Would seem to make sense to look in the barn, but as you said, it makes for better suspense and drama to let her stumble out of the barn.

Maybe, aside from Carol, everyone was in denial and wanted to believe Sophia was going to be ok when they found her, as the storyline seemed to be pointing when Darryl found the opened sardine can in the garbage can of that abandoned farm house.

Her stumbling out of the barn was quite dramatic and sad. I had hope too. :sad1:

ooh, tonight's episode got me thinking... is it possible that come winter, at least in the colder climates, the walkers might freeze? Even if they are only temporarily frozen, it sure would make it easier to hunt them down and kill them!

Shane used that same knife to cut himself. Is he infected?
I'm sipping on my morning coffee and re-watching last nights show.

Rick & Shane got into the fist fight, their faces are cut. Then I see Rick covering himself with a walker. What happens of some of "them" get into an open flesh wound?

Also, with the security guards, what was all that talk about no bites? Where is this going?

There is a line of thinking that suggests everyone carries the virus that turns you into a zombie. It just takes longer for some to turn than others. The lack of bites that Shane pointed out last night only perpetuates that theroy more.

Yes, I do believe that they are just being a little bit too blase about the whole virus. I would not use a knife to cut myself if I had just killed a walker with it. And I would not be sticking my hand out the door to kill a walker knowing that they could chew on my knuckles. But I guess Shane had no other choice! He was going to die. I loved the look on his face when he saw Rick running away. Doesn't feel so nice to be thrown to the wolves, does it??

But I think he is pretty much a lost cause. That's the symbolism of the lone walker in the field... everything was just the same to him coming back, as it was going. He is not going to fall in line.

As for the two security guards not having bites, it's probably in line with everyone being infected. It's a really scary thought that the virus can never really be contained. Someone can die of natural causes, even in a safe environment, reanimate, and then kill off everyone.

Lori is a goober. She needs to lose someone close to her, or else just die herself, because she is really getting on my nerves. I liked that Andrea told her off.

Now that Lori is pregnant, I keep thinking about the movie "Dawn of the Dead" the pregnant woman was bit and turned into a zombie, then her baby was born...a zombie! Lori and her arrogance is getting worse. She knows without a doubt that both Rick AND Shane have her and Carls backs. Now that they are hinting that they all could be infected, I'm wondering how far they will go with the baby she's carrying.

I LOVED that Andrea told her off last night. Especially the part where she said the word "boyfriend" oh yeah, she TOTALLY went there!:cool2:

I don't see them killing off Lori because the baby is the one sign of hope. I could totally see the baby being born with some new "immunity" at the end of the series that means the human race can survive.

And I loved that, too! Go, Andrea!!!

I think I saw a flaw in both of those scenes. At the beginning of the episode, Shane was looking out his passenger window at the Walker in the field. Then, they came to the crossroads. There was a freshly paved road on the right (as we are looking at them). At the end of the episode, Shane is looking out the passenger window and he is seeing the same walker. Obviously going in the wrong direction. Then, at the crossroads, there is that freshly paved road on the right. Correct me if I am wrong.

Did anyone else get a hoot from the way Rick ensured Randall would stay in the car? His neck was taped to the headrest :rotfl2:

I am also noticing a pattern in the names......Randall, Carol, Daryl, Merle, Carl, Hershel and Dale. They are making it difficult to remember names with such similarities.

Did Shane use the same knife? I thought he used Ricks knife to kill the walker at the fence, then his own knife in the bus. Of course, I could be wrong ;)

I don't think a walker's "blood" will infect someone, as it does in other Zombie movies. I think it's a, your dead, you become a walker thing.

I thought maybe the guards killed each other, or killed one, then committed suicide. I think that's what made Rick go back for Shane. Seeing two "cops" that went out together, obviously close like he and Shane were. Otherwise, I think Shane was walker-bait.

I also think Andrea got the shaft last night. First time in a long time I've liked something she did.

So are you guys saying if someone dies, has a heart attack for instance and drops dead, they come back as a walker?
Do you have to die to become a walker, can't become one by getting bit by a zombie?

That's what I thought too. I know they are always concerned about people being bitten or scratched by the walkers.

My biggest question is where was Daryl? In fact, half the cast was missing.

We got a kick out of when Andrea ran back and said that she just heard that the sister cut her wrist. We both asked from who? ;)

Well, it's just a theory, but it's what some people think Jenner (doc at CDC) whispered in Rick's ear. That everyone is infected, doesn't matter how you die, you come back. So, if it's true, only Rick knows that, no one else, so they just assume it's a bite or scratch that makes you a walker.

As I was in bed, unable to sleep last night, I was mulling this over. It could be true. People thought that you got bit/scratched, got infected, got a fever, die and became a walker. BUT, what if you get bit/scratched by something dead and rotten, get an infection from it (HELLO!) and you subsequently die from the infection and coincidentally come back as a walker. Not really because of the bite/scratch, but just because you DIED. It could happen.

We saw Shane reach down into his pocket and pull out his own knife. We didn't see him kill the walker at fence. But we assumed he used his own knife. He later used what looked like the same knife to cut himself on bus.

Andrea was left in charge of watching whatshername, I wonder if Andrea put a bug in her ear about breaking the mirror to get the glass to kill herself. Maybe that's how she knew? :confused3

So she was just saying that? That would make sense I guess. I saw her just walk out of the room but who knows?

What makes me think that is how she kept saying she made choice, she wants to live. Maybe it was a way for Andrea to show Whatshername that she really did want to live. :confused3 Just guessing and thinking out loud.

I think there's enough evidence on the show now to let the cat out of the bag on this one - everyone is infected and they will come back as a walker when they die (unless there is a traumatic brain injury). You can get bit and die or you can die of natural causes and you will still be a walker. Rick knows this (he was told by the guy at the CDC) and that's why he shot those guys in the bar thought the head. Shane pondered last night on the two guards who had no visible injuries and wondered how they became walkers. Rick knew.

Sophia could have died from a number of causes and would have been a walker anyway.

There really is no other explanation for the mass amount of walkers on the planet in such a short time. In the chaos, many people died, all of them came back as walkers.

I think right now they (Rick and everyone else) are operating on the idea you have to be bit/scratched (although the scratch thing really gets me as they have all been grabbed and clawed at many times it seems) to become a walker but they (writers/storyline) are possibly setting it up that death of any kind..even natural will result in you turning into a walker. The death = walker thing kind of makes more sense to me than it requiring a bite/scratch and I think that Shane was trying to get at that when they were looking at the walker police men.

So what did the guards die of? It seems unlikely that both would have died of natural causes in the same timeframe. They had no bites and there was no evidence of apparent scratches.
