The walking dead amc #2

I gotta say though, with Eugenes knowledge of biological warfare, I think he could be the inside man to make he war happen in Alexandria's favor. Just imagine with HIS creations he could destroy Negan from the inside either slowly or quickly.

Does anyone think Dwight actually killed Sherry? I wouldn't think he would, but then he has to realize if Negan finds her he'll kill Dwight, why would Dwight risk that. If Dwight didn't kill her, why go back to the Saviors, say he killed her and risk Negan finding her. I'm not sure she can actually get away without being found. Like last time when they ran away, Negan found them.

Sad when the Talking Dead episode was way more entertaining than the Walking Dead episode. Great TD tonight.

I don't think Dwight would have hurt Sherry, even if she had been there. When he took the pretzels and beer out, I got the feeling he was leaving them in case she came back. I think he is going to leave the Saviors and is just biding his time. Maybe now that Eugene is there, they will hook up and escape together.

Ugh. What an episode. I hope sherry is dead because Dwight is not to be trusted. I hope he dies sooner than Negan.

I think Dwight had every intention of running away with Sherry, that is why he had beer and pretzels. They talked about it on the TD, how he was going to run away with her but she left that note basically telling him goodbye. Lord help her and Dwight if Negan finds her. I also worry about Negan finding Maggie too. She is supposed to be dead too.

No way Dwight killed her. He left that food for her. I've thought from the beginning that they will eventually gear up to have Dwight turn against Negan and help the gang defeat him.

I agree, Dwight didn't kill her. I thought he said that so that no one would continue looking for her and in turn, it would give her a chance to get further away. In Sherry's letter to Dwight, she said that her and Dwight had an agreement that when the whole thing started that if they ever got separated, that they would meet back at that house and he would bring beer and pretzels. So he left the beer and pretzels as representation of that, and so that Sherry would know he came for her if she ever returned to the house again. Personally, I think Dwight is getting fed up with Negan and the Saviors and may eventually turn on them, so I don’t think he cares too much about his fate if Negan ever finds Sherry alive.

this is the direction I thought they were going with too. If anyone has reason to rise up against Negan, it's Dwight.

I was horrified when Dwight fed the doctor to Negan like that, but as awful as that move was, I feel like he's just doing what he has to do to make it until he finds a way out. I want to hate him, but I still feel so, so bad for him. He has to be ice cold or he'd have been dead a long time ago. I think it's just survival instinct at this point, and morality is off the table. I'm holding out for him to rally against Negan in the end.

If Eugene has indeed flipped sides for "safety", stuffed animals, and pickles, I hope Rosita and all her angst gets to be the one to finish him off.

Eugene knows just what he is. One of Negans wives called Eugene a coward and he said something like, "That assessment is correct." He knows he is going to cave in and be loyal to Negan to avoid being killed. Not like Darryl who was fighting and not bowing down to Negan.

ETA-oops, wrote Dwight in my post, meant to type Darryl.

So funny re: Eugene... we were joking ahead of time that he will "become Negan" faster than any Savior in history! :rotfl:

We think it's a ruse... biding his time until Rick et al rise up and he can help from inside. Look at that little smirk after he gives Negan that idea re: smelting the walkers...

I fully agree. I believe he's a coward and traitor. I think Eugene is a waste of space. He said on TD last night that he's asked the writers not to tell him if he's truly flipped or is playing along for safety, so there's always a small chance he's not as worthless as I think he is. And if my opinion holds true, I hope Rosita takes him out.

To play devil's advocate, Rosita has constantly called him a coward, but then he tried to learn to fight and be useful...so I suppose there's the tiniest chance that he knows everyone figures him for a coward, and if he can play this off, he can prove that he isn't.

I've always said he's the one character I would not be sad to see go, because he is such a liability. Curious to see what will become of him.

If Eugene figured out the wives wanted him to make the pills for Negan rather than Amber, then I have to wonder why Eugene made the pills at all. Will he save them and use them to his own advantage? And if so, why not just let the wives do the dirty work? Or will he offer the pills up to Negan as a service to him? I guess time will tell!

I don't think Eugene figured out they wanted the pills for Negan until Eugene witnessed what Negan did to the doctor. I think then Eugene figured out everyone in there is going to want to kill Negan. Why Eugene just didn't let them do the dirty work, is probably because he was afraid it would backfire and who else could have made the pills but him. The bottom line is Eugene is a coward, but I'm holding out hope he is playing the coward card up a notch to make a move when the time is right.

The other thing, I can't believe Negan believed Dwight's lie about the doctor. It really made no sense. I'm wondering if Negan knows Dwight is lying, but wants Dwight to let his guard down so Negan will be able to find Sherry.

I was wondering this, too!

major what if......
What if sherry's pregnancy test WASNT negative? What if Dr Carson made it go away? What if Dwight found out and believed it to be his and wanted to exact revenge? That's what makes me wondering.

I agree.

Eugene is a coward but that doesn't make him stupid. I actually think he has more sense than a lot of them - including Rick's group. He is logical and practical, he knew what would go down when dopey Rosita wanted a bullet. I think he knew exactly what the wives wanted but again got sucked into it. I think he's a man biding his time to help bring down Negan by using the resources available to him (his knowledge, and gift of the gab).

Negan on the other hand is stupid, as are his wing men. Eventually dictators are brought undone by their own people if history is anything to go by.
