All this talk about Bob and his batteries...now I am picturing him in an Energizer bunny costume just rearing to go!!!!

It has been a long cold day! Had to be at work at 7. Came home at 2, cleaned my van out some, took my godson to the school to get ready for the game, then came home again to take a little nap before the game. I was nicely layered and it wasn't to bad at first but it got really cold. My face, feet and hands were frozen!
Going tomorrow to my DN's swim meet, have to be there at 8:15. She did the 500 meter today but I don't know how well she did yet, probably be a couple of days before the final results are in.
Busy Gal! I miss those days when I was running from one event to the other. Just yesterday I was holding two little hands on the way in to swim practices while Gail had the other two and was at soccer.
I do not miss freezing on the bleachers watching a game I did not understand
I had a flashlight that was shaped like the Energizer battery with his drum. You would squeeze the drum and the light would come on. I don't have it anymore. The battery died.

Bethany you kill me!
Nancy, I'm sure he will enjoy dinner, most of it started with pork fat!
I ended up fixing what I guess you'd call a deconstructed cassoulet. I cooked white & navy beans with pancetta & pork tasso, white wine, tomatoes & tons of herbs. That's in the oven now, with a topping of bread crumbs. I braised lamb shoulder chops (browned in bacon fat) with tomatoes, red wine & rosemary. Did a chocolate creme brulee (without the carmelized sugar because he doesn't like it) and poached pears & cherries in port. Should be a yummy dinner! One that will likely give me a stomach ache but make DH very happy.
It is a good thing my DH likes tuna because after seeing the meals you and Becky cook when you are sick I am in awe! I cannot even make those when I am bright and spritely
Dinner is going to depend on Dan and Erica. Dan is going to help Buddy split wood after he gets a little sleep. I will make Welby's Chicken Deluxe, (the last heart attack on a plate I am fixing until Thanksgiving) if they want to try it. I also have some good kielbasa if they prefer that. Buddy wants that so we'll see. I also want to try to bake some honey wheat bread.
Janice- Buddy tried the coffee cake and said it was good. He said it "fell apart" some though, I wonder if it is because of the streusel in the middle. Anyway, he said it the guys really liked it. He wants the pudding cake next. It is easy so I;'ll make it this week.
1 pkg cook and serve chocolate pudding made according to directions
1 chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
chocolate chips and chopped nuts
add the cooked pudding to teh mix and the eggs. Make sure that teh pudding is a little cool so it does not scramble the eggs.
pour into 9x13 greased pan
top with lots of chips and nuts
bake for about 30 minutes
YUM!
