The WALDORF ASTORIA ORLANDO and HILTON BONNET CREEK Information Thread

I Haven't actually taken the Waldorf Shuttle, But I can tell you that it would drop off at the off-site Shuttle areas.

For the MK, this would be at the old Bus depot at the TTC (Behind the TTC bathroom/offices/Guest Relations building and the old Kennel location... pretty much straight ahead and to the right of the parking Lot Tram route under the bridge from the parking lot.)

For the Other parks, The Offsite shuttle locations are pretty much right behind the Onsite-Shuttle locations.

Great thank you :thumbsup2

When taking the shuttles to the MK, do they stop at other parks first or do they go right to MK?

Depends on whihc shuttle you get on. There's a MK one that runs every 30 minutes. For the other parks, it's once an hour. whether the MK one goes anywhere else depends on the time of day form what I recall. Soemtimes it was only MK. I remember once, after we left MK, we went to AK, then HS, then bakc to the hotel.

They will give you a paper schedule when you get there. The way the times are lined up on it, you cna figure out if the bus stops anywhere else or not.

Here's the online schedule (date/times are updated each week) :

Just got back from our anniversary weekend and we had a blast. We didn't have a great experience last time and got a comp night. We had the best time. Weather was perfect and when we got back to the room at night they had champagne and chocolate covered strawberry's set up with a nice card from the front desk. Totally was not expecting that. All in all, the pool was awesome and had just an overall great weekend!

Good to hear! DH and I have a getaway there this coming weekend and are looking forward to it!

Just an observation, but I've noticed lately there are many dates that the Waldorf is actually cheaper than the Hilton BC. There are several dates this month that are around $150 at the Waldorf - a pretty good deal really.

We returned from a 7-27-7/30 stay here (just Dh and I) and had a great time. We didn't do any parks as it was a weekend getaway, but we did go to the Boardwalk area and Downtown Disney.

The grounds are beautiful. I walked at least one morning and it is quiet and safe to walk their "jogging trail" around both Hilton and Waldorf. We swam one morning, but were up too early to rent a tube to go around the lazy river (they open at 9) and were too busy the rest of the time to take advantage again. We did spend part of an evening on the outside patio outside their bar area. We brought our own drink and they didn't seem bothered at all. A waitress asked us if we wanted anything from their bar but had no problem with our declining.

The room is very nice and spacious with a large bathroom, plenty of storage, and plenty of "floor space" to get around. My only 2 complaints with the room were that 1) our refrigerator froze everything (and we couldn't find how to adjust it) and 2) the doors are very loud when they close so if you're a light sleeper, it is annoying. We tried to close our own door quietly and it's impossible so we couldn't blame the people closing the doors.

If it's worth it for you to see the fireworks from your room, pay the extra for the Disney facing view. We had a view of Downtown Disney and it took me a while to find what part of the building you could get a clear view of Epcot from. It's not a large area, so you definitely need to ask for it (and probably pay for it). For us, it wasn't a big deal. We could see the highest fireworks from the patio area outside the bar.

There was a large blend of people staying there from conventioners to families to couples like us. Although there were plenty of people it seemed relatively quiet. You still get the occasional kid yelling down the hallway, but that's to be expected at Disney.

The shuttles were nice. The main problem is if you're going to Hollywood Studios as the shuttle goes to both Magic Kingdom AND Epcot before Hollywood Studios. We took the shuttle to HS so we could take the ferry to the boardwalk area (so we could have some adult beverages) and it took almost an hour to get to HS. However, the service to MK was quick on the way there (but they'd have the same long way back to the hotel as they are the first to be picked up going back). Epcot is the 2nd stop, so a bit of a long ride. Animal Kingdom appeared to have its own shuttle but I don't know for sure as we never went in that direction.

Overall, a very nice stay. A great "deluxe" option. I checked the price for a weekend in October when we are planning to do Epcot Food and Wine Festival...but for that particular weekend, we are better off at the Swan and Dolphin as Hilton's prices exceeded the teacher rate we get at S&D by a good $60-70/night. I think it depends on the time of year as far as price- you have to check around.

Thank you for posting your review! I'm going to add a link to your review on the first page:)

I need their address, because Bull and Bear was some of the best steaks I have ever had OUTSIDE of Texas.

Hi there! Yes, I am really interested in opinions/input/suggestions about this Bull and Bear Restaurant at the Waldorf.

They don't have any specials or anything do they? I know Ruth Chris occassionally does and so does Shula's.

How much are steaks there? Are they comparable to the Shula prices?

thanks once again!

I stayed there about 2 years ago...it was a last minute deal , I think the rooms where $189 a night, we had a massive suite 1 bedroom I think...

I think though regularly the rooms are $500 and up...and like I read on this thread...a disney $500 hotel cant even compare....

in you need something they are there in a minute, they greet you by name when they see you waling in the hallway...

the waiters and food was top notch....

I probably would only stay there again if I got a good deal ( $$$) , because I rather spend my money on other things than a nice hotel room...

The Bull and The Bear is definitely a high end steak house and 100% better than Ruth Chris. It is my favorite at Disney. I have also eaten at Shula's. I think the prices are comparable, but B&B will be slightly more. I really enjoyed Shula's but I felt B & B to be just a cut above. Maybe because Shula's is a huge restaurant and B & B is a bit smaller so I felt it was quieter. I think the servers are better but that is because we have been so many times to B & B they started to recognize us. I personally thought the quality was just a bit better at B&B. The side dishes in particular. You can't go wrong with either however if you ask me I say Bull and Bear, especially if you are staying at the Waldorf or Hilton then you don't have to drive.

hello lovely helpful people... I assume if you're staying at one hotel you can use the pool of the other one? is it more than a 10-15 minutes walk from one pool to the other? It's a long shot but are any of you vegetarians do you know if the restaurants do any veggie choices? Debs xxx

Yes you can use both pools, and walk in 5-10 minutes... Can't help with your other question.
