I forgot to ask for prayers for Angelina again. She did get the job offer, but the salary was much lower than she expected. She met with the GM again & was honest with them about it. He is supposed to meet with the owner on Thurs. to discuss it. My poor girl, she is usually so confident & self assured, this is really starting to affect her.

Kathy I hope you are feeling better now. The doctor told me when the stones are moving and being passed that is where the pain comes from. I had my last attack at work not fun Drink lots and then drink more. and not coffee or tea lay low on the caffeine for a while. Have your doctor look at your diet and new meds that maybe causing this flare up. You and Kyle aren't having a good couple of weeks I hope Johnny is immune from all this

Scotlass -- Okay, I admit...I'm curious. What was the dream?

Caili and I did have fun this afternoon. The rink was very quiet, so she got in a good practice. However, I think she had the most fun racing me across the ice. She let me start a quarter of the ice ahead, and she still beat me...and she was skating on one foot. She's such a show-off.

At dinner tonight, I asked Liam if he would like to have an afternoon with me like Caili did today. He gave me a look and asked, "And do what?"

Dinner was grilled chicken for Caili, grilled chicken fajitas for me, and black bean and cheese burritos for Liam.

I'm off now, I have to go take the dog for his yearly checkup. I haven't seen the vet since she put my other dog down, so I'm bringing tissues.

Oh, and I had another FUNKY dream last night....and youse guys were in it !!

DREAM - Now are youse sure....ok !!

It was winter and i was LIVING with Glynis and her family in a log cabin !!

I had come over for a visit and Glynis drew the short straw...literally..youse drew straws !!

All her family loved me especially Timothy (who was walking and playing tag and hide and seek) but Glynis would not talk to me !!

I followed her around her house but she just ignored me.

She made me sleep on the floor in the cellar.
I came home from school to find all youse guys having a conference call about me.

You all said i was quite nice but youse liked it better when I was in Scotland !!

Lauren was in Glynis's house and she said if I could ran the London Marathon then I could go stay with her !!

So I did.....I actually won

But youse got all the planes to America cancelled so I couldnt get back.

Then my wee brother appeared and gave me a ferrari so i could drive back to Scotland and when I got here my front garden was a fair ground and the boy was married to the wee girl next door

Because of some other stuff that came up, Granddaddy only got to one facility but mom said it was REALLY nice and the only negative thing he said was that he couldn't afford it. Of course, they didn't even get pricing info - it was simply a ploy to show him that it's not a prison. We may NOT be able to afford it but this will at least pave the way if we can.

Assisted living isn't covered by Medicaid/Medicare or Veterans benefits, evidently. He was a blue collar worker (upholsterer) so never had a pension plan and insurance like most white collar workers.

What do other families do? Even if he moves in with someone, we can't check on him every 2-3 hours like he needs

No special diet for me. Unfortunately, my stones are not the kind that respond to medication or diet. Before my mom died, however, she had been tested for her thyroid, and her doctor told her that her thyroid problem was causing kidney stones. As soon as I finish nursing, I can be tested to see if my thyroid is causing my stones. Until then, I drink a ton of water, and stockpile heavy medication.

Well, it started out rocky, but ended up pretty good. Abby made fun of her, Katie stood up for herself, but Abby ran away from her. When she got home from school, Abby called Katie and apologized for the way she's been treating her for the last few weeks.

You could have more, but it's more likely that you are quite bruised from the passing. I usually find that my back aches for a day or so after passing a stone. Keep an eye on it, and if the pain gets even a fraction worse, call your doctor and take some major pain meds!

There's nothing to compare with passing a kidney stone. They say that labor is worse, but I beg to differ! With labor you get an epidural, but not with a kidney stone! And with labor you have something cute to show for all the pain, but not with a kidney stone!

I forgot to say yesterday was my 11th anniversary and DH forgot !!

I cant be too upset coz it is the first time he has and only the 2nd time i haven't !!

He has been a wee star looking after me so I guess that shows how much he cares more than any silly card.And with the events last week it understandable he forgot.

I wish I had a comforting answer for you. My parents had quite a large nest egg that was used, had they not, I'm not sure what I would have done.

We'll hope it's the end of the bullying. Abby's mom called me yesterday, and wants to come see me today. Should be an interesting visit, to say the least!

Being the cool auntie is the best! I'm the cool auntie to my sister's kids. They want to spend all their spare time with me! Sometimes that's better than being the parent. I can spoil my nieces and nevvies, but not my own kids!
