The WALDORF ASTORIA ORLANDO and HILTON BONNET CREEK Information Thread

2) We are thinking about renting a cabana for one of the days. Has anyone done this? is it worth it? Any photos?

Thanks so much
Debsx:hug:

No photos, but we have reserved a cabana several times and just loved it! The service has always been extremely attentive, even going so far as to allow us to order menu items from other hotel restaurants. If you reserve ahead of time, they even have a sign with your name outside your cabana.

The cabanas all have a television with either satellite or cable (can't remember), towels, and seating for 5 or 6. Complimentary snack items included a pitcher of non-alcoholic mojitos, an assortment of soft drinks and water, and a delicious fruit tray.

Ohhhh I want to go back right now!

Thank you so much, I am very tempted by a Cabana!
What a great deal you got on the suite, I hope we are offered something similar! Would love to see your photos!

I will also tell you that we received an eupgrade at the Waldorf in New Orleans (the totally renovated historic Fairmont/ Roosevelt hotel in the CBD) in December 2010 to a very nice suite.

Again, it was only a one night stay when we were attending the college graduation event weekend for my best friend's son.

I guess Hilton owns the Waldorf collection hotels. I booked with my Hilton Honors number and received the email to do the upgrade.

Both the Orlando and New Orleans upgrades were very good deals.

Does anyone know what is going on the night of June 3 checking out June 4?

Have a two-night reservation and need the night of the 3rd. Have called repeatedly to no avail. No availability at WA either. Do Not want to stay at other Hiltons.

Any suggestions on who to contact would be great. TIA:goodvibes:goodvibes

We are staying at HBC in August for a few nights before moving to OKW. I think I read earlier in the thread that there are no mini-fridges in HBC rooms. Is this still the case? Can you pay extra to rent one?

What about microwaves? If there isn't one in the room is there one in any of the restaurants that guests can use?

Thanks folks:thumbsup2

RE: Fridge/Microwave, we were able to request the fridge but I don't recall a microwave. I believe they have a microwave in the cafe located by Harvest Bistro.

There was a fridge in my HBC room when I stayed there last year. I did not pay any extra for it. Maybe the guests before me asked for one and they forgot to remove it???

Maybe all rooms have fridges now. We've never paid extra for this request either.

During our first stay in December 2009, only limited rooms had a fridge so it was by request only. Ever since then, we always put that request in our comments of the reservation.

We are staying at HBC at the end of June and was wondering about the mini fridge as well. I checked the accomodations listing on my reservation and it lists the mini fridge as included in the rooms.:thumbsup2
