The Way-La song...

I know y'all know what I'm talkin' about!

I'm a huge Tapestry of Dreams fan, but I haven't been to Disney since they discontinued the parade.

Do they still play the Way-La song on the way out of Epcot after Illuminations?

It's just not the same on the car stereo.

My kids call it the Hey-La song and my DD is devastated that the parade is no longer running! Don't know if they still play it, but will be heading down in a couple of days and will listen for it although I'm sure someone here will know the answer before I get back!

Although you would think it shouldn't be played anymore, I have heard it everytime I visited since the show stopped running.

Typically I will hear it in World Showcase after IllumiROE is over and after "We Go On" and "Promise" have played.

**Additionally** you will often hear the Millennium Celebration's theme, "Celebrate the Future Hand in Hand" woven into "Tapestry of Nations" when it is played in World Showcase.

I heard it two weeks ago when leaving Epcot in the pouring rain after Illuminations. I love that song!

I always wondered though - are they actually saying something in the main chorus? Is that song in another language? It's so hard to tell!!

They do play it after Illuminations...at least they did when I was there (Aug - Jan) My roommate went out and bought the illuminations soundtrack and was bitterly dissapointed when it didn't have that song (for some reason she didn't think to read the track listing first...go figure )

She must have bought the wrong one, because it's on the Illuminations CD that I have. It's long! A lot of drums. Very catchy, though, and I find myself singing it when I get to work--because I have to play the CD for the memories....

They do still play this after Illuminations. We were walking back to the Boardwalk when we heard the song. My 2 DS started singing along & decided to make their own parade. We had a great time, a few others joined in and did the "bows" with us, and we even got thumbs up from a few CMs too. They can take the parade away but not the memories.
