The Walking Dead on AMC

I must have missed this, because I only saw the two guards as being dead on the ground. Did they re-animate to become walkers? They looked like they'd been dead for a while,too.

They were walkers, and Rick and Shane stabbed them in the head through the fence. As they were laying them down, they noticed that they had no bites and Shane said something about how it must be scratches, then, and Rick quickly dismissed it.

I had a dream last night that Shane was my kids' swim teacher.

Definitely one of the best shows on TV at the moment.

I think we're about a week behind you over here - last Friday here was the episode when they brought the young guy back to the farm and where Lori is obviously trying to get Rick to "deal" with Shane.

I'd be interested to know how close the TV show is to the comics or whether it's gone off in a different direction with the characters.

My theory is that those people sat in their cars for a very long time, and some died right away, some died a bit later depending on the supplies they had... they died from dehydration or malnourishment, but they all died before the virus went airborne and infected all the living. And the rate of decomposition has to do with where they were (sun or shade), whether they had their windows open so they could become a zombie snack, etc....

AMC website runs 'Walking Dead' spoiler by mistake
They are selling the dvd for season 2 and in the description it tells you something that is a spoiler. If you want to know, go to http://twitpic.com/8qupe7/full and read the description of the dvd. amc has fixed it so it doesn't give the spoiler anymore but EW was nice enough to take a picture of the site.

Someone told me there are spoilers on another site that tell you exactly what's going to happen during the next 3 episodes, but I'm not paying attention!! I was spoiled into knowing exactly what was going to happen with Sophia. It's a shame that all this stuff gets leaked!

That is the exact reason I don't do Walking Dead searches. I would love to join in on some conversation and see more predictions other than on this thread, but you can never be guaranteed someone will get excited and just spill the beans. I actually like predictions and seeing who figured it out. The Sophia thing did take me by surprise.

Wow. I forgot about this. And there were bodies outside of the hospital in the first ep, right? Hmm..

Anyone have a prediction about how many seasons you think this show will last? Lots of character history we don't know about. We have seen very little flashback to when the outbreak first happened. I just hope no matter how many seasons we get, they are able to answer all the questions.

Anyone notice the way they kept focusing on the angel wings on the back of Daryl's jacket? I told my son he was going to be the angel of death.

Carl had a quick lesson when he recognized the face of that walker.

Wow, the way that walker ripped into Dale and that cow! The walkers are starting to get closer to the farmhouse.

Randall knows Shane's plan. I thought for sure he would squeal to save his own skin.
