The Voice: Season 2 Official Thread

I thought Juliette blew the house down. I don't think anyone came close to that performance and I'm not even a fan.. by a LONG shot. I AM a fan of James Brown, though.. and WOW, I never thought I'd like a woman singing that song but she changed my mind. :worship:

My next favorite was Tony Lucca, who I just love.

Everyone else was good, I loved Katrina's voice and liked Jamar a lot but based on iTunes sales and performance placement, Juliette is the one they want to win.

I love Tony and Chris, but Juliette is my pick to win. All three will do really well.

BTW..please, please, let Brittany record a single with Tony.

I'm a bit perturbed with Blake this season:confused3He seems disconnected; off; and a bit confusing. It makes you wonder whether all the "gossip" you hear about his life may have some truth to it. :stir:

What rumors are there? I think he took to much on his plate.

i think he's drunk half the time.

okay, the first decision neither surprises nor upsets me. but i really was ambivalent about team Christina. :confused3

I don't see that LOL. It's always funny how peopel see things differently. I thnk like I said before he probably wore out if anything

ohhhh, the Tony win isn't going to score any points with Christina :smokin:she's had a passive-aggressive resistance to him from the start! It's amazing how talented that past generation of Mickey Mouse Clubbers were...justin, britney, Xtena, Tony! go figure  Cyndi Lauper is awesome :thumbsup2

She did not seem to like Tony being there at all.

i don't know if she's really trying to HELP him by being so nasty to him. i don't know if she realizes that is what is happening.

she's nasty; he gets publicity. hm.

i'd think that, except she really does seem to dislike him. it's funny that she didn't recognize him though. i'd think she'd remember someone she really hated. i don't know how much she is in contact with MMC people though. she comes across like she thinks she's better than everyone. it is all about her.

and her precious pet Lindsay is gone now. so, i'm sure she's extra happy now.

He even admitted to drinking, several times on the show. I don't like that side of him, but I still like him 20 times more than Christina.

another thought: could she be irritated that he didn't pick her as a coach? lest she forget, they ALL turned their chairs for Tony.

i think he picked the right coach for him. but i wonder if it bugs her.

I don't think it is something where she hated him when they were part of the mmc. I think she does not like someone who was part of that group being on "her" show. It is all about her you know.

The posing she did when going on stage last night to hug the contestants was a perfect example of her ego.

Tony Lucca said acknowledged Christina's dislike of him, but said he doesn't know why.

I also thought this assessment of Queen Christina was pretty funny:

On Monday's episode of "The Voice," which saw the remaining eight singers perform in the semifinal, it was a Christina Aguilera world ... in case the tiara didn't tip you off.

The pant-less pop diva wanted viewers to know she was the first to consider "How Do You Like Me Now" as a song choice for one of her contestants. She wanted to remind them she knows what it's like to sing "This Is a Man's World" — because, lest you forget, she performed it at the Grammys five years ago. She wanted them to see her leotard and tiara, so she strutted up to the stage (twice). And when it came to her former Mousketeer-mate Tony Lucca, she wanted to make it clear she was rooting for Katrina Parker to be the last one standing on Team Adam.

"I don't know where it comes from," Lucca said of Aguilera's one-woman attempt to take him out of the competition. Perhaps she's bitter she couldn't land a spot on Emerald Cove with the older "MMC" crew? Lucca speculates old riffs may be coming into play.

That really unfair to him. If she truly has a grudge against him. She supposed to help him grow as an artist. Even if he's not on her team

Didn't get a chance to see the show last night but I'm not surprised by the results. I was hoping Katrina and Lindsey would have made it through.
I guess my votes will just go to Juliette. Its kind of sad that Jamar had to go home. Of all the contestants I think he is the sweetest, and I loved seeing how happy for him his mom always was

CLO had the best team. They should have the poeples choice A fift fianlist that would be biggest vote getter that got cut. Jamar looked mad at the end. Clo was very gracious but maybe a couple the things he said about the performance upset him. He was fair and didn't do the 50 50 thing.

Juliette definitely has the edge...considering she's the only girl left standing. Hey, it helped Javier last year. .iMO

I agree about CeeLo's team and about Jamar looking angry. Normally, I would be bothered by a contestant seeming ungracious, but I just felt heartbroken for Jamar. He might have been the second best overall, but being on the same team with the person who had the best overall performance (IMHO) Monday night hurt him. He seemed just overwhelmed by disappointment last night, but I don't think we've heard the end of Jamar.

And personally, I appreciated the fact that both Adam and CeeLo actually ranked their contestants instead of taking the easy way out. I felt like Blake and Christina sorta cheated. Ironic that they both said they wanted to leave this important decision in America's hands, after Blake kept RaeLynn around when all of America was screaming for her to go and Christina booted Jesse when many people thought he was by far the best on her team if not the whole competition. NOW you care what America thinks?!

I'm torn between wanting Juliet or Tony Lucca to win it all. I think if the vote were after the quarterfinal, Tony would've won it, but Monday night Juliet had the slight edge. I look forward to seeing their final performances and hope one of them really blows the roof of the place to be the clear winner. I like Jermaine, too, but I just think Juliet and Tony are a notch above him.
