The wait is killing me! 2014 packages

I'm right there with ya. My trip isn't until August, but I just want to book it already!!

Yep, the same thing here.

And the funny thing is that I'm GOING to book it. We're going to the Beach Club for a week with the DDP; I can't figure out why actually knowing how much it's going to cost is so important.

I can't book flights yet, and it's way too early to know about discounts... so this isn't even a "real" number.

Yet I'm still counting the days.

I am *waiting* to see if Free Dining is being offered for Oct - then I will book our *bonus* Fall Trip. No idea where we are staying.
And I am *waiting* for them to release the 2014 packages so I can book our BIG summer vacation in 2014. No idea where we are staying.

I'm counting down too! I'm planning (hoping) to go in August 2014 as well, although I can't decide whether to book now because I'm so excited or to wait a bit before committing haha

I think we are booking a mod and then I'll watch to see what comes out discount wise.

I can not wait until packages come out! I am needing to postpone a trip for this October to next October since my mom passed away in May and was my travel partner. I will do a solo trip in 2014 for Food and Wine. Excited and nervous! I have never traveled alone.

Wednesday can't get here soon enough! We were in Disney just over a month ago and I'm itching to book our two week 2014 trip. We will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, our daughter and her husband's 3rd anniversary and our son's 17th birthday while there. I know that we're staying at a moderate resort, getting 8 day tickets with the water park and more option and the dining plan. Just gotta see how much of a hit my pocketbook is going to take.

I'm waiting also. I am planning to be at the World for my 40th birthday March 2014. Does anyone remember when they do the free dinning in the Spring? I'm debating booking a package as soon as it opens , then add dinning later? Or waiting for the Fall to see if they offer any dining in March?

I've got anxiety about the crowd calendars, too....

2yrs ago we had to go during spring break b/c my 18yo niece came and was a senior --- the crowds were killer- but we still had fun... though, vowed never to go during such a busy time.

This year we went the first week in may and LOVED it- planning to go that week again next year- then my company announced a trip that week --- so I can't plan it then.

We're now going to book for arrival March 29th - the day before my son's 7th birthday (we were there for his 5th that first trip).... it's saying on 2 crowd calendars that it will be low crowds starting on the 30th - but I just worry it is wrong!

but whatever- we'll be in Disney right?

I know exactly how you feel. I contacted my Small World rep today. I told her that I knew she would be a very busy woman tomorrow, and there was no rush for my quote, but that we are planning on booking a trip for September and that we would like to add dining later when the Disney Rewards FD incentive comes out.

No, they probably won't come out with any promotions until a later date.

Unfortunately, they do not. It's a wait and see game.

They have no idea when they will need promotions, until they see how booking is going.

They won't roll out the next discount, until the previous package is expired.

They will only roll discounts for a few months at a time.

You can go on mousesavers.com for historical discounts, but I would say all indications from this past year show discounts slowly slowing down. They don't need them as much as they have in the past, and I think you will see discounts begin to morph into other, lower discounts as we saw this year with the free dining length and the quick service plan for values.

I would expect just about anything this year.

I'm they same way. I'm planning for POR for November 2014. I'm way excited!!
