The Walking Dead on AMC

In the book Penny was Phillip's daughter and Brian's niece and when Phillip dies Brian takes his name as he becomes the Governor. I too thought the last epi was a 'how he became the Governor' epi and this little girl was his Penny walker...except the eye-patch made it current and not past. In the book he sends his people to the prison to attack and when they come running out he tries to get them to go back (like in the show, last season, but in the show this is where he slaughters all his people) and then, in the book, they turn on him and kill him and throw him to the walkers. So, I am guessing his demise is coming...maybe. I also thought he was talking to Carol in the beginning when he's answering questions on what had happened to him. It sounded like Carol's voice. I guess it was the new sex partner's voice...what's her name?

I suspect his 'new family' won't be around for long...or maybe the one girl (Lilly?) will turn all Governor-ish after he gets killed. She seems a little 'on the edge' anyway. She was talking about looking for love (I think she's a lesbian, no?)...right...did I catch that right? Maybe they have a love interest for her or maybe that was just to show how she's naive to the ZA as she's been holed up in that apartment.

The one who said she was a cop, was Tara, and yes, we also got that she was a lesbian. Lily is Megans mother. I think they were a bit naive being holed up in that apartment for so long. But compared to being on the run, I don't think they realized how good they actually had it. They may have been bored and lonely, but geez, they had some food, they had real beds, a table, comfy furniture, etc.

Am I the only person who is not happy to see the Governor? I hated last season and hate the Governor storyline. I almost quit watching last season because they drug Woodbury on forever. Maybe if it wouldn't have been an entire season of him and Woodbury... I certainly hope they do not drag the Governor out now for the entire rest of the season. I don't even want it to go to episode 8, but the story I think does have to go at least that far.

I'm with you. I didn't like last season either and the most recent episode put me to sleep. I don't care about the Governor and wish Rick's group killed him off when they had the chance. I'm getting tired of the prison too. Move on. I'm starting to lose interest in this show.

Looks like another week show of the Governor with no Rick or what's going on at the prison etc.

Really? So next week is the mid-season finale and from the previews it looks like the plot is recycled from last season - the Governor / Phillip / Brian and his camp want the prison and attack it.

I used to love this show but in all honesty, I was bored with this episode.

I've been bored for the last few. It's almost become stagnant.

YES VERY YES-but they showed next weeks episode with the GOV. showing up at the prison this should be very good if this happens...

Seems like to me after the gov got rid of Rodriues while playing golf he has a plot to be back on top again.

It did drag, I was like come one governor wake up kill the camper take their stuff. Bad me but hey it's the zombie era.

We all know the governor was going to do another Rick group show down.

Not zzz waiting for showdown. And Rick Darrell showdown. Ugh

The past two episodes have been the best of the season so far. Fantastic acting and storytelling. I love it.

I hope the mid-season finale ends with Beth and Judith dying during the Gov's attack. I've a feeling it will.

I'm hoping its not Maggie, she on the talking dead next week, everyone that dies goes on the talking dead.

Can we talk about what happened last night? In white below

So does everyone think it was Michone that cut those heads off and left them in house as a message?

And I still love it.

Java - my theory is that it's either the previous work of The Gov or we have a new villain to take The Gov's place when he's gone.

I think there will be a new villain. I also wonder about who killed those people in the camp. Wouldn't the Gov and his group have heard the gun shots and screaming etc?

I am curious as to what has been happening at the prison after the outbreak. I guess we find out next week.

I think mid-season finale means it starts up again after the holidays. Probably in Jan.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Michonne who did it. It's just not her style.

What makes me think it's her is the clean cuts off the head. Then hiding the heads like the governor did in the old town. The group of tent campers that died all had neck slashes. I'm guessing the governor did it to take over manipulating stuff. He wanted to run but when they couldn't he had to make it as secure as possible so he took over(in his sick little twisted world) or it could have been Michone. Who is a very mentally troubled dark character in the comic series.

I hope next week we see a real battle. And I'm guessing Michone kills him.
