I should be at WL in 24 hrs. :cool1:

Can't wait to get back to the Lodge. We love it there. And this time we'll be with the family.
:)

What kind of coffee do the coffee makers have in the room and does Mousekeeping provide enough? I've read some resorts have good Italian coffee in the rooms but others talk of Nescafe that apparently is awful. What about the coffee in Roaring Forks for the refillable mug?

Thank!:surfweb:

We're heading down tomorrow too! At this time, we should be at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge! Woo-hoo.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thank you for the great information ladies (Amy & Beckie). Your answers were both very helpful and now I wont miss my ADR. :thumbsup2

We have to go back to the airport to pick up more folks, so we are just dropping the luggage and heading back out.

Have fun at the pool. I just love the place.

Hello everyone! I'm getting excited because I'm almost down to 6 months away from our magical Christmas trip to the WL. I'm in the process of planning our ADRs and I'm going a little nuts with all the choices.
My question for you all is about the WL Sleigh Rides. My DD saw a picture of the sleigh on this thread and saw Samantha Brown riding one on her Christmas special. She really loves horses and thinks that it will be wonderful. I'm trying to fit it into our plans somehow. Has anyone taken a sleigh ride? Is it a special experience? I keep thinking how many other things we have to see this week and finding the time to do them all. Thanks! :goodvibes

If you have a chance to do the sleigh ride I would HIGHLY recommend it!!

We did it the first year they offered it at Thankgivings time and it was a high-light of our trip. The sleigh seats 4 people. We did a later time slot so it was good and dark as we went though the woods. Very peaceful. The moon was out and bright. We packed jucie for the kids and a little something for us and had a great time. About half way thru the kids fell a sleep and we had some quite time to ourselves. Our horseman was named John and the kids saw him later in the week driving Cindy's carriage in the MVMCP parade. The kids yelled his name and he found us in the crowd and pointed to the kids, smiled and waved. That made the kids think they were hot stuff !! LOL

We also found by Disney prices that is was a really good deal, unless the prices have changed since than.

Kim

i'm so jealous of everyone going tommorrow! Maybe you can be jealous when I go in July!

I hope that everyone has a great and safe trip!

(Try not to use much gas!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Up to 4.00 a gallon here)

Thanks all! I will try posting some pictures here of our trip. If I can figure it out....you would never guess I'm a computer geek for a living:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh boy, 13 hours until we get on the plane.

since I posted a couple weeks ago with questions about this resort, I just wanted to update everyone on our recent stay. The WL is just plain AWESOME of a resort.

We were a little thrown-off the first day given we only stayed in moderates, and weren't used to having everything under one roof (used to walking to the main building and food courts). But we really grew to like the deluxe set-up were everything is under one roof, including our rooms.

Sad part is now I'm hooked on WL and will be paying more for our hotel stays from now on!!! Good thing I have an AP pass though.....

Sounds like your trip was great. Where was your room and do you have any pics?

Room was Standard View Room, but I booked on the 5th floor so we could see the MK fireworks (and we did have a very clear view). We even had a nice view of the Contemporary, so I was REAL pleased with our standard view rooms.

Not sure if i would shell out the extra $$ for courtyard since I was so happy with the Standard view.

We are staying in a standard view in December and that sounds perfect. Did you just ask for 5th floor or MK view?

Thank you so much Kim! It sounds like you had a magical time. :goodvibes

Amy

Just spoke with a Cast Member at the Mercantile they only carry purified water and drinking water. :confused3 Sorry, she suggested Garden Grocer's. Since you're shipping a package down can you just add the water to the box?

Beckie

Thanks, Beckie! DH was just diagnosed with sleep apnea and is now uses a CPAP. I was going to order bottled water from Costco but I might just bite the bullet and do Garden Grocer and get it, the distilled and a few snacks.

I just changed our ressi to the WL. We were originally booked at POR. (Which I'm sure is a wonderful resort) We thought we would try to save money due to the cost of gas. But once the WL is in your system nothing else will do. So on Nov. 30th we will be arriving back home. We can't wait!!

Just wanted to thank everyone that keeps this thread updated the information on page 1 is GREAT. Anwered all my questions.

Thank You
