Can anyone tell me (or point me in the direction of a layout on line) what the layout of a Honeymoon Room looks like? We are thinking about heading back late this year (we got a 40% off pin and I hear the free dining may be back soon).

How long does the boat take from VWL to MK and how long does it take to get from the Villas to the main lodge?

How long does the boat take from VWL to MK and how long does it take to get from the Villas to the main lodge?

The main lodge and VWL share a boat dock. It is located at the main lodge and is about a 3 minute walk from VWL. Walking to Roaring Fork or the front desk will take less time.
I have in my notes that the boat ride to MK is 13 min., not including wait time. That may add up to 20 more minutes.

Hi, all -- I've been mostly lurking since our December trip at WL -- which as fantastic!!!!

I've been reading this morning here on the thread about some of you trying to get your DHs to agree to an upgrade to Club Level. It's too funny, as I just started my campaign today to get my DH to do the same.

We were upgraded a couple of years ago (long story about Disney making multiple mistakes on two years worth of ressies -- but they made up for it), and I've been wanting to get there again. Soooooo, I am trying to swing it for this December. Keep your fingers crossed!

I've been reading this morning here on the thread about some of you trying to get your DHs to agree to an upgrade to Club Level. It's too funny, as I just started my campaign today to get my DH to do the same.

We were upgraded a couple of years ago (long story about Disney making multiple mistakes on two years worth of ressies -- but they made up for it), and I've been wanting to get there again. Soooooo, I am trying to swing it for this December. Keep your fingers crossed!

Good luck on convincing your dh!!! I bet the lodge is gorgeous at Christmas time! I would love to see it in person, seen many pics of it decorated but it just isn't the same!!

I am so jealous, I have to wait unitl August! So what did you end up putting as your room request? I haven't put anything on ours yet and was thinking of upper floor, or maybe upper floor and MK view.

Well, come August I will get to be jealous of you We are going to call tomorrow and request high floor, North side. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that no matter what it will all be ok!! I remember the first time we went with both the boys in 2006. We stayed at ASMovies and requested Buzz building since the boys were Buzz crazy. When we got there we got Mighty Ducks building. I literally had to walk away while dh checked in because I was ready to cry thinking that would ruin our whole trip. Well, it ended up being the best possible thing that could have happened. We were right by the pool. It was perfect. So, I keep holding onto the fact that things just have a way of working out, plus we will be in DISNEY!!! What could be better?!

Wow! WL in December!!! Isn't it AWESOME!?!?!?!!!!

Yep, getting the DH to do the CL thingie is the deal. Now, if you get the 40% off pin, that would cinch it. What I would do is, book what I want, and wait for either a pin or the public codes and the JUMP on the discount ASAP and CALL FAST to change your package/room only, whatever you've got booked and get that CL upgrade!!!!!

That's what us APs do! And I've yet to get a PIN!
JEEEZ! When I paid rack rate for a suite, they must have taken me off the list for PINS!

JordanBailey-call in your requests! Get packed and get going! I went back to fill some more Rxs today at Walgreens and got another $500 Disney giftcard. Figured I'll probably book a bounceback while I'm there.

Hi all! We're anxiously awaiting our first stay at VWL in 2 weeks! I have 2 somewhat odd questions ...

1. Do the studios at the Villas come with a toaster or a toaster oven?

2. Which shaped coffee filters should I bring for the coffee maker?

Also, does anyone have suggestions for room requests?

I am staying in a bunk bed woods view room and I am not sure what to request as I don't know which "woods view" rooms have bunks in them.

If anyone has advice that would be great!

Just wanted to share decision about no longer making room requests. We are lucky enough to go to WL three times this year and having stayed many times before both woods view and Courtyard I have yet to have a bad room. THat does not mean that others should not make a request but after many stays we have found that we like all our locations. We love walking through WL grounds and pointing up to various sections and saying remember the tripwe stayed in that room. If I had to make a request mine was 5th floor north wing woods view( castle in background with trees) but each has great memories. So if you don't get what you asked for don't worry, you can still have a great time. I will never forget time husband stressed because we did not get poly longhouse we requested(after weeks of agonizing researching etc). We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and surprise, Cinderella's castle right in front of us(garden view room). I will control my travel planning addiction and no longer stress over room requests( a roll of the dice sometimes better than I could ever ask for) SO if you don;t get what you want don;t worry you can still have a great trip.

Yes on toaster; don't really remember on coffee maker but looks like round ones! Check out my pictures on Resort Photos & Video: VWL pics? ... have a picture of the kitchen area and LOTS more! On room requests ... what type of room? Friend and I shared a Studio and requested a room close to DSA. Our location was PERFECT! Enjoy your visit. We loved it there!

here rite now and soooo dont wannna leave on friday! this place is simply breathtaking. pics do not do it justice at all. i was kinda leary coming here, wasnt my number one choice, but figured why not? walked in on the 16th and my jaw dropped. weve had an amazing almost 2 weeks here. our ta asked for a woods view i believe. our view is of the smokehouse....and part of the contemporary and monorail tracks. at nite we can see the fireworks from the mk. its amazing!

I finally got a PIN in my email today for 40% off! Wilderness Lodge here we come!!!

I'm so excited! We could even add on the QSDP or the DDP and STILL be less than what we expected to pay (with regular free dining offer that may or may not be offered....) BUT that's a whole other can of worms that I need to crunch #s on.

Anyways, Count us in!

We booked a woods view room next week- first time staying at WL and I am sooo excited!

I would really prefer a 1st floor room as I would really worry about my 2 year old and the balcony. Looking at the map it looks like the rooms in the "U" shape part have both 1st floor and woods view. Does anyone know if the rooms that open into the lobby also have a woods view and 1st floor. I just can't tell from the pictures. I didn't make a request, just wondering how the resort is set up....
