My DW and I are heading to WDW in 89 days, 9/17. Only park time is for MNSSHP. We will be golfing and cruising on the Magic. So we will be eating at the hotels. We would like to do The Wave as we are at BLT the first couple nights. Is it good? Should we get ADRs? We also do not mind eating at the bar. Is there any restrictions about doing that?
Also, we have eaten at the hot bar at Flying Fish and loved the experience. Do you need ADRs for that or is that first come first serve? THANKS!
Starting to get very excited about our vacation!:cool1::dance3:

The Wave is good. And, I've seen people eating apps and/or dinner at the bar there. If you want a table instead of hit-and-miss seating in the bar area (which gets crowded at night in my experience), then I'd definitely make an ADR. With the opening of BLT, there are many more people booking CR restaurants.

I'm sure you know that the food at the Wave is largely based on organic and sustainable ingredients -- delicious and environmentally responsible!

The Wave is really good. Never been to FF but heard all good about it.

We love both restaurants...the Wave has an incredible atmosphere and the food is fantastic (click on my March link for pics and reviews).

We have not dined at the bar at FF but I would get a ressie there just in case

We just did the Wave for Lunch about a month ago and really enjoyed the food - didn't have reservations - would go again. For dinner though depends on what type of atmosphere you're looking for. The room is very open, nothing special so bet it'd get loud if crowded. The entryway is way cooler looking than the room that they put us in. That said, didn't go to the bar area behind the check-in, so not sure if there are tables there
We loved FF - went there for dinner - was loud but we had a quieter table in the back so we could have a conversation no problem.

Last week I had the sustainable tuna at the Wave, and it was literally the best tuna I've eaten on Disney property, including back when Jiko used to have it. The sustainable fish changes though...but we've had good experiences with other food items there too.

Thanks...We might even do late drink T CG to see Fireworks and chill!

That's us at the bar at Flying Fish in September of last year! You do need reservations to eat at the open kitchen seating area..you just ask to be seated there when you come in. Of course you can always "walk up" w/o reservations, but FF is pretty crowded most times we've been there.
As for the bar itself--not sure. I can say it's a pretty small bar and that night all the seats had been taken.
As far as CG--w/o reservations they won't even let you up for a drink unless there is room. Which there probably won't be anytime near fireworks time.
