Hey everyone,

Just wanted to say I am back home. I had a wonderful trip to both Coronado Springs and Wilderness Lodge. We got room #5075 which is a Bear face room. The view was AWESOME. It was so nice to be close to the main elevators.

I would definitely love to have one again!

CSR was nice, though I did not realize how much I missed the balcony til I was at WL for the last two days. :rotfl:

In all it was a great trip. I wish I had more time to go into details, but school, work and baby call.

:-)

Brian

Welcome back! Any news about WL?

Was the geyser working?

The Geyser was not working yet. :-/ But there is a sign telling you that it is under construction, unlike my last trip where we waited and waited....

The buses stops were getting worked on and it was a real inconvenience my last day there because it was pouring down rain all day. I hope they are completed soon. They seemed to be replacing the concrete. They did have 3 separate tents set up to wait under, but walking to the bus stops put you out in the rain.

It was funny for us because we stayed at CSR and they were working on the bus stop there as well.

I did sit in the lobby one evening and watched for bats. They seems to have found a way to remove them. :cool1:

The hottub on the right (pool side) was definitely hotter than then one on the geyser side. I think that is still consistent with what they were previous to the work.

The new mugs are out as well.

Thanks Brian!!

Oh my gosh I have just spent ages reading this thread getting super excited about going back to WL!

The first page is amazing, I really enjoyed reading it and found out a few new things! Last time we were there we managed to get a Bear Face room - I so hope we can get one this time. Has anyone ever been a Flag Family?

Only 150 days to go :cool1:  :cheer2:

i was the flag family this past Feb for one morning and the next night i proposed up there during the MK fireworks

Are there showers near the pool or at the fitness center? Just wondering for check out day after the pool. Thanks!

I'm hoping the geyser is up and working for our trip. It's one of the reasons I wanted to stay at WL.

The bus stop thing sounds annoying. Good thing we're renting a car. There's always the boat ride to MK...another thing I'm looking forward to!!

DS is really looking forward to our trip now. He watched "Ellen" with me this morning, and is soooo excited about Universal. He told me we're doing ALL the parks, EVERYDAY. Gotta get out the calendar and the maps to have him break it down. I'm tired thinking about it...LOL

Oh wow! How did you manage to get up there and propose? Did you already post the story somewhere - I would love to hear it. Very romantic :)

How would we go about seeing about being flag family? My dh is a veteran and would really love to do this when we are there in May. Is that something that IPO could schedule or do we need to check with the folks when we check in?

Being a flag family was a highlight of our last trip... We went up and had an amazing view... You have to ask a check in. The only let one family up each day. You get to raise the flags, say the pledge and receive a magic moments certificate..

Can you be Flag Family if you are staying in the Villas? Also, how early does all this take place?

WOOHOO! We just arrived here last night. We drove from NJ, leaving at 330 am (straight thru) and there is no more beautiful and welcoming site to see than this resort. We stayed here once before but it is even more beautiful than I remember. We did online checkin. We had a standard room booked and I asked for north wing, upper floor. When we got to our room on the 6th floor we realized we had been upgraded to a courtyard view!!! Yeah! (This kind of thing does not happen much to me! Lol. I was so surprised!). Anyway, we grabbed a bite at Roaring Forks and brought it back to the room. Finally got to relax and now we are ready for some fun!

If you husband is a veteran, ask about the flag retreat ceremony at the Magic Kingdom. You can go to City Hall and he might be able to participate in this awesome ceremony. They lower the flag each evening and usually get a serviceman or police officer to participate.
