The Walt Disney World Annual Passes Open for Sale

So if you upgrade from regular ticket to AP, and you are a resort guest, you should be able to keep all of your previously booked park reservations? Nothing will get cancelled? :scared:
I’m not a resort guest but I still have all 7 of my December days previously booked on a 7 day ticket. I upgraded and I have my orig 7 plus 4 of my 5 AP reservations left. I booked one for FW in two weeks and another reservation that was a star reservation (free reservation that doesn’t count toward the 5)

First time posting, but I was really stressed out about upgrading my package tickets to APs out of fear of losing my 10/1 reservation, so I just wanted to share my experience with anyone else concerned about this. I had also heard the advice to wait until the last day of my park tickets so as not to risk losing the 10/1 res, and being disappointed because that meant not getting the perks for the entirety of my trip. I also saw some saying that tickets can't be upgraded until check-in if they're part of a package, which was also not ideal for me because I'm getting in late on 9/30 and didn't want to have to add this to the chaos of 10/1. Before upgrading, I had a three day ticket as part of a package for anniversary weekend (the tickets I wanted to upgrade) and a Christmas/New Year's trip with two separate bookings because of a split stay.

Someone on here recommended calling the number for changes to your package, so that's what I did. 407-939-1863. The CM, Renee, immediately instilled confidence because she knew exactly what I was talking about, understood my paranoia over the 10/1 reservation, and was able to list out the options right away without hesitating or needing to ask around (she was the 3rd CM I've talked to about this, in person at DS and by calling another number, and the others had basically said they couldn't help but also clearly had no idea what they were doing so I didn't trust them to touch my reservations anyway). Renee's immediate listing of the options indicated that she had handled this scenario already, so I trusted her more to not mess this up lol. What she did was processed the AP order first and had me link the APs to my account while I was on the phone with her. This was NOT a bridge, and I temporarily had both day tickets and the AP connected to my trip. This helped make sure there was never a point that I didn't have a valid ticket (although that was more for peace of mind; she said it won't do anything if you temporarily have no ticket). Renee said that if you have no valid ticket, in 24-48 hours the reservations will drop. So as long as you link the APs right away (and why wouldn't you just out of excitement!!), the reservations will stick. She then canceled my Christmas tickets first, that way we were able to go in and confirm that my reservations were still there, and in case a glitch happened, I would be able to recover those reservations that have plenty of availability. We did that, and everything was fine. So once she'd convinced me with my Christmas package, she took the day tickets off my anniversary package and re-booked it as room only. No issues . . . PHEW! My reservations held after the refresh, and she even put me on hold to check in with another unit of guest services that everything was linking up on the back end, which they confirmed. Also, now that my tickets are canceled on my fully paid package, I'm getting a refund in full within 10 business days. So it's kind of a bridge rebate if you will, where you pay the AP in full but then get a refund for the cost of your day ticket.

Finally, she told me to take screenshots on MDX before we did anything so that I had proof that I had the 10/1 MK reservation. She said that way if I notice they disappear at any point or it's not working day-of, I have proof of the reservation, and then she said they have way more ability to help than someone trying to create a new park reservation on a sold out day. Basically it sounds like there MIGHT be some back-end magic they can do to recover your reservation as long as you contact them as soon as it happens (or as soon as possible after) and have proof.

So anyway, long post, but if there's anyone else who is panicking about a 10/1 reservation with a vacation package but also want to make sure they get to use their AP perks for the duration of the trip, definitely call that vacation package number instead because those CMs get the paranoia and know what they're doing!

I have an experience similar to Tiana's above, wanting to upgrade existing tickets to an AP and not lose my existing 10/1 MK Park Pass reservations.

I called 407-939-1863 and at the voice prompt thing said that I wanted to modify an existing reservation. The first CM I spoke to gave the usual line of not being able to keep reservations if I did the upgrade. He did transfer me to the Passholder line so that I could talk to them about it. I was on hold for about 20 minutes and then connected to what I believe the second CM said was Passholder Help Services, or something like that. He knew exactly what I was trying to do, and said that the confusion over the reservations was because at first they were told that all reservations would drop off, but this week they were shown how to do the upgrade and keep existing reservations. I was able to upgrade my tickets to the DVC Sorcerer's Pass and when he was done he had me refresh MDE and make sure that my 10/1 reservations were still there.

So maybe there is updated info on how to do these upgrades that just hasn't trickled down to all CMs yet, but it looks like it IS possible!

I upgraded my unused park tickets to APs this morning. Finally! Tried to do this earlier and was on the Disney Loop hold; my calls were eventually dropped. Very easy this morning. I used the call back option. When I spoke to the CM that made it happen, it took all of 4 minutes. Excited! We leave Wednesday and have 10 nights booked at the Campground!!

What number did you use? I’ve tried so many that I don’t even remember which one was the best to use.

I can report as to what we did, similar to the two posters above. We had booked a room and ticket package at with 5 day tickets and park reservations from 10/1 - 10/5, including 10/1 at MK. Worried that annual passes might be limited, I bought two APs for me and DW online as soon as I could on 09/08/21. Then on Friday I called and was the castmember assured me that I could drop the tickets from my package and I would still maintain my park reservations. So instead of upgrading the tickets to APs, I just paid for the APs and then canceled the package tickets and should be getting a refund for their value. So far, park reservations are still in place, though I did make sure to take screenshots just in case.

The number I eventually got a call back from to do my upgrade was 407-939-7277.

I got as far as page 5 before I leapt to the end to post my ten cents. Member Services told me they weren't upgrading tickets booked for the end of October yet, but I'll be added to the list and called appropriately. Later that evening they called me; turns out they couldn't upgrade us to APs because we booked through an agent (I think Perks at Work, for anybody who cares), so we'll have to present ourselves in person.
So there you are: if you didn't buy your theme park tickets direct through Disney, you won't be able to upgrade them by phone.

I had bought 5 day tickets in April from UT. I was able to upgrade today to the Incredipass. I called the passholder line, and waited for about 10 minutes, and was told I'd get a call back within an hour from ticketing. 20 minutes later, I received a call and was able to upgrade my 4 tickets to APs. That call took about 30 minutes to complete.

Thank you! I've been waiting for someone to have luck upgrading UT tickets to the Incredipass before I called myself. I have been nervous that I would have had to wait until I got to WDW.

Can someone please confirm I can do the following? Weeks ago, many confirmed it was correct/allowed but I thought I read something yesterday that contradicted my plan.

we have unused 4 day FL resident tickets. We have park reservations for 9/30, 10/1, 10/2 and 10/3. I will use my tickets as is for the 50th anniversary weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun). On Monday 10/3, I will go to guest services and upgrade the ticket to theFL resident annual pass (the lowest one-only good weekdays).
Okay?

Can you share the phone number you called? I have 6 day tickets from UT left over from May 2020 already upgraded to May 2022 so hoping to upgrade to an AP.

I'm not sure anyone knows for certain. At best I can say that in the past this was allowed. However, I've read at least a couple of posts where someone asked and a CM said no. Until we hit a block-out date and someone tries, we won't really know for sure.

Wouldn’t this last weekend have been a block, out date for the lowest pass? Someone must have tried it.

what CMs have said no? And they just asked or tried to,do it and couldn’t? Can you direct me to those posts?

I don't know if anyone has tried yet, just asked about it and told no (from what I remember of the posts I've read). Here's one, I don't have time to dig through for more.

Finally, success!!!! Was only on hold for 2 hours, this time.

To be honest, I almost missed it bc I was watching a movie. I heard her say “hello” a few times, knocked my phone off the couch in excitement and then thought that I had accidentally hung up on her. 🤦‍♀️

I just posted on the Tickets and How to upgrade Thread but I'll share here too. I tried to upgrade my May 2022 tix originally purchased for May 2020 through UT and got through the process as far as getting a final figure and ready to submit payment but I was trying to use giftcards and their system is undergoing "Magical Enhancements" which makes gift card purchases unable to go through. I was tempted to just put it on my Visa instead but decided to be patient and wait for the "Magical Enhancements" (i.e. glitch) to get resolved...so I wait some more. As Morgan Freeman says in Evan Almighty, God is giving me many opportunities to practice being patient.
