The walking dead amc #2

I thought they knew about them being with the hilltop people since they kept blocking them from going to see them when they were trying to take Maggie up there?

This is what I thought as well. I thought they somehow knew they were trying to get Maggie to the Hilltop.

Doesn't seem to be much activity in that thread. Would it be that difficult to simply use the spoiler button when discussing the comics?
I don't disagree with you, I also don't read the comics. But as I understand it, the show doesn't necessarily follow the comics, even on large story elements, so I don't know why people keep referring to "well in the comics it says blah blah blah".

I think people like to compare the two since it can be interesting to see how they make the comics come to life. It is interesting to see how they portray certain characters and what they do differently with the story lines.

I don't read the comics, but I do find it fun to see what direction the comics go vs. the direction the show is going. I have been know to throw out a question or two to the comic book readers to see if the writers are following or not. It's like the comic readers have an "inside scoop" but they really don't since the show does not follow them completely, and I think that is why people don't consider comic info as spoilers. I have no problem if people want comic stuff in the spoiler button format though.

On my tablet...don't see a spolier button...and have been having trouble with the Dis freezing and being wonky so it takes forever to post one sentence.

someone posted a couple of pages back what Negans former profession was.

Kirkman now has his back, story in short comics, Here's Negan. You can find them on Amazon.

I know the comics dives into backstories, I was speaking more from the tv show standpoint only. The show itself doesn't dig too much into anyone's backstories. A character will say a brief statement on their past life but never really dig into it. It would build better character development on the show.
Not referencing the comics in my prior statement, completely know how they tackle the backstory.

Nobody kills him. I have said it a million times. You just don't want to believe. Though I'd like Rick to do it...as he promissed.

It's weird because I know he's still alive in the comic books, but I did a search last season about him and read that Rick stabs him to death eventually. I thought that was in the comic books until I found out he's still alive.

(I like what you wrote). I will just say that I wish Kirkman would get out some more comics. Like I wish GRR Martin would get to writing.

I think GOT has given up on Martin. They are already past his books and writing their own stories, and the next season will be the last, so he's out of a job so to speak.

In all fairness, some people on this thread may not know the spoiler button exists or even realize that comic references bother some folks, since comic references are really not spoilers. The originator of this thread should post the request to use the spoiler button in the rules of the first post, and enforce that throughout the thread. That doesn't occur, so there will always be people who are new to the thread who don't realize it. This conversation comes up every so often, and it will probably be the same going forward.

I just always figure that when I come on here to read the day after an episode, there will be spoilers because everyone is talking about the previous night's episode.

This is not a spoiler I read, but was talking to a friend of mine and she thinks the grave was filled with guns. That maybe Rick and Father Gabriel suspected Negan would come early and would take their guns, so they planned ahead. Would explain why Rick gave him Michonne's gun, just to make it look like he was doing it out of good faith. Really the only chance they have of defeating Negan is to have Negan let his guard down, let him get cocky that he won, and a way for that to happen is to make him think they are totally defeated, they are willing to do whatever he says, meanwhile they are just waiting for the right moment to attack.

Just think how Rick's group got overtaken, it was when they let their guard down, when they got too cocky that they were invincible.

I really hope this is true! Brilliant if they put the guns in here but what about the log? Why wouldn't they have destroyed it? What's the point in the log, anyway, at least when it comes to Neegan possibly finding it. They should have noticed two guns missing on that log. So, why weren't the guns they supposedly buried in that log? So many questions. That's why I think maybe they are not buried in there.

my hope is that they DO NOT follow the comics and don't keep Negan around as long LOL

I was thinking about the log too. Remember this is just days later we are seeing, so if they did in fact bury the guns it would have been quick and chaotic. Spencer after hearing what happened decided to grab a couple and no one noticed because they just didn't have time to go over the log. Again, pure speculation on my friend's part, but I thought it was a good theory lol.

I am also guessing the log was from before our group arrived at Alexandria and the guns they brought are not in the log. Maybe the log did get updated but they tore out that update and buried the guns they brought in with them...and the gun Michonne had was one of those that did not get buried (she hid it in the chimney as we saw).

Good theory, Michonne could have swiped a gun when they were burying them, knowing it wouldn't be missed, and then dingbat Spenser takes a couple of guns that were on the log unbeknownst to everyone.

Ok, a friend of mine just showed this to me. This is a real life POW of the Vietnam wa, where he was forced to give a press conference saying he was being treated well. Meanwhile he blinked in morse code "torture". Hmmmm, did the writers of TWD see this video as well:

Everyone heard about that

The video was wide spread on news stations once it was released

It's been many years ago when it happened

the only thing I am pretty sure from the Father Gabriel convo when searching Spencer's house Rick said he was surprised by the grave. I'm gonna have to watch that again.
