PIO ~ Safe travels my friend. I can't wait to hear all about it.

As soon as my training session is over tonight, I have a chiropractic appointment then I am running home and showering and heading to Kearney. Stephanie and I have 7 o'clock appointments for pedicures and manicures. A little bit of pampering before vacation. Her and Matthew are running in the "Market to Market" relay this weekend. This is really neat - it starts at the Hay Market in Omaha and they run to the Hay Market in Lincoln. This is 57 miles with 7 relay participants each running 4 -5 miles twice. I am a bit worried about Stephanie as she is 5 months pregnant, but the Dr. has given her the go ahead. She is a runner and has run the whole pregnancy but wow!! She has a heart monitor and a baby sling (it hugs her tummy close to her so there is no bouncing). As worried as I am about her I think Matthew is going to be a nervous wreck. We are not going as I really wanted to stay home and get my packing and canning done. Doug is putting in a new window. But I will be following very close on line.

WFDT ~ Doug is on his own and Stephanie and I are going to our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Well ladies in 30 minutes my vacation begins. We don't fly out till Wednesday morning but I will not be at work. We are leaving on Monday to go to Lincoln as I have a morning Dr. Appointment on Tuesday. Matthew Doug and I will get up early on Tuesday and head to Omaha. We will stay over night and then Marty, Stephanie and Lilly will meet us at the airport at - o dark 30 -Wednesday morning. We will be in Chicago in time for breakfast.

See you on the 21st. You all play nice now!!

Most of our meals have been out or out of a box. Nothing to post about. Just getting back into the swing of regular life before we run off again on another trip. Tonight was Barbacoa (out of a box) and tortillas.

last night was zucchini noodles, homemade pasta sauce and tofu crumbles.

Tonight is swiss char, tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers for me and David gets a chicken breast with his.

Hello everyone..........I'm back!!

I am swamped but I wanted to check in real quick.

We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and only rained one afternoon for about 3 hours and we were inside. We shopped the Magnificent Mile, took in the Navy Pier and took the Architectural Boat Tour on the rivers through the City , ate at Geno's, Bubba Gump and RPM, walked about 10 miles each day, rode the L, and oh yea went to the Husker Game. We won!!

Well before I can even think about dinner tonight I have to go to the grocery store. On the way into town last night I reminded Doug that we needed groceries and the look he shot me was death. We had been up since 3am to catch the plane at 6 am and then played all day at the pumpkin patch before we got home so he was NOT stopping!! I don't even have a crust of bread, and egg or milk so I will be shopping after work.

Ellen, I'm glad you had a fun trip. I hope you're settling back in.

Last night I had a McRib for dinner.

Tonight? No idea. I've got a number of things on the schedule to choose from. I messed it all up by making Friday's dinner on Monday. I expected to get three dinners out of it, but Fran gave too much to the cats so now im down two dinner choices. But we're going out Friday, so it's all messed up. I'll let you know what we end up with!

I swear your cats are the best fed, taken care of, spoiled and loved of any I have ever seen. If I believed in reincarnation I would want to come back as one of your cats - or a bunny in WDW.

Another beautiful day forecasted for today. Should be in the upper 70's but there is rain forecasted for tomorrow. We could use a bit, we are rather dry but the harvest is about 2/3 finished.

WFDT ~ Chicken fried steaks, roasted butternut squash, and a green salad.

The McRib is a seasonal offering and this time each franchisebgets to pick whether or not they want to offer it. Fran had one Saturday, but I wasn't hungry at the time so I was waiitng until our fast food day to have one. It was good and now its out of my system. I couldn't finish it though. It was just too big.

Ellen, yes our cats eat better than lots of people! We leave one week from today. I started my TR last night. I need to get packing, and hopefully I'll get some sleep the night before this trip!

I did see lots of pictures... I was just not sure you might post some here. no problems at all.

It was a tough Saturday, and my hubster pouted a lot and even into Sunday. but I think he is ok now. At one point he turned off the TV.

Well, I made soup... Veggie stock, some black beans, some barley, some green chilies, and a jar of tomatoes. Cumin, oregano, dark chili powder...

Oh so good, DH is still talking about it.

Morning girls and Happy Monday!

Sorry I kind of bailed since I got home. I was so totally swamped since I have been back. Our Church Charge Conference is November 9th, but the conference book has to be in the District Superintendents had 10 days before the meeting. I had 3 days to get payroll out, bills paid, bulletin finished and the Conference book finished. Welcome Home Ellen!! But I am proud to say I got it done. On Thursday night I worked till 8:30 - plus there was a finance meeting that night and they decided I deserved a nice raise for 2015. Didn't even have to ask for it. Wow, I was thrilled!!

Brandi ~ Oh sweetie, you are lucky there were pictures on FB - most of those were posted by my kids. I am just not savvy enough to know how to get pictures on here.

PIO ~ Welcome home - where is your trip report? I can't wait to read this one, since the other one is finished. I loved it by the way!!

Kimmer ~ Where are you? I miss you!!

We of course went to the Rutgers/Nebraska game on Saturday and it was so hot. The temps were high 80's and we all got sunburned. I just can't believe it - the last week of October and we needed sunscreen. Yesterday it was close to 90 and I guess we broke records all over the state. Today it is back to 60's and it feels great. Oh the joy of living on the Plains.

WFDT ~ Stuffed pork chops (wild rice and raisins), roasted brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes and peach cobbler.
