Based on the layout of DL, it's probably not as important to be on-site...but if you stay on-site all the time anyway...who knows? maybe it would work out.

No prob! Good luck in your decision. You can always rent points from someone to check it all out for yourself first.

Pink Princess room...Nice...we will want to see pics of that pretty please:cutie:

The painting project will be from time to time, being that we are probably repainting every room.
Pictures of the house now will have to wait till the cable guy comes out and wall fishes us a new cable line in our bedroom so we can set up our desktop (outlet in master is dead). Right now we are living on our laptops, better than nothing I say. I think I was going thru withdrawls last week

Kind of like Rocky Horror Picture Show. Fun, but much more fun with a couple of drinks in you.:goodvibes

Exactly:cool1:

We are not picky, we will take pics of anything :rotfl2:

hehe :) yeah I thought it was appropriate.

Glad you are back...we've missed you!!

Glad you had fun with your mom though!

Thanks Carla! It's nice to be back :goodvibes

Sounds like a great week Betsy! Miss you too!

Thanks Michele! Missed you too

Having a son I can totally relate to the hungry thundering herd. And I only have one. He is 12 today, my baby is growing up. Feed your hungry sweety's. I figure what I will do to Scotty is slip in the visit to check out the DVC stands and stuff at Disneyland while we are there.

Happy Bday to Loren :wizard: Hope that he had a great day!!!

Yep, just casually walk him to the DVC stand ;)

Betsy -- sorry I didn't realize you bought DVC -- woo hoo!!!! Have you gone yet? Is it VWL?

Hi Marshay :wave2: Yeppers, we bought DVC in Feb 2007. It was DD's first trip and after years of begging, DH caved when he saw how much she liked it :yay:

We have had 2 DVC visit so far to the VWL but our home is actually SSR. We like VWL because of the boat to the MK. Eventually we will stay at some of the others but for now we are enamored with VWL

I figure if I steer Scotty towards looking at the DVC booths in September maybe he will realize on his own what a great deal it is.

::yes::

Did you buy directly from Disney then? I was going to ask you and Betsy if you bought re-sale. I've been doing alot of research and now I'm even more confused and undecided!

Yes, we bought directly from DVC. My DH researched and decided to go through them. My first choice would have been VWL but we would have had to do that through resale (I think). But when we bought in SSR was our only choice. So far, that has not posed a problem because we have got our VWL request each time. I'm a little anxious for the CR because I might try to talk DH into that as a point add on. I think it would be awesome to have a monorail at a DVC resort!!!!

Yes, we bought direct from Disney. However, if money is the real thing, then you probably will be able to get it cheaper on resales, esp if you want one of the "original" resorts -- BCV, Bdwk, VWL, OKW...just remember those expire about 15 years sooner, so you have to balance the points with the years left.

You can even find SSR and AKV on resales, too.

You may find that just taking a smaller contract on the resales is a better way to go...then just take a trip every 3 years (bank and borrow your points so you can still stay a week)...then if you really like it, buy more points.

On the resale boards you can find contracts for few points (i.e., less money) which works well if you don't plan to go every year anyway.

Great advice Marshay :thumbsup2

:confused3 Geez I go and close on our new house, move (while fighting a nasty viral thing), have the kids start school (year round), lose internet service, get internet service turned on and come back here, find out you all moved too & get totally lost again
I think I need to get the Cliff Notes, a clue or something.

Wow, that sounds like a BUSY hectic time Tink! Nice to see you back! Any pics???

Hi Betsy! Glad you had a nice time with your Mom. We've missed you and are glad you are back!!!!

If Huey feels better tomorrow and we can still go to the party, we will defiitely have a camera!!! His belly hurts and he just isn't himself.

Hi MomMom! Good to see you! Aww, poor Huey, I hope he is doing better

Hawaii is a VERY long flight. We had to layover in Atlanta, then flew straight out from there and to give you an idea....we had 2 meals and a snack on that flight!

and did I mention that experience was my VERY FIRST one? Thankfully we had that little "hop" over to Atlanta so I could get a feel for flying before that long one. But still....

I cannot imagine that flight

Today is a day for me to travel down memory lane. I have been reading a thread a friend of my DH and I started on a forum he visits while I was sick last year. I should have stock in kleenex. To say that it is hitting me hard is an understatement.

Awww, it's wonderful you are in such a good place now!

There ya are... Glad you had a nice visit. We missed ya:hug:

Thanks.

DS not feeling himself. No fever, but just blah. He has to go, and his tummy hurts and he refuses to go and sit on the toilet at the moment.

So, not sure if there will be a party tmorrow night. We will see. IT does not start until 5:15pm tomorrow night. So, maybe this will pass by morning:wizard:

Missed you too Sharky

Poor little Huey. I sure hope he is feeling better. You know he would have a blast at the party! I hate to see them sick :sad2:

About closing --- :headache:
We were supposed to close on Wed. and start moving in that afternoon. Well the seller sat on her behind and didn't get the repairs finished till Tues. afternoon and since we were doing a VA loan the appraiser had to go out and make sure the repairs were done & get their report written and turned in to the lawyer by noon if we were to close the next day. That didn't happen and the next available time the lawyer had for us to close was Friday morning. So our realtor ( knowing that DH had requested leave time a month ago for us to move and had people lined up to help us on Thursday) asked the selling agent if we could still get the keys on Weds afternoon and start moving in on Thurs morning. Well long story short (yeah I know too late) seller was still moving out by the time we got there Thurs. morning for the walk thru  said they would be done with in an hour. So we went home and packed a trailer up with boxes and came back 3 hrs later and they were still finishing up :headache: They left 30 mins later and we went in.............................:scared1: OMG it was a disgusting mess. We spent a good 2 hrs vacuuming up dog hair ( it even was stuck on the baseboards) and what not, there were spider egg sacs in the kitchen cabinets & the ice dispenser had mold and crap in it (we bought a new fridge the next morning).
Let's just say it's been a very tiring experience and I'm glad we are finally done moving in.
Now is the fun part....................Unpacking :scared:

OMG Tink...that is horrible. Sounds like it's been interesting to say the least.

Hi Ladies...sorry I haven't been on much. Crazy here.

Trying to take the kids to see a High School Musical play put on by the local High School (Did that make sense?). Wish me luck. They just love High School Musical!

Have a great weekend!:thumbsup2

Hi OB! That sounds like fun!

Yes it's pink so it must be QM! It is!!! Huey commandeered my computer and I went to use his and it was giving me grief so I took Sharky's for a few minutes.

I hope you enjoyed the High School musical and the kids enoyed it as well.

I hope you have a great weekend too OB!!!!

Tomorrow I am going to meet my cousin and his wife from England for the first time ever!! They are in the states and in NJ because their daughter met a NJ man on an MS support site and they have visited each other many times and this past Sunday they got married and of course the parents were here for the wedding and they stayed to make a vacation of it. It was just dumb blind luck that DH treated me to a trip to NJ at the same time they are here!!! So tomorrow we meet for the first time and are going to take them around to see the house that my grandmother lived in when she immigrated here and then take them to the cemetery where the family is all buried. I don't kow what else they are interested in doing. Then tomorrow evening, if Huey feels better, we are taking him to Penny's daughter's party, so keep your fingers crossed....then Sunday is my last day here.......:sad2: and so I'll be packing, going over to DS's to check in for my flight and print out my boarding pass and then come back to Sharky's until it's time to go to the airport! It's been a great trip and I had a wonderful time here, as usual!!!

Thanks Betsy, Huey seems to be feeling better, I hope it lasts. We are hoping he keeps the pancakes in he just ate (no syrup or butter) and that he'll feel even better tomorrow. Hope he sleeps through the night!!!!

Goodnight girls! See you all tomorrow maybe.:goodvibes

Hi Betsy

I hate when they are sick, too. So helpless

He is feeling a lot better, went a teeny bit(sorry for TMI) and has been running around and playing for like 3 hours now

So, hope it has passed

:goodvibes

This is so weird quoting "myself", even though it was really my mom

She was using DS computer, but it kept timing out, so she used mine for a second to catch up and stayed logged on under me :rotfl:

So, have a good time tomorrow Me, I mean Mom :lmao:

Should I even try to catch up?

I'm leaving for VA again today. We're going to see the Lion King at the Kennedy Center!

My God, I was on page 39.

Yes everybody retire to FL, of course I'll be so old then I'll have to be Sophia (from the Golden Girls) or I'll be dead by then, :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: But you can all be the old blue hairs in Florida one day together, :lmao:
Aww, Sophia...:guilty:
I have your regular appoint penciled in Tat, you have an honor place on my Princess Couch. My couch is always open, LOL!!!! :rotfl:
I think I need it now. You know how they have those people on Maury who are scared stupid by stuff like balloons, pickles, or puppies? I think I have that abnormal fear of things (you know, like cows, horses, and bugs). Anyway, we had this HUGE (I'm talking like 2 inches long) centipede in our house when I came home from work. I was the only one home. I called Joe and asked him to come home and kill it. He wouldn't leave work, so I had to do it. I was literally almost in tears, it was on the wall, so I got out the bleach cleaner and started spraying the hell out of it. It fell off the wall, I ran away screaming. IT WAS STILL ALIVE! I came back and it was writhing around on the floor, so I drowned it in the bleach cleaner. Then I covered it with paper towels and put a note on it for Joe to pick it up when he came home. Luckily, we have white tile where I sprayed it, or I would have to buy new carpeting.
Hey Michele! Thank you, glad you like my couch, it's always open!!!!

I fish and I usually catch bigger fish than DH, but I don't bait my own hook and I don't take my fish off the hook, lol, DH says it's like taking a child fishing as he has to do it all for me :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Hey he wants me to fish with him so he has to suffer the consequences!!! :rotfl2:
That was a really awesome fish your DS caught! :thumbsup2
At least you go! I can't take my kids by myself because I don't do that stuff. Shane wants me to take them in September when we stay at Port Orleans, but he has to be able to do that stuff himself since his dad isn't going.
Yes I think NJ has some nice beaches. They used to be even nicer. But things change as years go by!!! Ocean City is really nice and Sea Isle is nice and actually Atlantic City is now very nice where it was junky for a while, now that the casinos are there they have cleaned it up and its a nice resort area now! If you went to Atlantic City you could really see Sharky as she's only 45 minutes from there, you'd have to almost pass right by her to get there!!!!

I'll be available when you have your next mishap, I switch from psychiatrist to Medical Doctor in 30 seconds!!! Just hope you don't really need me only because I don't want you to have anything bad.

Yes I've noticed some pretty crazy Wal-mart shoppers!!!! I of course am one of the considerate shoppers but there are tons of the other kind!!! So I do know what you mean and I hate their lack of check out lines and their over crowded parking lots but I do like the store itself, I can't help it, where else can you buy your feminine products, some grapes, a blouse, your dog food, hair gel, get your oil changed and pick up your prescription all in one place???

Yes of course we can charge!!! Now if you want someone to actually pay that's a whole different story!

Uh oh, I hear the snapping of rubber gloves, I am out here!!! :scared1:
I have always wanted to do Atlantic City. But Joe can't be trusted in casinos. He used to have a huge gambling problem. So bad that he would spend entire paychecks just playing those pull tab tickets. I would hate to see what he could do in a casino. Money can really go quick in those places! Maybe we could go there and just stay out of the casinos.

I've stopped being a considerate shopper at Wal Mart. I think if someone feels it necessary to run into me with their cart, I should be allowed to whack em with mine.
:rotfl2:

When we lived in northeasts PA there were many times we had to wait while the cattle crossed the road, LOL!!! It was a riot!
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: HOW CAN THAT POSSIBLY BE FUNNY???
You must have really mad that cow mad, or maybe it had "mad cow disease" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I've never seen a cow charge!!! Cows with those big old bodies have little tiny brains, they are not the brightest animals in the kingdom but always seem very gentle!!!
To be completely honest, I never have, either. Only in my mind. I see them standing on the side of the road as I'm driving past, look in my rearview mirror, and there they are...RUNNING behind me to get me!!!
Ya big sissy! :lmao:
::yes::
Most of the cows I see are carrying signs saying "Eat more chikken!" :lmao: :lmao:

We saw one of them in Erie the other day. Sharon (one of the women I work with) mooed at him out the car window as we drove past.:lmao:

Good morning everyone!

Been a loooong week and an even longer weekend. First with sick DS and now a sick DD. Sigh. I have it but seems my body is fighting it off better. So I just feel miserable but keep on going.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Off to get ready for work.
How is everybody now? All better, I hope.
He's just a party pooper!!

:rotfl: are you scared of fish too?
::yes:: They're big and slimy and they swim into body orifices and lay eggs when you least expect it.
our cop is enforcing some strange rules.
How else am I going to find the contraband? Not that I would use it for myself or anything.
:lmao: Sophia...good one! You'd make a great Sophia. And you better still be around when we all retire down there.

:lmao: :lmao: I love your couch mommom!!

awww I'm sorry MomMom!! I was working on what chris and I are going to do in September....
You could come see gramma! Of course, you would have to do it before September 11th, or after September 21st, so that's not much fun for the birthdays. Of course, Brookville isn't much fun any other time, either.
Hey Ladies :)

Just popping in quick to say hi! My Mom is on her way to stay with us for a few days while my Dad is out of town. I probably won't be around much since I'll have someone to go do something with! Geez do I wish that I had family that wasn't 1 1/2 hours away!

I hope I haven't missed anything with you all! Miss you!

I'll check in soon :grouphug:
Does it really take them that long to get to your place? I thought I drove slow.:lmao:
:faint:

Hey everyone! It's gonna take me FOR-EV-ER to catch up....so not sure I ever will :rotfl:

In case you were wondering where I was this weekend....well it was just one of those weekends....I was really depressed, and moping. I'm getting sick of sitting around on weekends all alone while Mike works 12 hours a day, and this economy doesn't help. It's not like I can go out shopping or anything. :sad2:
So I'm sorry I wasn't around.

Today is not much better. CRAZY day at work! Just wanted to pop in and say hi! :wave2: I hope maybe things will get calmer but I don't forsee that happening! I didn't even get a lunch today! Good thing I never got hungry!
Aww, Cheri! I worked two 12 hour days this week and one 13 hour day, so I can totally relate to the 12 hour shifts. They suck! I think you and Mike need a vacation.

No lunch? Wow, sounds like my job!
Wow --12 hour shifts. I'm sorry -- that sucks. I know the feeling about the economy. Went to the store the other day --- cheese $7.00 milk $5.00 per gallon -- I'm starting to get really worried.

I hope the day and the week get better for you. Could you maybe go have lunch with him? You don't even have to "go out" for lunch --- you could pack something from home. It would save money and you would still be able to spend time together --- and it would get you out of the house. Just a suggestion.

Hi Michele :flower3:
I'm starting to get worried, too. Here, we buy diet iced tea by the gallon, usually 6 at a time. We don't drink soda, so that's what we get. Just a few weeks ago, it was $1.83 for a gallon. Last time I went shopping, it had shot up to $2.45 a gallon. That's a huge price increase. Just a couple of years ago, it was $1.19 a gallon, and sometimes would go on sale for $.99. That's just one of the things I noticed. On a happy note, gas has gone down to $3.89 a gallon.
Hey Nikki....are the pics dis friendly?;)

Of course they are!! The videos might not be, though.

Just wait, I'll show ya a real hottie...
That reminds me of one day when I was VERY YOUNG. I'll bet I was under 10 years old. My grandpa came over, and he was telling my mom a story. There was some jerkoff who did something rude and I exclaimed "That B*stard!"

They both looked at me (he, especially, being a religious man) in shock. :scared1: I didn't realize it was a curse word. I had heard it and though it was just a new word people used to describe jerks. Then my mom had to tell me what it meant. :rotfl:

:confused3 I didn't know. Really.
That reminds me of a story...

My dad took Shane fishing when he was probably 6 years old. He caught a bass fish. He was so excited, he started yelling, "I caught a basster, I caught a basster!!!" We still make fun of him for that.
F Word? What is that? I don't understand? :confused3 :cutie: I guess I am just so darn innocent that I don't understand those things! :lmao: :lmao:
Uh huh, sure.:lmao:

I don't know how I missed this earlier :confused3 Sorry Orangie

I'm sorry you caught the kids cold but glad you are fighting it off better. I hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like fun with your mom in town!! Hope you guys get to do some fun and cool things while she's there!

:rotfl: yeah, me too. Guess everyone was busy over the weekend. Or just relaxing trying not to think too much like me.

boo for :laundy: that's such a never ending task. Just when I think I'm caught up I have more to do.

Miss ya too girl!!
This reminds me of a laundry story. Well, it just happened, so its not like I had to think real hard about it.

I put my purse in the washing machine. I failed to realize that there was an unused (thank goodness...not like I go around carrying used ones) tampon in one of the pockets. Glad it was in a plastic wrapper, or I would have had a mess to clean up in my washing machine.
Well, I got my paid click, Daily and OTX on SR today. So I guess that's good. :thumbsup2 I'm still hoping to get the big bonus but in order to do that I can't miss any more dailies this month. Not sure if that's going to happen but I sure will try.
I'm not getting the big bonus. I only have 11 or 12 completed.
I'm doin alright.... I just had an OTX that you would NOT have enjoyed! (hint:moooooooo!)

Jet lag and an icky tummy... ah, the joys of travelling to Asia.

:rotfl: Funny you should mention cows!
EWW! You didn't get the meat survey, did you?

Ok, I thought you wore him out already.:goodvibes
OK, so I'm in the car with Sharky heading to a DIS meet with Penny and her girls and I look over and I see Sharky rise from the carseat and I'm wondering why is she only rising on one side and then I hear it, a little toot toot tooot noise and I think oh no, here it comes and sure enough there's this rather noxious odor coming from underneath her left butt cheek, pppppuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, stanky!!!!! Had to open the windows for some air as it was very noxious. OK so I get through all that and we get get home and here I am on the couch and she's on the chair at the table just across from me and I hear this loud "toooooooooooooooooooooooot!!!! Then I suddenly get a whiff of what they call the *$)#*@(# Pig Farms. Sharky lives in an area that has farm lands out a ways and in the heat of the summer if the wind is blowing the right way, you can really smell them, yuck, well here I thought the wind was blowing this way and I was totally wrong, it was Sharky who was emitting the noxious odor of the pig farms! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I have to stop and think about what she ate because sh'e not eating it again if I can help it, at least not while I am here! :crazy2:
It was that darn McDoodles!!! I keep telling y'all it's not good for ya!! Poor Sharky couldn't even properly digest it!!:lmao:
Not a "natural" blonde, :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
My hair is naturally purple at the moment.:goodvibes
Speeding in Pennsylvania :

1) Good:

An Erie , PA policeman had a perfect spot to watch for speeders, but wasn't getting many. Then he discovered the problem. A twelve-year-old boy was standing up the road with a hand-painted sign, which read "RADAR TRAP AHEAD". The officer then found a young accomplice down the road with a sign reading "TIPS" . . And a bucket full of money. (And we kids used to just sell lemonade!)

2) Better:

A motorist was mailed a picture of his car speeding through an automated radar post in Pittsburgh , PA. A $40 speeding ticket was included. Being cute, he sent the police department a picture of $40. The police responded with another mailed photo of handcuffs.

3) Absolute Best:

A young woman was pulled over for speeding. As the Pennsylvania State Trooper walked to her car window, flipping open his ticket book, she said, "I bet you're going to sell me a ticket to the State Troopers Ball." He replied "Pennsylvania State Troopers don't have balls." There was a moment of silence while she smiled, and he realized what he'd just said. He
Then closed his book, got back in his patrol car and left. She was laughing too hard to start her car.......
I have GOT to remember to try that!!
Thanks! DD is at the tale end of it now.

I just came back from a walk and the deer flies are horrible. I got attacked!
:scared1:

How's these for DIS friendly pictures?

I hope you all know what this is...the Washington Monument! (I am right, aren't I?)

I think this is some kind of Veteran's Monument. I was just snapping pictures as we drove past.

FasterPussycat004.jpg

The Jefferson Memorial?

FasterPussycat009.jpg

Hey, I know this one! Its the Pentagon!

FasterPussycat010.jpg

I promised ya hot men, so here they are!

FasterPussycat039.jpg

Hey, I didn't say good looking! But he is sweating, so he must be hot, right?

Gotta love a man in black lipstick.

FasterPussycat043.jpg

Now, that was an unflattering picture, huh?

How bout this one?

FasterPussycat044.jpg

Gotta love a guy in a dress?

I better go pack. Actually, I never unpacked yet, so I have to do that, too. I did my laundry, but that was it.

I'll be back tomorrow night. Don't do anything I wouldn't do.;)

Should I even try to catch up?

I'm leaving for VA again today. We're going to see the Lion King at the Kennedy Center!

That sounds like fun. Are you allowed to take pics? if so, we would love some:goodvibes

My God, I was on page 39.

Aww, Sophia...:guilty:

At least you go! I can't take my kids by myself because I don't do that stuff. Shane wants me to take them in September when we stay at Port Orleans, but he has to be able to do that stuff himself since his dad isn't going.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: HOW CAN THAT POSSIBLY BE FUNNY???

To be completely honest, I never have, either. Only in my mind. I see them standing on the side of the road as I'm driving past, look in my rearview mirror, and there they are...RUNNING behind me to get me!!!

::yes:

We saw one of them in Erie the other day. Sharon (one of the women I work with) mooed at him out the car window as we drove past.:lmao:

Maybe you need to write into like Montel and he can ya on his show to get rid of your phobias:rotfl:

How is everybody now? All better, I hope.

::yes:: They're big and slimy and they swim into body orifices and lay eggs when you least expect it.

How else am I going to find the contraband? Not that I would use it for myself or anything.

You could come see gramma! Of course, you would have to do it before September 11th, or after September 21st, so that's not much fun for the birthdays. Of course, Brookville isn't much fun any other time, either.

Does it really take them that long to get to your place? I thought I drove slow.:lmao:

Aww, Cheri! I worked two 12 hour days this week and one 13 hour day, so I can totally relate to the 12 hour shifts. They suck! I think you and Mike need a vacation.

No lunch? Wow, sounds like my job!

Of course they are!! The videos might not be, though.

Just wait, I'll show ya a real hottie...

That reminds me of a story...

My dad took Shane fishing when he was probably 6 years old. He caught a bass fish. He was so excited, he started yelling, "I caught a basster, I caught a basster!!!" We still make fun of him for that.

Uh huh, sure.:lmao:

Love the fish story :rotfl2:

Our walmart has those gallon ice teas for 1.79 last week. Where do you buy yours at?
