So I am booked for fall 2011 and very excited. I've visited VWL before but we've never stayed and this will be our first time w/ DDP, so YAY! I do have a few questions:
Rooms- Is there a curtain or anything that helps to separate the sink/vanity area (like at Coronado)?
Lodge & grounds decor: Do they put up any autumn/Halloween decorations there?

I'm also a little confused with the lodge itself. I know this is a dingy question but... are all the rooms there accessed from inside the lodge itself or are there outside corridors?

~No, there isn't a curtain or sliding doors like CSR. Here is a VWL studio vanity area photo from AllEars:

~All the Lodge rooms have interior doors, there are no exterior corridors.


~I can't answer your question about Halloween decorations because I've not stayed there at that time.

Room request question - my DD and I will be staying here in a woods view room. My DD is a very light sleeper - what would be a good area to request for a "quiet" room??

Does anyone know if they sell cocoa there (either in the store or the cafe?). I am dreaming of sitting in front of the fireplace in Feb. sipping hot cocoa (possibly spiked ). I may pack some in my suitcase, but if it is already there it is one less thing I need to take.

Yes the Cocoa is ready made and hot in the Roaring Forks.

Hey yall I still have like 5 months But I am so very excited!!! I've never stayed at WL before!!
On a side note, I have stayed at Grand Californian in DL plenty of times. This seems pretty close to that yeah?

Most woods view rooms will be quiet. I'd put "quiet area" in your request.

Most people request an inner courtyard with a higher floor. That way you have a nice view!

My husband just surprised me with the BEST birthday present!! We're leaving Friday for three nights at Wilderness Lodge AND he got us tickets to the Very Merry Christmas party. How he kept it from me for 6 weeks I'll never know!
We've never stayed at WL before so this thread has me VERY excited.
