The What's For Dinner Thread - May '09(recipe index in OP)

Morning ladies! I'm so far behind. Forgive me for not responding to everyone. I had a fun night with some girlfriends last night. We got silly playing games and having some sangria. Good times!

Ann--thanks for checking in! Maybe tomorrow!

Bethany--I can't believe you have to love with that water damage. Good thing you are moving soon!

Glynis--lovin' the tr and the pics. Your group looks great!

Aimee--we're taking my dad and dh out for brunch tomorrow. Our fave pizza place now does brunch on Sundays. Breakfast pizzas and bloody marys and mimosas.

Not sure wfd tonight.aybe a night out.

Good Morning,

Quick check in...been a lazy morning. Thomas woke up at 6 for a bottle then went back to sleep so I got to sleep until 9:30!!! :cool1:

Raining here yet again.

Not sure about dinner. We might go out for an early one since A is going by his dad later.

Have a great day!

Okay so a big rainstorm + a shopping list with the following 4 items:
milk
bread
soda
toilet paper

Who wants to take bets on my odds of going 4 for 4 on this? :rotfl:

I'm thinking...SLIM TO NONE!

FYI... I am an emotional moody *ITCH right about now. My poor DH!!!!

Hang in there...try to be nice and give him a baby girl for Father's Day! ;)

I am in a bit of a rut today...but I do not have the wonderful excuse you have...I just have a monthly visitor!

This pictures make me tear up - they have no idea how much these memories will mean to them for many years to come. :sad1:

I know what you mean! That's why we snapped these pictures. Our goal for the trip was to make as many wonderful memories with Grandpa and cousins as we could! We were very fortunate that the whole week we were there, we never had one meltdown, or argument. It was incredible. I know Mom was looking out for us.

Just a morning check-in to let you all know ... we are still here.

Well, I'm sorry you are still here, but just think what a Father's Day gift it would be if Emma would hold out until tomorrow!

Lauren I remember my ole friend Midol. That and a couple glasses of wine I was back to myself.

Ann Hang in there just repeat as necessary soon soon  And take a nap.

Bethany I see 2 things on that list that are a must. Soda and TP. That is why I stock up;) I don't think I will run out of TP until somewhere around christmas:upsidedow

Well, we are on day 5 of our voluntary quarantine. Jacob, Leslie and Timothy are still healthy, and given that we have been fever free for about 48 hours, they may escape. If all goes well, we'll be able to go out into the world on Tuesday morning. I sure hope so! Family togetherness is ok, but we are pushing our limit here!

We were all so bored last night, that I broke out the new game I bought for our family for next Christmas and we played that. Guess I'll have to come up with something else for Christmas.

I'm really sad to be housebound today! Alan's nephew and his fiancee are in town for a barbecue, and we will be missing it! At least Alan's sister will be bringing us food from the barbecue. It's good Texas barbecue! Smoked brisket and ribs, coleslaw, potato salad, watermelon, corn on the cob and baked beans. I'll make up some cornbread to have on hand for it. I'm also thinking about making some of Lindsay's cream biscuits, too.

Now, I've got to go dig through the freezer and see if I have enough stuff to throw together a father's day meal for Alan since we won't be going out. If not, I'll ask SIL to make a run to the store for me!

Talk to y'all later. Hopefully, I'll have the next installment of our TR up today as well.

WFD? Either a miracle or McDonald's.....

This made me :rotfl2: Have you ever seen the show "Chopped" on the food network? Reminds me of the stuff they pull out of their baskets and have to make a meal out of! Good luck!

F & W ladies:

Brenda is going to have buttons made with the Homer logo for our trip. I need to give her a total for us on Monday. I'm going to go ahead and put Maria down for two for her & Greg. The cost will be around $2 each. Please let me know if you're interested and how many.:goodvibes

So I got a court subpoena in the mail today....to report for Grand Jury duty on July 7.

I think NOT! :rolleyes1

I claim non-residency status.

Morning all.

:dancer: Happy Father's Day to everyone's DHs & DFs:dancer:

We are staying home which tends to be the trend right now. The rest of my family is going to my DB and SIL in Foxboro, MA for a cookout. It is a 45 minute ride and I don't feel like being up there if my labor ever decides to start.

Only thing I plan on cooking today is this little girl in me!!!!:lmao:
