Linda67,Hi Everyone
I am checking in on the 14th of May and wanted to know what would be the best date to call the resort to make a friendly room request?
Also, does anyone have the phone number that I should call to do this
TIA![]()
Question for anyone who knows this resort well. When I booked, I had to go with a courtyard view room. I requested to be as far away from the pool as possible because I was worried about noise at night. Is the noise an issue? Is there anyway to see the MK fireworks from a courtyard view room?
I've seen photos of the slide where it comes out into the pool and it is an 'open' slide there. But where does the slide start? I was wondering if it was a high or low slide, any part was enclosed, etc. Thanks!
We just changed our reservation to a courtyard view, YAY!! I see that some of the woods view rooms have a closed in, standing room only balcony. We are looking for a full balcony. Are the closed in balconies only only in the woods view? How can we gty a full blacony?
We are thinking of trying this resort, but on DVC points. Are the villas really far from the lodge? Is the pool ok for a 3 year old? We normally stay at Kidani village but thinking of trying something new thing time. Any input greatly appreicated.
Linda67,
You will want the room location request to be noted in your reservation. It is never too soon to add the request, but it will need to be in your reservation no less than about 5 days prior to check-in.
The best way to do this is to call the WDTC and give them your reservation number and have them add the request. However, if you booked through an agency, the agency will need to add the request for you, I believe.
I see that you're from England, so to save you the trouble, do not call the WL. When you do call the WL, you are actually calling a call center in another part of FL and they can not amend reservations.
I looked at the UK WDW booking site and the UK guest services number for the WDTC is:
0870 24 24 900 or you can email: wdw.drc.wdtc.uk@disney.com
If you want to call the US WDTC:

Good luck!
You're welcome. I hope this works for you and you get your request. Your vacation is only about one month away! Thanks so much for your advice.
I booked this trip through a large TA in the UK but they tell me that they can't do this
I have the full Disney booking reference number so I will try calling them today
Thanks again!
Half of the 6th floor rooms are enclosed on both Woods and Courtyard View. I would request a 5th floor room if you don't want an enclosed balcony.
Yes some of it is enclosed, I have a video on my computer but I'm not sure
how I post it.
Here is a link to a You Tube video on the slide:

I'm so glad they responded and noted your request.Just to let you know I sent an email to the address you gave me and they have just sent me a lovely email saying that my request has now been noted on my reservationI know that there are no guarantees and to be honest I don't mind if we end up sleeping in the lobby!
We are just so excited to finally be staying at WL !!!!!
Hello all, I'm about a year away from our trip, and we are looking to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We stayed there about 6 years ago and now have two kids to bring with us instead of one.
I have a quick question that I'm hoping someone knows something about. My dream room would have bunk beds in it. I see from the layouts that the rooms with bunk beds also have a queen bed in it. Is there an option to have a cot in that same room to accomodate three adults and two kids?
Thanks!
Krissy
