The walking dead amc #2

The only thing that bothered me was all of Daryl's one liners. He had a bunch & it got annoying.

Or, the cars been off that side of the highway for awhile now...like since the very first episode. ;)

If everyone was fleeing the city, wouldn't they have used BOTH sides of the highway? That's what they do here when there's a hurricane evacuation.

They could have been using one side to get military/police in and out of the city, since it was under siege from an epidemic and there were plenty of people still in the city.

Last night was better. I know it's a zombie show and I don't really know how people would react in that situation. But there are so many scenes that are unbelievable that it just takes you out of story. Carol and Daryl going off alone is the first. What happened to stay together, stay alive? Then they follow a car in complete darkness to Atlanta where all the abandoned cars have now neatly been moved off the highway.

Luckily they pull over by Carol's safe house where they can spend hours having deep conversations that really were quite incoherent. Traveling to a high building to luckily see a marked van they take a sip from a water cooler and admire artwork. They both run to the van for clues...no one volunteers to keep watch as a super group of sprinting zombies make their way to the bridge. Their solution...tip over a van that would have never been able to be tilted in the first place. Luckily, they walk away unharmed, except for some belt burns.

Funny how the group's weapons always seem to miraculously return to them. Guess it must be so something to do with their action figure contracts.

I agree with a lot of this, it got really annoying when both Carol and Daryl got into the van dangling perilously (yet confusingly) from the bridge while a herd of walkers is coming from both sides. I was saying "yes this is smart, let's both get in the dangling van, no one should keep watch, we're ok here, not a zombie apocalypse or anything. keep watch at the back of the van? preposterous!". Also I may be in the minority here but I don't sense any sexual tension between Daryl and Carol, tension of some kind maybe but not sexual. I didn't get that between him and Beth either.

At this point in the season I miss Rick and Michonne.

Agree with the previous poster, simple fix, don't watch the Talking Dead. We love watching.
It seems maybe you might need a break from TWD also.

No, I don't like all the deep character studies in The WALKING Dead. Can't they just be themselves without all the flashbacks. Reminds me of Dr. Evil in Austin Powers and all his "daddy issues." Who cares. I'm all about the plot- no whining allowed.

Keep watch from what? The city is infested with walkers, and there were never not going to be walkers on the bridge. The best they could hope for was to get in and out quickly and fight their way out with what they had - which was not much since Noah had stolen their weapons. They got swarmed faster than they could fight their way out, and the only choice was to get in the van.

The van landing on the wheels with a minimum of injuries was the most unbelievable part...but between the dead people walking around, the lawns that are barely overgrown, Abraham maintaining a handlebar mustache, Carl aging five years over a two-year story span, and Glenn's lack of facial hair nearly two years into a zombie apocalypse...I'm willing to add the van to the pile of things we can just let go for the sake of TV. :p

Yeah the whole van thing was a little far fetched in my opinion. But it was still good because it had my two favorite characters.

I didn't hate last night's episode (like I have the last 2) because it had our beloved Daryl and Carol. But man, let's get this party started!! The season started off SO great, and now I feel like we're back at the farm. Ugh.

And as far as tension between Daryl and Carol? I sense zero. But I do see an absolutely perfect relationship where much can be left unsaid. There's a perfect comfort between them. It's as if they have known each other for years and years. I like it.

I think they are a perfect couple. Perfect. :lovestruc

I found this link via FB, thought it was interesting. Sharing it with you guys!!

Really liked this week's episode!! Although I do miss the group together. I have a feeling that it is a huge buildup to the mid-season finale, all H breaking loose at the hospital. You know there will probably be a cliffhanger. Wondering if someone lives or dies. And we won't find out until NEXT YEAR :headache:

I absolutely LOVE The Talking Dead. I enjoy all the guests that they have on. Well, except Marilyn Manson. That's an hour of my life that I will never get back :hippie::hippie::hippie:

Only 2 episodes left :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I was surprised to learn the book about abuse survivors from childhood fell out of Daryls bag, I thought it was carols.

I must have missed something. Who was the body Daryl was burning?

There were 2 walkers at the door of the safe house and one was a kid walker that carol didn't want to have to terminate and Daryl told her she didn't have to and he took care of it. It's a first time in a while that Carol didn't HAVE to take care of EVERYTHING.

It was Glen, in the red car, having a heck of a time!:) Followed by Rick and the others in the big truck.
I know that's why the cars were on the highway, I was just saying I think they were still there last night, in response to someone else saying all the abandoned cars had been moved off the highway.
The red car was not Glenn's car that he was driving when he went back to the camp with Rick and the others in the truck. The red car in this episode was some eco boring 4 door. Glenn had a Dodge Challenger that he went back to camp with where they scavenged a hose off of for Dale's camper. The Dodge was left at the camp.

Glenn drove the Challenger, to distract the walkers when Rick picked up Andrea and all the others, minus Merle, at the loading dock. He drove that out of Atlanta back to camp, while Rick drove everyone else back in the truck.

Isn't that pretty much what I said? Thanks for correcting me :confused3

Did you guys see the tank from episode one, when they drove in the city? I see someone took a screen shot, somehow I missed that. I was looking for it, but didn't see it.

I didn't recall seeing it during the show but saw it later on a site about things you missed on WD or something like that. It was referring to the tank that Rick got trapped inside of in season one. But the tank from this past Sunday looked to be in a different location and if you think about it if something like this did happen there would be lots of tanks around.

I like this episode, but it moved a bit slowly. I think they are just setting the stage for the final 2, which will hopefully, be action packed.

Surprised that Tyrese is going back to the hospital with Daryl and the others to get Beth out. He has been so hesitant when it comes to killing anyone, let alone walkers. Is he going to be able to kill the cops with a clear concise or is he going to be a liability?

The van doing a 360 off that small drop? Yeah, totally unbelievable. It would have landed on it's roof, not it's wheels. :rotfl2: We couldn't have that though. Daryl and Carol would have really been hurt if the van falling was a bit more realistic.
