Tonight we are going to DS/DIL for dinner. Sara is cooking roast and potatoes. I'm sure we'll have something decadent for dessert, she loves to bake and is pretty good at it.

The NFL have just announced the 49ERS will host the Broncos at Wembley in october.I had registered for tickets but i dont think I will bother.

Wendie, I apologize for not wishing you a Happy Birthday yesterday!! I was able to post one thing from my phone on FB. But then had trouble posting again. Then I was called in for my injection. The day went downhill from there. I really hope you had a good day!

I haven't read back yet, but I need to vent!

Warning vent ahead!

Totally crappy day yesterday. Had an neck injection yesterday, which by the evening caused numbness in my face & ear. Then down half of my body with pain in my arm & leg. The numbness is gone this morning. I am hoping this means they got the right spot. Also means ( to me) that my leg numbness & pain is not being caused by my back but C4-5!

Then I had a message from the nuero. I had an MRI christmas week, the asst said the dr would call me with the results. I have called back twice to get him to call. Yesterday she leaves a message, saying he wants me to come in for the results!! She could have made that appt. weeks ago but didn't!

THEN, I open the mail, and there is a letter from the pain management dr. (who's office I just left) saying that as of March they will no longer be a Blue Cross provider! BC insisted that they will cut what they pay him by 56%!!!

Buddy and I are going to get a bite out tonight. I am heading in to take a long hot bath and will probably be sorry, I won't want to go out then.

Tomorrow night Marisa adn Jeff want to go out on a date. They have not really gone out since Marisa's surgery and Jeff in particular wants to go. WHoever is driving will not have a drink, not even a glass of wine, and Marisa has not driven in months! Finally he can have his cocktail with dinner and I was not offering to keep Kady too quickly. Buddy is going to a stag and I was going to be home alone for the first time in a long long time. Kady has been a little fresh lately so I told her that she needs to keep her snippy little attutude parked out of the door if she plans on coming by. Marisa told me this morning Kady is going to be REALLY REALLY good .........................or else! I guess they really want that date night

Marilyn, I'm was shocked to hear about your Sis! I am so glad she is doing well! Did they take out the cyst or ovary? She sounds like someone who might push herself to hard. Tell her to be careful!

Maria, I'm sorry you are still feeling sick. Hopefully once you get settled in your room, being with Emily will help you feel a lot better!! I'm going to go check out that picture! Hopefully you will be checking in & keeping us updated on all the excitement!

Ellen, I'm happy for Matthew! As least this gets him back in the game. I'm praying that it goes well for him. Sorry you are having a rough time at work, sounds like you could use a trip to the winery!

Nancy, To you & Marisa! It's tough to handle those finicky eaters. I'm afraid I still cater to A with her noodles every single day! Luckily she likes easy mac doctored up, but that is usually an after school snack for her. When she's here for dinner, I make her eat what I've cooked. Although I tend to cook what I know she will eat.

Kathy, I'm sorry to hear that K will be going to summer school. I know how much you miss him. But it's good that he realizes he needs to "put the pedal to the metal" with school. Hopefully he'll get a short break between semesters & he can come home.

Oh another prayer request, something else that hit me hard yesterday. DD just told me that she is again having severe back pain! They went visit J's family about 5 hrs away last weekend. The car drive had her in such pain that J had to help her put her socks & shoes on. She sees the same dr as I do & also had an MRI the same week. She just got the "come into the office to discuss it" phone call too. She had to call back & fuss to get anti-inflammatory meds. Her appt isn't until mid-Feb! I told her if the meds don't help to call them back & make a fuss, before I go really ballistic all over them for her & myself! There is more but I'll post that on FB.

Speaking of books, I am looking for suggestions for something good. My book club is doing a swap next week, and most of the books I have read recently I have passed around the neighborhood already.

I just finished reading "Prayers for Sale" by Sandra Dallas, and I quite liked it.

I don't know honestly! I know they took pictures of it so maybe that is to take to her regular Dr and they will decide what to do from there.

She is taking it easy today, apparently milking it, her friends are bringing her food.

Well Saints fans are starting the party!! The tailgaters are slowing coming into the parking lots around my office building with their campers and trucks and setting up for some crazy fun! Tomorrow is really gonna be nuts around here!

TGIF - what a week this has been. First full week I have worked in over 6 weeks. I am pooped. We had year end reports due, statements to get out, Reporter out, Bulletins finished and Yearly Directory all but done. I wonder what I will do next week. Actually I have Monday off for MLK Jr. Birthday. And on Tuesday I have the 68 page Directory to collaite and get mailed out. Oh well thats all for another week.

It's a crazy time of year (though I am beginning to think that is year round!). Hope Matthew has a good time tonight

DH is chaperoning a midwinter retreat with the youth until Sunday so he is boarding the bus later tonight. We'll pick up fast food on the way to take him there; I thought about cooking but I'm pretty tired from the trip today. I really wanted Chick Fil A again but he already shot that down.
