotfl:

I'm glad Joe was surprised for the BCV! I thought you were going to wait until after the cruise to tell him?

We had an awesome time on the cruise. Castaway Cay is AWESOME and well worth any Disney cruise.

I was going to wait until after the cruise but I couldn't keep it a secret anymore. :) Plus our cruise tablemates all knew and I didn't want anyone to let it slip!

Wow...I guess we will find out!! How did you like the first one? I really liked it. I saw it in theaters and thought it was hilarious because everyone started cheering when the music started!!

I loved the first movie! Charlotte cracked me up. It was a little long but I enjoyed it. I have the SATC theme from the movie as a ringtone for one of my friends!

Spaceship Earth was our 'kill some time' ride. There was never a line so if we had about 30 min to kill before a fastpass, it was like 'Let's go on Spaceship Earth!' We were so amused by it lol.

Charlottle cracked me up too! "I curse the day you were born!!" :rotfl: Not to mention Mexico...haha. It was a little long though, but I did still enjoy it!! That's awesome that you have that song as a ringtone! I may have to look into that!

I will have to keep Spaceship Earth in the back of my mind as a kill time ride!

I'm still here people! Work has been busier than usual but I promise to have an update sometime this week, most likely on Thursday. It's the cruise part and I left you all hangin!!! Just wanted to pop in and say hello and let you know I haven't forgotten about my TR!

I've been good!! Time has been flying by. I can't believe Thanksgiving is in about 2 weeks!! Are you a Twilight fan too? I'm by no means one of those obsessed people, but I do like to watch the movies and I'm excited for the one that's coming out!! So I've got that to look forward to.

And I think I changed my 2011 cruise plans to a 4 day Caribbean instead of the 7 day just because I REALLY want to go on the new ship! :rotfl: Virtual portholes and a water coaster? Yes, please!!

How have you been? Don't you just hate when you're busy at work? I mean, what are people thinking?!
