Please forgive me for this, we are Disney die hards, but this trip was spent primarily at Universal.

We got to Orlando on Saturday and didn't actually do Disney until Tuesday night (and that was DTD)

So yes, this probably belongs on the Universal forum, but I like it here

Our first morning

Up with the sun, again. The drapes over the sliding glass door were closed, I rolled over and hubby says, “see that orange glow around the curtain, it’s the sunrise.” Beautiful, isn’t it?

We decided to go to Universal’s Islands of Adventure today. Mom won’t do Universal so after we got ready, we all went to the breakfast buffet with her in the Garden Gallery (only $7.50 per person) and then went our separate ways.

We do hulk first. I sat out of this one, usually do. Spidey was second and Dr Dooms fear fall after that. It’s Tommy’s first trip to the Island side of Universal, he enjoyed it as much as we assumed he would.

We only wandered thru the comic strip area, it was a little too early for water rides.
Actually, most of our first day was spent wandering the park…

We did the JP ride and then went to do Dueling Dragons, we rode the ice coaster.
No-one’s stomach was up to doing fire right after. (This ride has a quick access to the second coaster right off the first one, cool huh?!)

We stopped to see the Voyage of Sinbad and ate counter service just outside the show. I had chili-cheese fries, a couple of us had the chicken wrap and a couple had burgers. The food was so-so.

We thought we were headed out…

But the kids had one more ride to do…back to rip saw falls!

After all this we headed back to the SOG. The kids were so hungry by the end of the night we not only ate at the Evergreen (the SOG pub), we ordered 3 pizzas at 10:30 that night. Yes, they have Pizza!

The kids did the arcade for a while, it seemed to have everyone’s favorite there. AJ like Mortal Combat, my hubby likes the virtual reality game, T & I played pinball and shot a little pool. Britt & Chuck will play whatever’s available, they’re not picky at all.

The next day, when they had a chance, I sent our guys over to Rt 192 to get some food for the cubbords so the kids don’t get hungry like that again.

and they made a point to do a face in almost every one!
