I am so happy it's almost 5:00!

Weather permitting, I might be driving to see my Grandma. She's not doing any better. In fact, she's completely catatonic.

My cousin (the one I am close to) said she'd ride with me tonight. Mike is working til 7 and visiting hours are til 8. It will take us at least 40 minutes to get there unfortunately. So I won't be around at all tonight if we do go. I really feel like I should. But part of me is so worried because I don't want to see her that way. I think I will end up crying and I don't want to do that in front of her.

I will let y'all know if we decide to go

I hope you do get to go see her. I understand why you wouldn't want to go in case you cry in front of her. You want to be strong for her for sure. I'm sure it will be hard to see her like that but maybe with more family surrounding her it will help pull her out of it. That really stinks that she's still like that. I'm really sorry girl!!

that's exactly what I was thinking....my cousin and I haven't seen her in a while so maybe it will help. My other cousin (the prego one) and her stepsister went to see her today, and she was still unresponsive.

I'm just glad I don't have to drive all the way down there myself.

Good morning everyone

We are back from our trip to the beach. Well we never made it to the beach. We started out at the waterpark and had a great day. The next morning was a wander around town, shop, eat dinner day and we didn't make it. DD woke up throwing up. High fever soon followed. We attempted to go out mid day because she had stopped throwing up and wanted to go but didn't work. So back to the hotel room with tv and take out. I tried to convince DH to stay an extra day but no dice. She is better now --- seems it was a 24 hour bug. I think she caught something at the water park.

I will attempt to catch up a little later. I think I am going to take DD to the mall to get school clothes and cheer her up.

So, I mentioned quite a few posts ago that I want to do my kitchen in Mickey. It is currently done in apples which I like but I'm just tired of it and need a change. Anywho...I hopped onto Disney Direct and was looking at the M Mouse Collection and fell in love with it I've always wanted to have a Fiestaware collection and the M Mouse collection looks like Fiestaware but with Mickey!!! So, the color I was looking at is all on sale! It's called Atta Boy Blue! My kitchen counters are blue (not by my choice) and this looks like it will go PERFECT. I've had my cart filled for 3 days and finally hit the purchase button today Here are the things I got!!!

I think this will be a great start! I already have a Mickey platter and napkin holder!!!

I love that color and fact that it is Mickey, makes it double awesome

I dropped off my car this morning for the repairs and I got a PT Cruiser! I love those cars so I'm happy!!! DD and I are heading to the library and then to Sonic for lunch. Tat will be happy that I am continuing my educational activities

well, I hope so. She's completely unresponsive to anyone. I have NEVER in my life seen anyone like that. So I don't know how I'm going to take it. My mom said she just goes up and talks to her as if she can hear---even though we really don't know if she's hearing her or not. She's in a strange state of mind right now. I'm hoping to maybe get to talk to the doctor or at least the nurses about her to gain some type of insight. I just wish they could do SOMETHING but they say it's a waiting game right now.

well she won't be pregnant when they get married.

Oh and she started texting me the other day asking me about Disney....like she couldn't freaking look the stuff up herself. She asked when she can book. I told her whenever. She said online it would only let til December of this year. I said well then call but you'll need $200.00.

So apparently they are going to WDW for their honeymoon. And leaving a 7 month old behind with my aunt and uncle (her parents)



BTW I think I'll get a dress that will show off my tattoo....she'll LOVE that



well he's got rose-colored glasses on. She can do no wrong in his eyes. He just wanted someone to love and he ended up with someone he's infatuated with who he thinks loves him. But she's a user.
He has changed ever since he met her. It's so sad.
The name thing was about his FIRST name. They're naming the son after him...so it will be a Junior. The spelling of his name on his birth certificate is different than what he has been using all his life. I have no idea why. Apparently the spelling on the BC is the same as his grandpa...but SHE wants him to change it so he's changing it. And yes, I think he needs to grow a pair...Mike has told him that NUMEROUS times but he doesn't give a crap what any of his friends and family think. He's got her up on a pedestal even though she hates his whole family and I WISH I could tell him exactly what she says about them behind their/his back. If/when they ever break up, he'll be floored when I tell him all about it. I'm too nice to say anything now.
And truthfully it won't make a difference...unless he takes off those glasses for once.

Oh yeah and I'm not chipping in on anything. I plan on going to Walmart and getting something VERY practical for the baby shower gift.

Oh they live together btw. They have been living together since week 2 of their relationship. again...

Mike and I decided we're going to get totally SMASHED at their wedding, and during the reception, preferably during the pictures we are gonna "disappear for a few minutes"

Wait, she has a 7 month old too? I take it she's a slow learner! So she's looking for someone to take care of her 7 month old too then and she found the sucker to do it. Poor guy being infatuated is not love and when that infatuation wears off he's going to be one sorry man!!!

What a shame she talks bad about his family, she will slowly pull him away from them I am sure and that is sad. She won't be real obvious about it, like I dont' want you going over there or something, just little things that she'll conveniently plan something else so he can't go there and she'll make things up about them and slowly make him believe them or at least have some qualms about them and eventually she will pull him away from his family. I wish he could see the light before it's too late!

I would totally look borderline trashy for the wedding, get a dress in her color but make it a corset top, let your tatoo show and wear heavy make up and you and Mike disappear a lot, lol.

Hey Cheri.....Wonder Works is Central Florida's only upside down attaction. An amusement park for the mind, featuring over 100 interactive exhibits for the entire family. Can you tell I copied and pasted that, lol?

I didn't know that about the Ft. Wilderness Cabins, that was very knowledgeable of you, lol, thanks!!!

I think you would make a great Alice!!!! I think the interview went okay but they did not have any positions right now but I am now on the list. I did, however get a temp position through the temp agency I signed up with two days ago. They sent me for an interview today and the lady liked me a lot right off and said she didn't need to interview anyone else, she wanted me so I go in for 3 hours Friday and then start Monday!!! it's right across the street from Sea World so it's 17 miles from where we are living and the pay rate is excellent for a starting salary!

oh by the way, Grandma isn't doing so well.

She is not talking. Mom said she was tryin to talk to her but nothing was coming out. And one of her eyes was dilated. They did a CAT Scan tonight and were SUPPOSED to have the results but apparently the radiologist left for the day before they could get it read or something...

I will find out what the results are in the morning.

She also hasn't been eating and therefore had to be given a feeding tube.

I'm really worried about her and have been trying not to think about it but I figured I would update y'all. I'm not going to put an update on my thread(s) til I find out about the scan in the morning.

If it's something bad I will leave work early and go down there to the hospital. I haven't visited her in a while and now I feel terrible!

Aww Cheri I am so sorry. I know how upsetting this is to watched someone you love get so ill and to see them deteriorate. I hope the results are not as bad as you are expecting. I'm sure as I read I will find out the results but just know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Don't beat yourself up about not being there to see her recently, just go now and spend time with her. I truly believe in my heart that the very ill know you are there whether they respond to you or not. She will be very happy inside to know you are there. Just talk to her as though she were awake, tell her things, and talk normally, dont' cry and show how upset you are. No matte rwhat the results are, good or bad, you need to go see her for yourself if nothing else.

Thank you Kelly....on top of it all, the cop that hit her is going to sue. He had to be speeding...but he's a cop and knows he can say it was all her fault.

OH Cheri that is just nuts. Why is he being such a jerk, right now whether it was her fault or not should not matter. She's in critical condition and he isn't, he should be thankful that he's not. I'm sure he was speeding and is partially at fault also. That is just wrong!

Well, the CAT scan came back normal. They are just going to "wait and see" what happens. I guess there are no other tests to run. Mom says it seems like there's something wrong with her throat. She was complaining of her throat hurting a few days ago. They must have done something when they cut her for the neck surgery....my Mom said they had to cut her neck in the back and front.

I just wish there was something I could do.

Just pray for her, go there and visit and let her know you are there for her, hold her hand and talk to her, that will help more than you know.

Thanks Michelle. I did okay with the interview but they have no positions right now, they still interview and then keep your applications until a position opens. You have to call every 30 days though if they don't call you, tht way they know you are still interested.
