" who moved the mono rail !!?? "

Just how much drinking was involved? :lmao:

You are too kind, I can tell you who would come out in last place already! ;) I'll try to take some pics! If the poor guy ever gets home.

:rotfl2: Did I say THAAAT!!! :lmao:

Thanks for the reasurrance about Alex's teacher. I have a difficult time separating myself when it comes to my baby, the momma bear comes out.:confused3 Supposedly his grade will come up once he turns in the project. There still is no clear answer to how he can be failing when the project is not due. According to Alex some kids are done but equal are not done. He was allowed to bring home the project this weekend to work on it. His grades are poste online but no grade changes are showing up.:confused3 It is very confusing. I've been talking to his dad and we will watch what does on. I will make him go to talk to the teacher since I may say or do something to her.pirate: Sorry for the long rant.

Kathy Have a great weekend with Kyle

Laura Yes dipping the steak in the peanut sauce then grilling it is prefect. :thumbsup2 I do that too since some people don't know how not to double dip.

All this talk about Bob and his batteries...now I am picturing him in an Energizer bunny costume just rearing to go!!!! :rotfl:

It has been a long cold day! Had to be at work at 7. Came home at 2, cleaned my van out some, took my godson to the school to get ready for the game, then came home again to take a little nap before the game. I was nicely layered and it wasn't to bad at first but it got really cold. My face, feet and hands were frozen!

Going tomorrow to my DN's swim meet, have to be there at 8:15. She did the 500 meter today but I don't know how well she did yet, probably be a couple of days before the final results are in.

I had a flashlight that was shaped like the Energizer battery with his drum. You would squeeze the drum and the light would come on. I don't have it anymore. The battery died. :rolleyes1

Good morning everyone! I so wanted to sleep in this morning but 2 dogs said I must get up and feed them.:rolleyes1

This weekend is supposed to be 70 or near 70.:woohoo: I am glad I will be able to open windows and air out the house. Tomorrow we are going to get the H1N1 shot. They are finally getting the vaccines in our area. Alex is such a worrier he will finally be able to focus somewhere else.

Depending on how much I get done today, I might grill. That would take a trip to get the propane tank filled.

Busy Gal! I miss those days when I was running from one event to the other. Just yesterday I was holding two little hands on the way in to swim practices while Gail had the other two and was at soccer.
I do not miss freezing on the bleachers watching a game I did not understand ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Bethany you kill me!

Nancy, I'm sure he will enjoy dinner, most of it started with pork fat!

I ended up fixing what I guess you'd call a deconstructed cassoulet. I cooked white & navy beans with pancetta & pork tasso, white wine, tomatoes & tons of herbs. That's in the oven now, with a topping of bread crumbs. I braised lamb shoulder chops (browned in bacon fat) with tomatoes, red wine & rosemary. Did a chocolate creme brulee (without the carmelized sugar because he doesn't like it) and poached pears & cherries in port. Should be a yummy dinner! One that will likely give me a stomach ache but make DH very happy.
It is a good thing my DH likes tuna because after seeing the meals you and Becky cook when you are sick I am in awe! I cannot even make those when I am bright and spritely ;)

Dinner is going to depend on Dan and Erica. Dan is going to help Buddy split wood after he gets a little sleep. I will make Welby's Chicken Deluxe, (the last heart attack on a plate I am fixing until Thanksgiving) if they want to try it. I also have some good kielbasa if they prefer that. Buddy wants that so we'll see. I also want to try to bake some honey wheat bread.

Janice- Buddy tried the coffee cake and said it was good. He said it "fell apart" some though, I wonder if it is because of the streusel in the middle. Anyway, he said it the guys really liked it. He wants the pudding cake next. It is easy so I;'ll make it this week.

1 pkg cook and serve chocolate pudding made according to directions
1 chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
chocolate chips and chopped nuts

add the cooked pudding to teh mix and the eggs. Make sure that teh pudding is a little cool so it does not scramble the eggs.
pour into 9x13 greased pan
top with lots of chips and nuts
bake for about 30 minutes

YUM!

Good Morning All,

Gretchen, I had a dream about you last night. Hope everything is ok. Please post when you can:grouphug:

Kat, I'm know your in heaven with Kyle home. Have a great time & please give him a hug from me!

Janice, tonight I see my family for my cousin's 50th birthday party so I might know when my Chicago shift might start:)
I hear Emily has really softened her Dad.....:rolleyes1

Bethany, great deal but we don't have a Walmart anywhere.

I heard on the news last night & there is a thread on here that Kmart is offering some hefty discounts if your unemployed.

Dinner ended up being take out which was yummy. We have a really old pub in the next town that makes great burgers. I had onion rings, bbq sauce, tomato & cheddar on mine......
The steaks will wait until tomorrow.

Tonight for the surprise party we will be on the Bateaux:

Maria I hope Emily's dad realizes the potential of the this play. How can you not support your childs dreams:confused3 As much as I would hate for Alex to pick a college out of the hour radius :rolleyes1 of our home I would support him.

Enjoy your party tonight. Venue looks fabulous!

Kids are wonderful, thanks for asking. DS is having a bit of a terrible 3 phase he never got in the 2s. I am noticing he is jealous of the baby lately, that is new.

Hey y'all,

Sheryl- I was supposed to cook but somehow ended up not having time :lmao: Hmmmmmm.......I told Buddy that I was busy busy busy! Now your cassoulet and dessert are making my chicken bite and fries look pretty shabby :lmao:

Maria- that is the boat we wanted to take the evening dinner tour when we went to NY+C. I was so disappointed that it was rainy and yucky! Have fun!

I'm sorry I talked your ear off & now poor Buddy is missing out on a great dinner!;)

Thanks for the compliments! I'm glad I have leftovers for dinner, but it's kind of sad that my own pics are making me hungry.
