Or, the cars been off that side of the highway for awhile now...like since the very first episode.

If everyone was fleeing the city, wouldn't they have used BOTH sides of the highway? That's what they do here when there's a hurricane evacuation.
Last night was better. I know it's a zombie show and I don't really know how people would react in that situation. But there are so many scenes that are unbelievable that it just takes you out of story. Carol and Daryl going off alone is the first. What happened to stay together, stay alive? Then they follow a car in complete darkness to Atlanta where all the abandoned cars have now neatly been moved off the highway.
Luckily they pull over by Carol's safe house where they can spend hours having deep conversations that really were quite incoherent. Traveling to a high building to luckily see a marked van they take a sip from a water cooler and admire artwork. They both run to the van for clues...no one volunteers to keep watch as a super group of sprinting zombies make their way to the bridge. Their solution...tip over a van that would have never been able to be tilted in the first place. Luckily, they walk away unharmed, except for some belt burns.
Funny how the group's weapons always seem to miraculously return to them. Guess it must be so something to do with their action figure contracts.
Agree with the previous poster, simple fix, don't watch the Talking Dead. We love watching.
It seems maybe you might need a break from TWD also.
I agree with a lot of this, it got really annoying when both Carol and Daryl got into the van dangling perilously (yet confusingly) from the bridge while a herd of walkers is coming from both sides. I was saying "yes this is smart, let's both get in the dangling van, no one should keep watch, we're ok here, not a zombie apocalypse or anything. keep watch at the back of the van? preposterous!". Also I may be in the minority here but I don't sense any sexual tension between Daryl and Carol, tension of some kind maybe but not sexual. I didn't get that between him and Beth either.
At this point in the season I miss Rick and Michonne.
I must have missed something. Who was the body Daryl was burning?

The red car was not Glenn's car that he was driving when he went back to the camp with Rick and the others in the truck. The red car in this episode was some eco boring 4 door. Glenn had a Dodge Challenger that he went back to camp with where they scavenged a hose off of for Dale's camper. The Dodge was left at the camp.It was Glen, in the red car, having a heck of a time!Followed by Rick and the others in the big truck.
I know that's why the cars were on the highway, I was just saying I think they were still there last night, in response to someone else saying all the abandoned cars had been moved off the highway.

Isn't that pretty much what I said? Thanks for correcting meGlenn drove the Challenger, to distract the walkers when Rick picked up Andrea and all the others, minus Merle, at the loading dock. He drove that out of Atlanta back to camp, while Rick drove everyone else back in the truck.
Did you guys see the tank from episode one, when they drove in the city? I see someone took a screen shot, somehow I missed that. I was looking for it, but didn't see it.
