wow this is very disapointing info:sad2:....hope this is not the case we we r there in a few weeks. I noticed this when we stayed in a pirate room at CBR but never had a dirty or not top notch room at AKV. hmmm kinda worried

No worries!! Brian gave you excellent advice - never live with a dirty room and as he said, management needs to know. If guests do not report dirty rooms, how can the issue be resolved?

You will have a great time!!:goodvibes

Hi WL Experts,

I am staying at the WL during my honeymoon and I have an 8:05 reservation at Crystal Palace on a day when MK opens at 9am? I read through the boat info on the first page of this thread, and it looks like it would be no problem taking the boat from WL to MK to make this reservation. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

To be on the safe side I'd take the MK bus because it runs earlier I've been on it at 7am. You can also catch the Contemporary(Blue Flag) boat and take a stroll to the MK main entrance.

I thought the boats only started running 1/2 hour before opening time.....

If you have an unclean room, ask to have it cleaned again. I had to do this at POR a while back. I stayed in the room and made sure it was cleaned to my standard.

The management needs to know when mousekeeping is not doing a good job so it can be fixed. When we don't speak up then they dont know.

I am getting excited about our trip!!!

We'll be there at the same time so I'll come over with my white glove and inspect the room for you. :rotfl:

Most likely if someone comes to clean your room at a different time, it's not your normal mousekeeper. Hopefully that helps a bit.

You could always hide your toothbrushes... :lmao:

You make me laugh Brian. Maybe our familes will run into each other. Are you staying the the villas or the lodge?

PS..I always put our toothbrushes in the safe.:laughing: Ha Ha I know. Too many years of working in an Operating Room I guess is my excuse for my madness:sad2:.

That is too funny!!! :rotfl2: I'll have to remember to suggest that in the future.

We check into the Lodge on 6/3 to 6/6.

Does anybody know if there are rooms that have a MK view at the WL that aren't directly above the delivery area? I would love to see fireworks from the room; however, my priority is a quiet room. Thanks!

We could see the top of the fireworks from our Villa room, but that would be on the other side of the Lodge. I'm sure Brian or WDWKOOK will have the answer. :thumbsup2

are there different room categorys for the Wilderness Villas? I have a 1 bedroom reserved - can I request a view and does it cost more like it does in the lodge?

I tried to answer MouseHouse's question on the CL/Concierge thread where they posted first and I suggested they also post the question here:rolleyes1

You're so right about complaining about a dirty room! I always do a quick check of everything before bringing up our luggage. If something isn't right, go back down to the front desk and address it immediately. Don't "call the front desk." Unless you're staying CL and you're actually calling the concierge on the CL floor, if you call the front desk, you're actually calling a call center elsewhere in FL.

AND don't ask for it to be cleaned - ask for a different room. Because it will take FOREVER to get someone in to clean it. I have read so many stories about what happens when the room is dirty or something is broken and how long it actually takes to get someone out there to fix/clean it. It can be a LONG drawn out process that consumes your whole vacation (or atleast that is how the people tell it) .
Just go back to the front desk - and ask for a different room.

I love this thread. My husband and I are returning to Disney World for the first time with our 3 kids in September. We will be staying at the WL, I appreciate the wealth of information provided here.

I hope you and your DH and 3 children have a wonderful stay at the WL. September should be such a great time to go with lower temps AND crowd levels:goodvibes

We were in 4034 Woods View (check the room location map). We had a castle view through an opening in the trees and could see most of the fireworks. The fireworks are to the right of the castle as you look out. This room is located directly in front of the Otter Pond. The service area is on the left side of the balcony. There's a bit of noise (like air conditioning units make) if you're sitting out there but totally quiet inside the room. The only thing that might bother you inside the room are the horns blowing from the transportation boats..... and they start EARLY.
