The walking dead amc #2

I watched. It was slow but I thought last week was as well. I am not liking the group being all separated and only seeing fragments of the group each week. I watch with my twin DDs-15 and they are also anxious for the group to get back together.

Watched the talking dead too. It was okay. Talked about the meaning of all the fires and Carol and Daryl having to burn away their pasts and come out all new and who they were meant to be. Highlight to see spoiler
There was talk, I started to fall asleep but caught some talk, about the hospital pulling the plug on Carol (life support???).
I guess we'll see the hospital next week.

After watching the preview for next week, I hope Dawn dies in a particularly gruesome manner.

I did think it was a little slow, but not as bad as the previous two episodes because it had Carol and Daryl in it. <3 I like how it came around to where I expected it to be from the episode where Michonne sees Daryl in the woods with a "mysterious" other.

When Daryl was like, "We've got people, too" I cheered! Now Dawn will find out "they're screwing with the wrong people." Can't wait for them all to get together and kick some butt. Because you know they will. ;)

I'm tired of all of these character studies- and I despise Talking Dead. Don't they have any friends to watch tv with? I'd rather talk to my husband and kids about the show. And the actors? I don't care who they are or what they think and feel. I just want to watch them "act."

Well that seems an easy fix...dont walk Talking Dead. I like TD.

Another slow episode but it at least explained some things.

Oh, question: Why did Carol take that book about Survivors of Childhood Abuse? Were they saying she was abused as a child or was that going back to her being abused by Ed? I missed a lot of the dialogue because their talking is always so darn quiet, and my husband likes to sit there and make fun of the show as I'm watching it.

Daryl was the one that took the book.
Carol had Tom Sawyer, that Herschel had given Lizzie.

Yes, after that preview of next week, I can't even type here what I texted to my daughter. Her response was I hope Beth smashes her head to bits LOL. That woman is going down!
And they have NO idea what is heading their way :)!

Noah "they have guns and people" Daryl, "so do we" :):):):)

I think it is probably a combination of the two. Childhood abuse makes it easier to accept spousal abuse because it seems normal.

Agree with the previous poster, simple fix, don't watch the Talking Dead. We love watching.
It seems maybe you might need a break from TWD also.

I liked last nights alot!! But they are my two favorite characters. I have to see I did NOT see that coming. I totally thought she was planted at the hospital, as did Chris Hardwick on the Talking Dead. There was so much um, tension between them last night though, geez! I wanted her to tell him everything about Lizzie.
I don't really think there were too many tidbits on the Talking Dead last night. It was a great episode, and I love Yvette, the way she analyzes everything so deeply is awesome. Lot's of good discussions, but I don't think anything enlightening like in previous weeks. But that could be because for once everything was pretty clear this week.

I thought she was planted there too, so that was a shock.

I actually thought there was no tension(sexual anyway) between them at all. I don't really like them as a couple though, so maybe just my perception b/c I don't want them together.

I didn't notice sexual tension, but there was tension. I don't think hooking up is necessary in the apocalypse. I don't want Daryl with Carol OR with Beth either.

Last night was better. I know it's a zombie show and I don't really know how people would react in that situation. But there are so many scenes that are unbelievable that it just takes you out of story. Carol and Daryl going off alone is the first. What happened to stay together, stay alive? Then they follow a car in complete darkness to Atlanta where all the abandoned cars have now neatly been moved off the highway.

Luckily they pull over by Carol's safe house where they can spend hours having deep conversations that really were quite incoherent. Traveling to a high building to luckily see a marked van they take a sip from a water cooler and admire artwork. They both run to the van for clues...no one volunteers to keep watch as a super group of sprinting zombies make their way to the bridge. Their solution...tip over a van that would have never been able to be tilted in the first place. Luckily, they walk away unharmed, except for some belt burns.

Funny how the group's weapons always seem to miraculously return to them. Guess it must be so something to do with their action figure contracts.

Not to mention, there are DEAD PEOPLE WALKING AROUND. :rotfl2:

I don't think the abandoned cars were off the highway. It was the lanes leading out of the city were all the cars were on the highway, not the lanes going in. It was dark, but it looked to me like they were still all there.
And if they hadn't followed that car right then, they would not have seen it again.
The van thing, yeah, that was a little bit ridiculous, but it doesn't bother me LOL.

The cars were like that in the beginning of the series. It is because nobody was going into the city only out. They had to drive on the incoming lanes one other time when they were in the city, but can't remember the episode/season. That makes sense to me and even the following the car I get. Stay together/stay alive goes out the window when one of your group has been kidnapped. Daryl loves Beth(sister or more than that I am not sure) and feels responsible for her. He'd go get her alone. The car falling in a perfect way with minimal injuries is more than far fetched, but like another poster said it is a show about dead people walking around. They wanted to put two popular characters in peril you were not sure they could escape from...it isn't the first or last time something unbelievable will happen. It comes with the territory when watching a sci/fi show.

ETA that it might have been Glen..I think he was driving a sports car that was later revealed to be a nod to Breaking Bad b/c it was the same car Walt blew up.

It was Glen, in the red car, having a heck of a time!:) Followed by Rick and the others in the big truck.
I know that's why the cars were on the highway, I was just saying I think they were still there last night, in response to someone else saying all the abandoned cars had been moved off the highway.

Yes...I agree with you. I didn't make that clear when I quoted you. Still not enough coffee flowing through the pipes:surfweb:

I probably should have quoted the other person and not you;)

LOL, I'm trying to get enough tea in my veins as well this morning!!

Or, the cars been off that side of the highway for awhile now...like since the very first episode. ;)
