The Walking Dead on AMC

Yeah, Lizzy is really acting nutty. Where the heck was she leading that walker? And the blood? Ick!

There's definitely something off about her, but she was leading the zombie away to save Glenn. She kept calling him like a dog, "Come here, boy! Come here, away from Glenn!" And although she seems to think the walkers to be like pets, she sure freaked out when it fell on her. I wonder if Hershel hadn't stepped in if she would have grabbed her knife to protect herself (obviously, that was her last resort because she could've just killed him in the prison cell).

Wow. This may be a thread about a zombie apocalypse show, but that might've been one of the most twisted posts I've read.

Guys, we have our own governor - watch out! :rotfl:

Haha, I'm just trying to think of the best way to reintroduce the Governor back to Rick's group.

I read an interview with the show's producer saying the Governor would make a grand re-entrance to the show. I think him killing Carol, then reminding us how sick he is by using one of his aquariums, would be great.

1) It would cause Tyrese to maybe feel some justice, which would lead to some interesting character dialogue and conflict.

2) It would create conflict and tension between Daryl and Rick, assuming Daryl is upset with Rick's decision to vote Carol off the island.

3) It would create inner conflict in Rick, because not only is the Governor back but he took out Carol, and now he's taunting the rest of them.

4) It would cause conflict and turmoil should we and the group find out Carol wasn't the one killing the humans in the prison.

So, it would advance characters and story development while also reminding us what kind of a person we're dealing with when it comes to the Governor.

I can't remember that far back, can someone remind me of how Daryl reacted when he discovered that Rick had cut off his brother's hand/arm on that rooftop in the earlier episodes? DH said that Daryl although upset and disgruntled with Rick at first, wasn't like beside himself at what happened to his brother, not even when Merle was assumed to be dead. I honestly can't remember how he reacted.

We were discussing if Daryl will go off on Rick about Carol or not. DH seems to think he will be mad/upset but not distraught or vengeful about it because he wasn't even that outwardly upset about his brother.

I definitely think you're on to something, but I think it will be even more extravagant than an aquarium outside of the prison.... he's going to show them that he's inside and that he's been inside for a long time.

And to that we have to ask, could the governor have killed Karen?

He was really ticked about his brother, and back then, he was very physical and temperamental, throwing punches at Rick. They had to hold him back. It was a lot of yelling and physical anger.

After they found Merle's hand on the roof (and made Glenn carry it in his backpack), Daryl was set to track him, and might would have if Glenn hadn't gotten kidnapped by the Hispanic "gang" who turned out to be nice people taking care of the seniors left behind in a nursing home.

omgosh he made Glen carry it in his backpack?! grossss. I think I may have to go back and watch some of those episodes to refresh my memory. Plus...I love to prove DH wrong lol

I had a recent refresher with the marathon AMC played before this season's premier... I had forgotten a lot of it. You should definitely go back and watch that episode, though.

Also, trying to avoid any more spoilers, but Merle is never assumed dead. Daryl knows that Merle is alive, and there's a confirmation at the end of the episode.

I agree, I think it's easy to see something from a distance and not be scared. But when it's literally in your face, the game changes. I think it will be interesting to see if she still see's them as "friends".

Rick didn't cut his arm off. He just handcuffed him to poll on a roof in a totally zombie infested city that's all

I was suprised to see the Governor this early on. I figured he'd be coming back soon when Michonne made the comment last episode about giving up on finding him and the trail going cold, but thought it'd be at least a few episodes. So now they have to deal with this virus outbreak, the fences falling, and the governor. Oy vey!
If the governor was the one feeding the rats, how did he get inside the gates with no one noticing? I thought they had a night watch crew. Unless someone on the inside has been helping the governor...
And yes, Lizzie still seems very off (and not sick :confused3). I don't know if there really is something up with her or if the writers are just trying to throw us off.

I didn't think he'd be back until much closer to the mid-season finale.
The other kid that was in quarantine with Lizzie didn't seem any sicker than she did, so maybe kids fend it off better? She was kinda pale with some dark circles under her eyes. But I have no idea what to make of that kid, I've never been so perplexed by a character on this show before.

While watching the Talking Dead, I kept thinking how much more entertaining these guests were than Marilyn Manson.

On the whole, TWD was a much better episode than last week.

I was really leaning toward Lizzie just being clueless and a bad actress, but when she rubbed her foot in the blood, it really made me wonder!

And LOVE how Rick was like, "I can ABSOLUTELY eat peas with you, son, rather than go talk to Daryl." I am prepared for a Daryl-Rick smackdown.

I think it's one of the kids feeding the rats to the walkers. I had thought it was Carl Jr but am thinking it might be Lizzys little sister. She's interesting to me. These kids are CREEPY.
I personally can't stand Carl Jr. I know I should feel bad that he had to 'finish' his mom and all but I don't. I wish he would get attacked and eaten.

I can't stand Carl's Jr. either!

EWWWWWWWWWW

I love Carl. Wonder if he was feeding the walkers in an attempt to show his dad how valuable he is to the group when he then helps to fight them off. Or maybe he burned the bodies and Carol was covering for him

Ditto Carl is a bad as teen and cool cumber.

Rick falls apart Carl is cool.

So, I today had the opportunity to converse with a coworker, who is a die hard TWD fan. He had an interesting theory when I asked him about Carol. He thinks, that Carol will protect them, watch them from a distance. And he thinks that she, will save them from the Governor.

I kinda liked the way his mind was working on that one. She loves the group, she would do ANYTHING to protect them. Maybe my coworker is on to something here. We all agree, we will see Carol again.

And can someone remind me, what the heck happened to Andrea? Where did she go? Maybe her an Carol will cross paths and they will both save the group from the Governor?

Thoughts :confused3
