Busy day but the weather is gorgeous! It's been BRR cold all week and now it's in the 70s Dh is on the golf course (of course).

That is just SO wrong!!

Off to play on Facebook for a bit

We got'er hooked gals. Good luck to Ron today. I hope he gets home in time for dinner.

Glynis- I love to travel anywhere but like you, I love to get back home. Buddy laughs becasue I always tell him that I love home!


Had a good time yesterday at cirque! Kad y said it felt like it lasted less than ten minutes, she was that mesmerized! Marisa's employer did a wonderful job there. Parking was paid, there was a nice breakfast and then face painting and balloon animals for the kids...and for adult who felt like kids ...as well as a juggler, a living statue and a snow angel. Kady loved the guy who could balance a ladder on his chin! Her employer bought the entire show so although it was crowded there was good seating for everyone.

Today I am back on track I hope. Dinner is pizza meatloaf, baked potatoe adn a string bean and carrot medley. I really don;t like frozen veggies anymore but I have them so I am using them.

Glad you had a good time yesterday. That was awesome of Marisa's boss to do for you all. I am so glad to hear things are so great for her.

I SWEAR we are twins!! I also love to be at home.

Kat ~ Are you enjoying Kyle being home?!! Matthew is home now but does have to go back for 3 finals on Wednesday and 1 on Thursday. Then he is home till the 11th. Enjoy and you know we will also!!!!

Aimee ~ on the shipping. At least you will get yours in a day. Clear out here in the boonies my shipping is a joke. I ordered a reading light for my Kindle and paid the extra shipping to get it here in 2 days - ($29.00 light & 9.99 for shipping) I was feeling the same way as you. But you will at least get it in time. My 2 day shipping got here in 6 days. I have filed a complaint but believe me nothing will come of it. So sweetie don't beat yourself up over this.

Really really cold out this morning. But I was on School duty for Ethan so I bucked it up and finally drove my own car. I have been bumming a ride with Doug as I hate driving in bad weather, snow drifts and icy streets. Everyone was cautious so I got to the church in one piece.

Matthew is home till Wednesday as he has 3 finals and 2 on Thursday. Then he is home till January 11. YEA!! It is so good to have him home.

WFDT ~ Homemade turkey noodle soup with homemade rye bread. Real warm comfort food, plus very easy.

We had a really good weekend ( dont mention the Christmas tree's or I'll cry ) here.

My nephew had a sleep over on Friday and we all cooreed in and watched Home Alone.
I know its not every ones favorite but we love it.

Saturday we got the tree and decorations up.


I know I havent told youse this ( kept the whole sorry day quiet ) but I had a big birthday in October.

I really didnt cope with it well and told friends and family to do and buy nothing...but.

When we were in Disney I saw and fell in love with a Mickey Bell wreath but decided it would be too hard to get home.

I was really sad.

Dont know how he got it all the way ower the water without me know.

Best unwanted birthday present EVER.

He's no a bad lad...

I love the house at this time of year...with all our disney stuff it just makes us happy.

Yesterday The Boy had a dance competition so while he was away at that Colin and I got got some Christmas shopping done.

Oh and Elf was on TV....I LOVE THAT MOVIE !!



Colin starts his new job today,he was soooo nervous bless him.

I think when he gets home we are going to go see A Christmas Carol.

just wanted to add that i am making the soup Aimee posted last week for dinner...can't wait. Unless my BIL who may stay wants to order food in instead. He hates to see me cook! I guess I am happy about that!

I am feeling 'eh' but since my test tomorrow will take up most of the day, I came into work to get some stuff done. I came in late and will likely leave early but I'm here!

Dinner is I'm at that point where we leave Thurs, and have Christmas dinners Tues and Wed at other places, so I don't want to buy much food to cook with because it'll spoil before we get home. Sad to say, we may eat out. We have a couple coupons to use up.

Afternoon all, hope you are all well. We had a really nice weekend. We got our Christmas tree on Sat and set it up that evening while the kiddo was at a play with the outlaws. We got it all decorated on Sunday and it looks really nice. I always think of our first Christmas together when we only had a handfull of ornaments, now our tenth Christmas together it's filled with so many memories.

Maria- Welcome home, I hope you and your mom enjoyed your vacation. No matter where you've been, it's always good to come home.

Aimee- I'm so frugal (stingy) most of the time, so that way when I need to spend a little more money than planned I can. I REALLY hope you like your bags after that shipping though!

Vickie- We love Home Alone here, it's become almost a classic Christmas movie. The sequals I could do without though. I hope you enjoy your wreath, that does sound like a challenge to get home and keep a secret. I can't wait for your boy to open up his frootloops, I'm sure he'll be just as happy as you.

Ellen- Have fun with Matthew home, he must have a blast with Ethan. Stay safe in the cold.

Glynis- Glad you had such a nice visit with your brother and family. Good luck with the laudry.

Nancy- That sounds like such a fun day, what a great employer to do that.

Off to get some work done. I don't know what's for dinner. The kiddo has a dentist appointment at 5 tonight, what was I thinking when I made that appointment. Sunset is at 4:08 here, so it will be dark when we leave, yuck. Enjoy the rest of the day everyone!

Sorry I missed checking in yesterday. I partied a bit too hardily Saturday evening with my Nola gal pals! Slept late then hurriedly had to straighten up the house DD & SIL came over to watch the Saints Game! 13-0!!!! !WHO DAT!!!
After they left I napped.

I haven't read back, but I guess Kathy mentioned the flooding rain we had Saturday night. We didn't think we were going to make it to the party. We had to leave late & then couldn't pick up my friend (Ms Marigny) because her street & surrounding area was still flooded.

Unfortunately, We are already getting another storm now. Of course Bob's company Christmas party is tonight!! Just hoping it comes through early & clears up. Also hoping I can get to A's school to pick her up!!

I've been really enjoying getting cards! I almost have miine ready to go out. We finished Bob's list yesterday, now I just have to finish mine.

Hopefully no cooking tonight we'll make it to the party! The owner ordered wine from his & Bob's friend's boutique winery for the party. It's being held at a Spanish rest. in the heart of the French Market, so I really hoping we can get there!

Lauri D, I feel so bad for you!! When I had my hysterectomy I had a bad reaction to the steri strips. Awful blisters where the strips were & then a rash all over. I know you were feeling miserable! I hope that clears up soon! When are you leaving for your trip?

Nancy, Which Cirque show did you see? I think we've seen 3 different ones & have loved every single one.

His day was ok,every one seems nice and he is confident of the work.

But he found out why he is there and on a 6 months contract,with a view to permanent.

The girl who does the job has been diagnosed with cancer and is very poorly.

He had to sit at her desk which still had her coffee mug and photos on it !!

I am raging about that.

It has really upset him...he has not had any dinner and is away to soak in the bath.

I sorta eased into FB. I didn't post much at first until I felt more confident and now it's the first thing I check, plus I have it on my phone. I LOVE it. It's been great for the church, too. Free PR, essentially, and lots more interactive than our newsletters. I handle all that for the church since I'm on there anyways

Once you have all your security settings set right, you can treat it like a personal blog or digital photo album for loved ones to see you and your kiddos. Plus I've gotten in touch with my long lost cousins in Canada through FB! (and a bunch of old boyfriends... )


We went out for mexican - I ate more than I thought I'd be able to, which will hopefully give me some more energy. Since my dad is coming here to dogsit, I have to clean the house some!
