The who's going in August thread

We'll be there August 6-8th, then onto the Wonder for 4 days, and back to WDW for 3 more days!!!

DD and DD's best friend think we are staying at the Pop Century but we are going to surprise them with the Poly and Contemporary!!!

Can't Wait!!!

We are going (I hope) August 14-24 and staying at All Star Sports. I am waiting, like everyone else, for the discount codes. I already have been quoted a great AAA rate, but I do know the better deals have to pop up sometime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will be there from August 7-19; mostly at BWV but the last 3 days at SSR -- can't wait to go "home" and also to try out the newest DVC "home"!

We'll be there from 8/25 - 8/29. We are celebrating DH's 40th B-day. There will be the 4 of us (DS's 11 & 9).

We are very excited and can't wait to go!!

I MAY BE LIVING THERE IN aUG. bUT WE went last Aug and I thought I'd pass along a tip that saved us from the heat. Cary a washcloth around and keep it damp to cool down your neck

What began as a "girls only," mom & the 3 princesses trip has evolved into a "Magical Gatherings" family trip. There will now be 10 of us; my DS and her 3 kids and my (young) aunt and her DD. Still deciding on which resort. As this is a "bonus" trip, we are going to be on a strict budget, so we are only looking at values and mods.

Going the 1st week in August. Have never been there in August, and I have a hard time dealing with heat - Am I nuts?

We'll be there Aug.10-20!!! DH,DS, and DD are staying at the Swan... may not want to leave those Heavanly Beds! I'll be celebrating my birthday while we are there, what's this I hear about a birthday pin?

As for the heat, I'll take it to the continuing pseudospring icky weather in northern Ohio!

Aug 22- 29 Poly Lagoon Concierge. Then off to the Hard Rock Hotel for 3 nights. We went last year at this time and managed with the heat . We waited for the kids on each ride in the air conditioned gift shops. And spent alot of time in the pool!

My wife's parents to be specific. We're going to show them the way to do Disney! We can't wait. DW, DD, new DS and MIL and FIL will be staying at CR 8/16- 8/26!

These boards are the only thing that help ease the withdrawl from WDW!

Going Aug.5-12, staying at CBR with friends that NEVER been to Disney. On to the Wonder Aug.12-15. Can't wait.

We're checking in August 22 to the 31st. Do the crowds thin out at all the last week of August? I'm going to be there for my 30th b-day on the 27th...I'm so excited!

We're planning to do parks in the morning, then lunch and back to the resort to nap and pool.

We've been to Disney many times but five years ago we went in the summer (August) for the first time and it was our best trip ever. Short waits and the weather that year was no hotter than we had in New York.

We're doing the land/sea cruise deal this Aug. We're arriving at the BC on Aug 15 and going on the DCL on the 19th. We were in Orlando (Universal/Seaworld vacation) the same time last year. It rained like crazy every afternoon. My fingers and toes are crossed for better weather this summer.

We'll be staying at PC 8/24-8/27 and a couple of days at Daytona Beach before that. Very very excited.

After making our first trip to Disneyland in 2003,( Vegas and the Grand Canyon) we're coming back to the our happiest vacation place. We'll be at the Swan from Aug. 12 -17. Then we are off to Key West for a bit of the beach and island fun. Our nine trips to WDW have all been in August. We simply don't "let it rain on our parade." When you work all year for a 10 day play time, NOTHING is allowed to spoil the fun. The planning keeps us going. "Getting there" is half the fun of being there. Can't wait. Hope all August travelers have fun in the magical Disney sun!
